A now disbanded homelessness camp in Perth's south has made headlines in recent weeks, but it's far from the only place people squeezed out of the housing market have been forced to take shelter. Support services say it's a growing issue across Perth, and systems are struggling to keep up.

01:26Even the people that have been holding down jobs for 20 or 30 years, they're coming in
01:30and they're at the point of becoming homeless because they can't afford just their everyday necessities.
01:38It does make it quite tricky for outreach support services to then support people who are moving up and down
01:46the coast.
01:47Support services left with few options but to help tide people over.
01:51Homelessness is really something that doesn't discriminate anymore.
