In an unprecedented show of global consensus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Israel, Pakistan, and Cambodia have all backed U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. Armenia’s Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijan’s Ilham Aliyev jointly credited Trump for brokering a landmark peace deal ending decades of conflict in the South Caucasus, calling him a “peacemaker.” The agreement includes a U.S.-controlled transit corridor — the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” — linking Azerbaijan to its Nakhchivan exclave through Armenia.

Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu, Pakistan’s government, and Cambodia’s Hun Manet also nominated Trump, citing his role in defusing conflicts from the Middle East to South Asia. The White House hailed the deal as a setback for China, Russia, and Iran. With multiple nations — some rivals — rallying behind him, Trump’s Nobel push has become one of the most talked-about diplomatic developments of the year.

00:00The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia
00:04will now sign the Joint Declaration on the Outcomes of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity Summit.
00:20That is so great, and we'll hold up. How about holding up that document, all right?
00:28Can I have a suggestion?
00:29Yes.
00:30So maybe we agree with Prime Minister Pashinyan to send a joint appeal to the Nobel Committee
00:37to award President Trump with the Nobel Peace Prize because...
00:49From the leaders of the countries which were at war for more than three decades, having this historic signature here,
00:57it really means a lot. This is tangible result of President Trump's leadership, and no one could have achieved that.
01:06There have been many presidents here since the beginning of the 90s, and the so-called Minsk process,
01:14which, by the way, today we put an end to with my Armenian colleague, started in 1992.
01:22So negotiation under the auspices of OSCE continued for more than three decades without any result.
01:31So who, if not President Trump, deserves the Nobel Peace Prize?
01:36I don't want to go into the history of some very strange decisions of the Nobel Peace Committee to award the prize for someone who didn't do anything at all.
01:47No.
01:48But President Trump, in six months, did a miracle.
01:52So I think that my Armenian colleague will support it, and judging by the reaction of the audience,
01:59I think as soon as we come back, we will agree to issue a joint letter, and hopefully, and I also join when the President is awarded,
02:09we hope that he will invite us.
02:11Because I think President Trump deserved to have a Nobel Peace Prize, and we will defend that, and we will promote for that, and that's obvious.
02:29So, and today's event, I think, is a very bright expression of that, and hopefully, you will invite us to...
02:43Front row, you'll be front row.
02:46The President of the United States, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia
02:53will now sign the Joint Declaration on the Outcomes of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity Summit.
02:59That's really beautiful.
02:59They will sign three copies in English.
03:07That is so great, and we'll hold up...
03:09How about holding up that document, all right?
