00:02You know what this watch is saying?
00:06This watch is saying,
00:08it's time for Stone Cold Steve Austin to once again lead the alliance to greatness.
00:16That's what it said.
00:21I'm gone for one day.
00:24I successfully defend my title at no mercy in a triple threat match.
00:29I'm gone for one day and you guys lose four titles.
00:36You're pathetic.
00:39What we're going to do tonight, what?
00:43Is we're going to take back what is ours.
00:48Under my leadership, we're going to take back what is ours.
00:53We're going to start with the WCW title which belongs to Y2J Chris Jericho.
01:05I will go on record as saying, if I didn't have these 12 staples in the back of my head,
01:14courtesy of Vince McMahon, that I would personally take that title back myself.
01:25But what we're going to do is, I'm going to look at these alliance members and
01:31ask you, who is the one to step forward and take on Chris Jericho?
01:41No, no, no, no, no, no, shut up.
01:49What we're going to do, we are going to have an alliance battle royal right here tonight.
01:59What?
02:00And the winner of that match will face Y2J tonight for the WCW title.
02:10Now since I can't officially make this match, I'm relying on your expertise and
02:18your good judgment and authority to make this match official.
02:23Will it be the alliance battle royal with the winner facing Y2J tonight?
02:30Most certainly, yes.
02:33And that's the bottom line, because the World Wrestling Federation champion,
02:39Stone Cold Steve Austin, what, said so.
02:43Well, how ironic is it Austin was questioning Shane's rough treatment of the
02:48alliance, but now Austin's pitting alliance members against each other in a battle royal.
02:53Will you stop trying to stir it up?
02:56Stone Cold Steve Austin has demonstrated the great leadership quality that he brings to
03:01the table.
03:02The first ever alliance battle royal to determine who faces Y2J for the WCW title.
03:09Austin watched the title back where he says it belongs.
03:12Is that match next?
03:18Back on SmackDown, Stone Cold Steve Austin couldn't wait to get this alliance battle royal
03:23underway, Paul.
03:24And it's not just an alliance battle royal, it's an over the top rope battle royal.
03:28To be eliminated, you have to go over the top rope.
03:33But more importantly, the winner of this alliance over the top rope battle royal gets a shot at Y2J.
03:40And the WCW title tonight on SmackDown.
03:44Already Billy Kidman and the hurricane have been eliminated in this alliance battle royal.
03:49And as Paul mentioned, the winner to meet Y2J for the WCW title.
03:53Stone Cold Steve Austin coming out here moments ago, upstaging the owners of the alliance,
03:58Stephanie and Shane McMahon.
03:59And you know Paul, it seems ironic to me that Austin questions Shane's so-called tough love,
04:04but Austin's got alliance members beating the hell out of each other in this battle royal.
04:10Thank you for your whimy, worthless, uneducated opinion.
04:14David Richard over the top rope.
04:17And here goes time.
04:18The alliance battling themselves for the right, and a fight, Y2J.
04:23Look out, Lance Storm trying to toss Chris Cannon, and there's Rob Van Damme.
04:27Double team by Hugh Morrison, Bubba Ray Dudley.
04:29So much at stake in this match, a chance to take on Y2J for the WCW title here tonight.
04:35Look how these men are looking to that rope, making sure they don't go over the top rope.
04:42Every man in the ring tonight wants to fight Y2J for the WCW title tonight.
04:49Hugh Morris going to the top rope.
04:51What the hell's he gonna do here?
04:52Look out, Hugh Morris, a tremendous moonsault to Justin Credible.
04:583D!
04:593D!
05:00Again, this chaos thanks to Mr. Vince McMahon.
05:03Ever since that Devil came back, all hell has broken wounds.
05:09Justin Credible has been eliminated.
05:12What a brute!
05:14Hugh Morris is eliminated.
05:15The Alliance Battle Royal continuing.
05:18Wow Lance Storm to Tommy Dreamer, the winner to get a shot at the WWF Chris Jericho tonight.
05:24Jericho the new WCW champion.
05:29As Paul mentioned, it is an over the top rope battle royal.
05:32Must be eliminated by going over the top rope, both feet touching the floor.
05:36The Dudley boys double teaming RBD.
05:40And perhaps it seems to me, Paul, that RBD is a marked man.
05:44Well, RBD is the most popular member of the Alliance.
05:47The crowd drooling ECW.
05:49Of course, these men are gonna try to eliminate RBD.
05:54Every man wants the opportunity to fight Y2J, Chris Jericho, to pursue the WCW.
06:01Well, they're all jealous of him.
06:03You're trying to say that they're all jealous of RBD.
06:05Everyone in the Alliance, jealous of RBD's popularity, jealous of his athletic ability.
06:09Look out!
06:10This is Chuck.
06:12Is that what you're trying to say?
06:13They're jealous of RBD?
06:14No, that's not what I was trying to say.
06:15Perhaps if you'd listen, you'd learn something from him.
06:19Rob Van Dam off the ropes.
06:20Chavo Guerrero up.
06:21Oh, and the top!
06:22Guerrero lands on the apron, however.
06:23And now Test, and what a kick by RBD.
06:26Here goes Chavo.
06:27Adios, amigo.
06:29The Alliance Battle Royal continuing.
06:31Testing Booker Tia team.
06:33Going after Rob Van Dam.
06:36Mike Awesome, Tommy Dreamer, one corner.
06:38Canyon taking it, Lance Storm in the other.
06:40It's Raven working on Bubba Ray Dudley.
06:42Interesting, Mike Awesome and Tommy Dreamer.
06:44When Mike Awesome originally left ECW for WCW, he was in the midst of a storied rivalry with Tommy Dreamer.
06:54They have a lot of unfinished business.
06:56Bubba Ray may be going over the top rope.
06:58Raven working on keeps himself in the ring, however.
07:01Look at this, Tommy Dreamer.
07:03My God!
07:03Mike Awesome crossing Tommy Dreamer through a table over the top rope.
07:09Tommy Dreamer has been eliminated.
07:11Now that is a move by Mike Awesome number one and down a line on Nitro, on Raw, on SmackDown.
07:20Not since Mike Awesome's A-Day in ECW.
07:23Has he done anything that extreme?
07:26But tonight, the stakes in the over the top rope battle royal.
07:30The winner gets a shot at Y2J.
07:34Tommy Dreamer is hurt outside the ring.
07:37And Mike Awesome is gonna try the same thing to RBD.
07:39To the face.
07:41Awesome not eliminated.
07:43He is now on the floor.
07:47Now he is.
07:47Off the eight.
07:48We're doing a clothesline from Bubba Ray Dudley to RBD who just eliminated Mike Awesome.
07:54And check this out, Paul.
07:56This is an awesome feat.
07:58The awesome ball of Tommy Dreamer cracking that table in half.
08:03And he's still being tended to outside the ring as Justin Incredible is eliminated.
08:09The battle royal heating up.
08:12You gotta believe Chris Jericho is somewhere in the back watching this battle royal looking
08:17to see who his opponent is going to be tonight on SmackDown.
08:20In the corner and what a clothesline by Test.
08:26Mr. McMahon is expected here tonight.
08:29The Rock is here as well.
08:30Goof to the face from Canyon to Test.
08:34Boy, Test would make a great WCW Champion.
08:38What a right hand of the gut.
08:40And Canyon taking a tremendous amount of abuse.
08:43Pump handle.
08:44What a slam.
08:47Over the top rope.
08:48No pitfalls in this battle royal.
08:50Canyon up over the top.
08:51Down before below he's eliminated.
08:53I figured out the answer.
08:55Who better than Canyon?
08:56Test of course.
08:58So look at this.
08:59The W boys squaring off in one corner.
09:02Test of Booker T, Parker's in the other corner.
09:04And Raymond and RBD have paired off.
09:06Only six men remain.
09:08Six men will have them battle it out.
09:10Strength in numbers perhaps.
09:11Ray with the Devon.
09:13Bubba Ray to test Booker T to Rob Van Dam.
09:15And here we go.
09:16Tommy Dreamer still being attended to outside the ring after being tossed through the table.
09:21Six men remain.
09:22Who will face Jericho here tonight?
09:24But not just tossed through the table.
09:26Toss from the middle of the ring, over the top rope, through the table, and Devon's out.
09:32Devon Dudley and Bubba Ray is well eliminated.
09:35Through from Test of Raven.
09:36Raven is gone.
09:38RBD, Test of Booker T remains.
09:41RBD is all alone against Booker T and Cash.
09:44The former WCW Tag Team Champions are in the ring against Rob Van Dam.
09:50And Rob Van Dam with a crowd chanting RBD, working on Booker T.
09:55RBD ripped into the corner.
09:56The unorthodox Rob Van Dam.
09:58No, he didn't.
10:00He hung out of the apron.
10:01Through Mike Test and Van Dam is eliminated.
10:03And Test knocked out by his own partner, Booker T.
10:07Booker T wins.
10:08Booker T faces Jericho.
10:10And Test can't believe it.
10:12Booker T.
10:13Ladies and gentlemen, if you are gonna win this victory tonight,
10:16when Booker T becomes a six-time WCW Champion after he gets his hand on Y2J.
10:25And Test gave it thumbs up to Booker T after that shock of being eliminated wore off.
10:31Check out what happened in the flurry in this matchup.
10:34Test is okay with it.
10:36What are you trying to stop?
10:37Here we go.
10:38Ladies and gentlemen, the single most electrifying move is sports entertainment,
10:43The Spinner Rudy.
10:46I don't know who's more nuts, Booker T, or you, Paul.
10:53That was beautiful.
10:55Hopefully that'll be the last time we see it tonight.
