00:58Pandey says after spending six hours there, one thing became clear to her, which was that the healthcare system is
01:03not under pressure, it is in crisis, and that the country's elderly deserve better.
01:09The NCRHA is however condemning Pandey for turning the circumstances surrounding an at-risk individual needing medical treatment into a
01:16subject of political controversy.
01:17The NCRHA stated, quote,
01:20Decades of neglect cannot be reversed in just over one year. However, it is determined to address these deficiencies and
01:27deliver the improvements that patients, healthcare professionals, and the wider public deserve. End quote.
01:32The NCRHA also said it firmly rejects any portrayal of its current leadership as detached from the realities facing patients
01:40or unwilling to confront the challenges within its institutions.
01:43The release ended by saying, quote,
01:46The authority remains resolute in its commitment to correcting long-standing deficiencies, expanding healthcare services, and improving the patient experience.
01:54End quote.
