00:00If you clap a little bit more, I may share this prize with Trump.
00:10Navi Pillay has just won the Nobel Peace Prize now.
00:26If I may interrupt Mr. Duhaym.
00:32For those of you who are following us online, we just heard that Navi Pillay,
00:38who is an extraordinary figure in the field of international law,
00:44international criminal law and transitional justice,
00:46has just been awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize.
01:37If you clap a little bit more, I may share this prize with Trump.
01:47We don't know about this, so my question is, is it true?
01:55Did you never look at you?
01:57No.
01:58They called me.
01:59Christopher called me out now to tell me.
02:01I said, it must be a joke.
02:05Oh, you want me to use it?
02:06That's all my audience.
02:11It's everywhere. It's on the BBC.
02:13Wow.
02:14Firstly, at this venue, your applause means a great deal to me.
02:21Really did.
02:22You know, you don't want to receive an award prize or anything
02:25unless the public agrees that you deserve this.
02:29So that's how I appreciate your applause today.
02:33Thank you so much.
02:33But being a lawyer and a judge, I still want to verify this information.
02:42Do you want me to say any more?
02:44I think it's very appropriate that I'm with friends and colleagues,
02:48all of whom support human rights.
02:52The last thing I did is the delivery of the report on Gaza,
02:58naming what's happening there as genocide.
03:07Yeah, so one of the main reactions to that report
03:11is paying tribute to me for my courage.
03:16And you can imagine how surprised I was.
03:18Why would you need courage to speak the truth?
03:22You interpret the law, you look at all the facts,
03:25so it's an impartial decision making.
03:30So right now I'm still involved as ad hoc judge
03:33in the case brought by the Gambia against Myanmar.
03:38So everybody says, when are you going to stop?
03:41When are you going to stop?
03:42I just turned 85 last month here.
03:47I can't obviously stop my work in support of the Nuremberg Principles Academy
03:54because of the people we meet here.
03:57But really thank you so much.
03:58You know, I hope this is not a joke then.
04:00I've said all this.
04:05Just thank you.
04:21Great.
