00:01Look at the stare of the champion against the challenger.
00:06The irresistible force meeting the immovable object.
00:09Look at the size of the giant.
00:12I mean, Hogan is six foot eight.
00:15Andre is seven foot five.
00:17The bell is gone.
00:19This one is officially underway.
00:22Look at the look of the stain on the face of Andre.
00:26What's Hogan saying to him, I wonder?
00:28What could Hogan possibly be saying to him?
00:30Certainly like to be able to read lips at this point.
00:33He's hulking up right now.
00:36Shove by Andre and the champion retaliates.
00:39Big right hand blocked by the champion.
00:43And the Hulkster unloading, going for a slam.
00:45He almost got him up.
00:47He collapsed, one, two.
00:50Two count only.
00:52Was that two or was that three?
00:54Two count only.
00:55Ooh, that was close, Gorilla.
00:56Shoulder was up.
00:58Oh, was that close?
00:59Andre thinks he won it just like that.
01:01Hogan is hurt.
01:02Hogan went for a body slam early in the mountain.
01:05He may have injured his back.
01:07They have hurt that lower back area for sure,
01:10that extreme weight of Andre the Giant.
01:13We're free showing the timekeeper that it was a two count and his shoulder came up.
01:17Well, that was very, very close.
01:19Hogan may be injured.
01:22Andre's going to work on the back.
01:24He definitely is.
01:25Hogan's back is hurt.
01:26That's a bad sign for the champion this early in the bout.
01:31Well, Marie right down there questioning the champion.
01:35And Andre just patiently grinding away with those awesome forearm shots into the kidney area of the champion.
01:43You know, I gotta say Andre's making it look easy right now, Gorilla.
01:47He certainly is, Jess.
01:49You know, the champion may have psyched himself out.
01:52He may have gotten so high for this match that he's blowing himself out before it even happened.
01:57That adrenaline has got to be flowing through the body of the world's heavyweight champion.
02:01A knee lift by Andre, and the Hulk's in serious, serious trouble.
02:07And the big man keeps him down on the mat, it's trouble, all right.
02:11Slam, Andre picked him up with ease.
02:14Whoa.
02:17Right in that lower lumbar region, that kidney area, that's already been damaged.
02:22He almost drove Hogan right through that mat, look at Andre.
02:25Andre telling the champion, get up, get up.
02:28There is almost literally a hush here in the Silverdome, Jess.
02:32You know, it's almost seemed at this point in the bout, it's a mismatch.
02:38Hulkster trying to make it to his feet, Andre gets him up and puts him in another slide.
02:45How many times can the champion take that?
02:48The big giant's working, whoa, look at this.
02:52Walking right over the back of the champ.
02:54You know, the brain's gotta be feeling good right now, Bobby LeBrain, he's gotta be feeling good.
03:01Anxiety running through his veins as well as he is.
03:04What a golden opportunity for him to walk out of here, the manager of the new world's heavyweight champion.
03:10You know, I've never seen Hogan beaten down like this.
03:12I've never seen Hogan crawling on a mat.
03:15It's obvious he hurt his back attempting to go for that quick body slam early in the bout.
03:21Andre picks him up, literally, by the tights, whips him into the side.
03:29Wow.
03:30Further damage done.
03:32And Andre's just taking his time.
03:34Andre, Andre seems to have no fear at all for Hogan's strength.
03:39Not whatsoever, but a lot of guys have made that mistake as well, Jess.
03:44Hard, again, once into the turnbuckles.
03:48And referee right over there, taking a good look at the champ.
03:52As we look over the shoulder of Bobby LeBrain, Hogan.
03:55I heard Andre yell, what do you think of your champion now?
04:02Andre with his shoulder block into the sternum.
04:06You can hear Bobby LeBrain screaming again, again.
04:10And I'll tell you, Hogan started off quick, but has had virtually no offense
04:14since going for that big body slam at the start.
04:20Whoa.
04:21Champ's gotta get out of that corner, he's getting crushed in there.
04:26Gorilla, if he doesn't do it.
04:27The brain just screamed, headbutt him, and Andre delivers.
04:31If Hogan doesn't get out of this predicament right now,
04:34we're gonna see a new champion, Gorilla.
04:36You got that right.
04:39How much punishment can the champion, Hogan, take?
04:42A whole lot, Jess.
04:44I've seen him do it on a number of occasions.
04:46But never from the guy, 525 pounds.
04:49Absolutely not.
04:51Oh, the Hulkster sneaked out under the back door.
04:55He's out of the corner.
04:58And it's the Hulk with the right hand.
05:00And another one, off the ropes, a big roundhouse right.
05:05He's got the giant stunt.
05:07He's got him stunt, can he keep a big elbow?
05:09An elbow, and Andre is just teetering.
05:15Hogan's giving it everything he's got right here.
05:17He's got the giant reeled into the corner.
05:20It's a champion with the upper hand right now, and he rams Andre.
05:24Once, twice, three times, four times.
05:27Into that tough denbuckle, time after time.
05:33Andre, dazed.
05:34The eyes were looking very strange there.
05:39As the Hulk comes off the wall, ran right into that size 22.
05:44Andre, with a tremendous desperation move, caught the champion coming in,
05:49flesh on the jaw with that size 22, 24 boot.
05:53And Hogan's back on the mat, and back in trouble again.
05:56Heenan screaming at the giant, are you all right?
05:58And he looked down and nodded, affirmatively.
06:04What a chop by Andre.
06:08The bear hug.
06:10We could get a submission on this.
06:15I will be the most surprised guy in all of these 93,000 plus,
06:21if the Hulkster submits, Jess.
06:24Well, he may not have no choice, Gorilla.
06:26He has never been put in a hold, in a bear hug like this,
06:30by a man with the size and the strength of Andre.
06:33This guy has guts personified.
06:36I'm not denying that.
06:37I'm not denying that for a minute, he's a tremendous champion.
06:40But he's facing a man who has never been beaten in 15 years.
06:45The record of the reigning world's heavyweight champion
06:48is not a shabby one either, Jess.
06:52Heenan's yelling out, ring the bell, ring the bell.
06:54You can hear Bobby Heenan yelling to referee Joey Morello,
06:58it's over, ring the bell.
06:59Referee right there, checking every side,
07:02checking to see if the Hulkster indeed wants to quit.
07:05Highly unlikely in my book.
07:07But going from side to side, as the Hulk tries to ram that right hand,
07:12it was unsuccessful, Jess.
07:14Yeah, I'm telling you, Gorilla, what's happening here?
07:17Andre has put the squeeze on.
07:19He's taking the air away from Hogan.
07:21Hogan is not being allowed to get a full breath of oxygen in there.
07:24And that's subsequently gonna make him light-handed,
07:27and it's gonna make the knees shake, and it could set him up.
07:30Well, eventually, he'll put him away with it.
07:33If possible, he'll just squeeze all the air out of him,
07:37and not allow any to get in.
07:39And of course, once you deprive the brain of that oxygen,
07:42you can see Hogan's appealing to the 93,000 Hulkamaniacs here in the Silverdome.
07:48Give you that little bit of extra something that you need to get that
07:52adrenaline flowing once more to combat the likes of an Andre the Giant.
07:58Andre holding tough with it, though.
08:00Andre's got him ready for this bump because Andre has rushed nothing.
08:05Hogan's arm is going down.
08:07This could be history right here, Gorilla Matsu.
08:10The Hulkster just withering away here.
08:15Referee checking the arm.
08:17Oh, look at that.
08:17One more time, and it's over.
08:19One more time.
08:20If that arm drops, it's over.
08:23Dropped again.
08:23It's gotta be three times, I believe, Jess.
08:26Oh, look at that.
08:27It's up there.
08:29Listen to these fans.
08:33He's still gotta break the hold, though.
08:36He's still the champion.
08:40Hulk fighting with every ounce of courage in him.
08:44Right on the side of the air with the right.
08:47And another one.
08:48Still hasn't broken a hold.
08:50The third one did.
08:51And another one, and another one.
08:53And the champion unloading with everything he's got.
08:57He's still, he finally broke the hold.
09:01Andre being stunned now.
09:05Champion hurting his hand, but he's hurting the giant as well.
09:08No, no, no, no.
09:10It's a champion off the ropes.
09:12Whoa.
09:12Whoa.
09:16Coming off once again, driving Andre back a few steps.
09:21Unbelievable, Mansoon.
09:23I can't believe it.
09:24Oh, and he caught out.
09:24He caught out of the right match.
09:28Hogan is down.
09:30Andre needs to do something here to finish him off.
09:32Andre shaking his head, trying to clear the cobwebs.
09:36Picks up the champion.
09:38With him.
09:39Nailed him with that boot.
09:40And the Hulkster's out.
09:43Out onto the floor.
09:44Don't let this match end in a counter.
09:46Andre going right out after him.
09:50Andre the Giant continuing to administer the punishment.
09:55What a shot.
09:57Referee is counting both men.
10:00Andre headbutted the post.
10:02He sure did.
10:03The champion dropped right out of the way.
10:06Look at the Hulk crawling around the side.
10:10Trying to figure out where he's at.
10:14He's rolling back, he's rolling back that canvas area.
10:19For what?
10:20To expose that concrete.
10:26World champion Hulk Hogan, look at this, he's going for a pile driver, Jess.
10:34He can't possibly get it.
10:37Andre turned it over.
10:40Hulkster made a big mistake there.
10:45I'll tell you what, that, you know, I don't know what Hogan was thinking up there.
10:48But that was horrible sportsmanship on his part, pulling back that.
10:52And Andre's firing him back into the ring.
10:54Champion being thrown back in.
10:56And Andre underneath the bottom rope as well.
10:59At least now- As we continue.
11:00At least we won't get a count out.
11:02I did not want to see any count out.
11:03I want to see a winner.
11:04Absolutely.
11:06Andre now with an Irish whip in.
11:09And a Hulk slapped underneath that.
11:12He dropped it.
11:13He dropped the big guy.
11:16Look at Heenan, he's been out of shape.
11:20That's the first time I think that the Giants ever been knocked off his feet like that.
11:24Look at the look on the face of the champion.
11:30He's hooking up, Jess.
11:32I don't know if he's got enough left in him.
11:34That adrenaline can do wonders.
11:37We're seeing what this guy is really made of.
11:40Why he is the greatest professional athlete in the world today.
11:44Look at this.
11:45He slammed it.
11:47He slammed the fire.
11:48I don't believe it.
11:50I don't believe it.
11:51I'm dropping a big leg.
11:54Over to the cover.
11:55He got it.
11:58Unbelievable.
12:02I never thought it could be done, Gorilla.
12:06Neither did it.
12:07He's 93,000 plus as the world's heavyweight champion.
12:13Hulk Hogan has proven to everyone what he's made of.
12:17What can I say?
12:19I never thought it could be done, Gorilla Mansoone.
12:24He's thanking the guy upstairs, Jess, as he always does.
12:29Let's get the official announcement.
12:31The winner of the back and still World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan.
12:46Listen to the ovation.
12:50He is truly a real American, Jess.
12:56What can I say, Gorilla?
12:58I'm the man who tells it like it is.
13:00I'll give credit where credit's due.
13:02I never thought the man could ever defeat Andre the Giant.
13:05Never underestimate the ability of the World's Heavyweight Champion, Hulk Hogan.
13:11He proved a lot of guys wrong, Jess.
13:14That he did, Gorilla.
13:18You're looking at a tremendous individual.
13:22That's the first time in 15 years Andre the Giant had ever been defeated.
13:27Never been slammed for that matter, Jess.
13:30Wow.
13:30I mean, that's 525 pounds and that's not dead barbell weight.
13:36That's 525 pounds of living flesh that he picked up and slammed.
13:42There go the losers.
13:43Look at Bobby the Brain Heenan.
13:45Andre still extremely upset.
13:48And that man right there has won the hearts of everyone, Jess, including you.
13:54Look at the Brain.
13:55The Brain thought he had it, Gorilla High thought he had it, the world thought he had it.
13:59The Brain obviously desponded.
14:02What a chance this was for him to make all his dreams and wishes come true.
14:08And look at what the Hulk is giving them now, Jess.
14:13Exactly what they want.
14:16He already gave them what they wanted, the win.
14:19This is just his egomaniac self out there now.
14:25When you can do what he's done right here in this record-breaking event,
14:30you can do anything you wanted.
14:32Well, you know what, Monsoon?
14:33I may have to come out of retirement and win this title.
14:36Oh, boy, I'd pay to see that, Jess.
14:40There he is, the greatest professional athlete in the world today,
14:44the world's heavyweight champion, Hulk Hogan.
14:48And he is proud of himself, and rightly so.
14:56How many millions and millions of people have seen this and witnessed the greatest match I've ever seen?
15:06The greatest wrestling event of all time, WrestleMania III here in the Silverdome.
15:12And the Hulkster, once again, thank you, as he usually does, the man upstairs.
15:18Who knows, maybe his next defense will have to be against Bob Hewgirl.
15:24I'll tell you something, they're all on their feet, Jess.
15:27They've been on their feet for most of the afternoon and evening here, and this just culminates it all.
15:34I'll tell you, Gorilla, there were 93,173 here, and I'd say right now, there's still 80,000 of them
15:41here.
15:41Oh, at least there's nobody leaving.
15:44And the Hulkster's giving them exactly what they want.
15:48Down on one knee, thanking the guy up there who makes it all possible,
15:54and he fulfills that dream by keeping it all together.
16:01This has been a happening, Jess.
16:04History is made here in the Silverdome, Pontiac reaching in, and that guy right there
16:10has made history all over the world.
16:12Well, I gotta tell him like it is.
16:14I didn't think it could be done, Gorilla, but he did it.
16:18Proving a lot of skeptics wrong, World's Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan put an end
16:24to the undefeated streak.
16:26The 15-year reign of Andre the Giant has undefeated.
16:30He'll never be able to say that again, Jess.
16:32That's right.
16:35There he goes as they're still here, still on their feet.
16:41I don't see how what I found.
16:42It's a dream.
16:43It's a dream.
16:44It'sên
16:45Nobody wants a acabatw
