00:14Enslaving monks who saved him.
00:16After the accident that left him with a scarred face,
00:19Doom heard about an order of Tibetan monks who lived in the Himalayan mountains
00:23and possessed secret magic techniques.
00:25So he set off only to get injured in the tundra.
00:28Yet the monks found Doom and took him back to their temple to nurse him back to health.
00:32Most people would have been grateful, but not Doom.
00:35He had other plans.
00:36After mastering the monks' techniques in magic and technology, Doom became their leader.
00:41Immediately, he used the monks in his quest for power and revenge against Reed Richards
00:45by getting them to create his iconic armor and mask.
00:48Yet rather than thank them, Doom later killed all of them except one.
00:52Wiping out the heroes on Battleworld.
00:53This power, this responsibility, is my destiny.
00:58If there's even a tiny chance of Doom gaining more power, he'll take it, no matter the cost.
01:03In 1984, the bombastic Secret Wars event took place,
01:07which featured heroes and villains battling it out on Battleworld because of the Beyonder.
01:12Well, Doom wanted that.
01:13After taking Galactus' power, Doom used it to steal the Beyonder's vast abilities.
01:18So, of course, he immediately fixed his face, but he wasn't done.
01:21As the heroes were planning what to do with Doom and voted to face him,
01:25he blasted their base with a single bolt of energy.
01:27In a flash, 21 heroes, including big hitters like She-Hulk, Thor, and Hulk were killed.

01:35I don't think so.

01:38Then sample my fury!
01:41Waged War on Wakanda
01:43Given his metal armor and strong passion for magic, Doom would always want Vibranium.
01:48After all, the strong substance can amplify magic.
01:50As such, in 2010, the Latveria ruler launched the Doom War storyline,
01:55invading Wakanda with the aid of the Destory.
01:58After breaking into the Vibranium Vault, Doom built factories all over the world,
02:02which made stronger Doom bots.
02:04Despite help from the X-Men and the Fantastic Four,
02:07T'Challa had to take serious action to defeat Doom.
02:10The Black Panther used a device that turned the world's Vibranium inert,
02:14leading to Doom's downfall and potentially destroying Wakanda in the process,
02:18which thankfully wasn't the case.

03:13pointing out his ridiculous armor and calling his behavior ludicrous.
03:16Well, that didn't go well.
03:18Doom responded by fatally blasting Victor with energy.
03:21He then grabbed the ultimate nullifier on the wall
03:23and wiped the universe from existence.

03:31Tormenting the Fantastic Four.
03:33With his long hatred of the Fantastic Four,
03:35there have been times when Doom has gotten the better of them,
03:38albeit temporarily.
03:39No!
03:40Doom, stop!
03:41You don't know what you're doing!
03:43Quite the contrary.
03:44I know exactly what I'm doing.
03:46Yet during those brief windows,
03:48he's put the family in lots of pain.
03:50In Fantastic Four No. 70,
03:52while hyped up on magic,
03:53more on that later,
03:54Doom gave Johnny Reed's powers and stretched him weirdly,
03:57gave Sue Johnny's powers,
03:59and had the thing repeatedly beaten up by the mindless ones.
04:02During the 2019 Herald of Doom story arc,
04:05Victor channeled his inner jigsaw from Saw
04:07and made a load of contraptions to cause as much pain as possible
04:10before attempting to execute them.
04:12Of course, they got free and got revenge
04:14by stripping Doom of everything publicly.

04:27While he's usually one of the most powerful Marvel characters in existence,

04:33Franklin Richards was a normal human after losing his abilities.
04:36With that in mind, it makes what Doom did even worse.
04:39After teaming up with the Hazareth III,
04:41a group of demons, Doom attacked the FF.
04:44During it, he helped send Franklin,
04:46who was a child at this point, to Hell.
04:48In Marvel, time works differently there.
04:50Years in Hell can only last minutes on Earth.
04:52During that time, demons and beasts tormented Franklin.
04:55While he was saved from Hell,
04:57he had PTSD from the experience.
04:59Franklin believed he was still trapped there
05:01and needed Sue and Ben to help him recover.
05:03One world under Doom.
05:04Doctor Doom is Sorcerer Supreme?
05:06What could go wrong?
05:07I conquered nothing.
05:10I saved the Earth from humanity.
05:13During the Blood Hunt event,
05:14Doctor Strange gave Doom the magical title,
05:17stating he'd save the world.
05:18However, after the event,
05:19he tricked Strange, declaring it wasn't safe yet.
05:22During the One World Under Doom event,
05:24Victor placed the entire world under one country,
05:26the United Latveria.
05:28Immediately, the heroes were suspicious
05:29and believed Doom was up to something nefarious.
05:32Well, they were right.
05:33They just didn't realize it'd go this far.
05:34Sue, Wanda, and Natasha found that Doom
05:37had locked away one million Latverians
05:39and was using them as batteries to increase his power.
05:42While Doom gave his life to resurrect
05:44his goddaughter, Valeria,
05:46it still doesn't make up for what he did.
05:48Experimenting on Asgardians,
05:49it's easy to forget that behind all the sorcery,
05:52there's a scientist under Doom's iron mask.
05:54You have heard the saying,
05:55knowledge is power.
05:57I have all the knowledge.
06:00Therefore, I have all the power.
06:02Yet rather than a helpful, nice one,
06:04it's an evil, mad scientist
06:05who doesn't believe in ethics.
06:07In 2009, Asgard was moved
06:09from Broxton, Oklahoma,
06:10to Latveria due to Loki's suggestion.
06:13However, rather than looking out for his people,
06:15the god of lies was working with Doom
06:16to commit horrific crimes.
06:18He was abducting Asgardians
06:19and experimenting on them
06:21to find the source of the god's powers and immortality.
06:23If that wasn't terrible enough,
06:25Doom also forcefully converted his Asgardian victims
06:27into obedient and monstrous cyborgs.
06:29Several gods were either killed
06:31or turned into abominations by Doom,
06:33including Kelda and Endric,
06:35the tale of the original Valeria.
06:36For many Marvel fans,
06:37there's only one Valeria,
06:39the daughter of Reed and Sue
06:40and the goddaughter of Doom,
06:41who helped bring her into the world.
06:43However, long ago, there was another.
06:45Before he became Doom,
06:46the teenage Victor was in a relationship
06:48with Valeria von Frazen.
06:50Yet when he went to the US,
06:51their relationship fizzled out.
06:53Well, in the 2003 story arc Unthinkable,
06:55Doom reunited with her.
06:56Only it was a trick.
06:57He'd made a deal with demons
06:59to sacrifice something irreplaceable,
07:00say, the only woman who loved him,
07:02for incredible power.
07:03To make it worse,
07:04Valeria's skin was also turned
07:06into Doom's powered-up armor.

07:08Valeria's torment wasn't over,
07:10as her soul went to hell
07:11and she later teamed up with Mephisto.
07:13God Emperor Doom.
07:14You don't get much more evil
07:15than remaking the world,
07:16rewriting your enemy's family to be yours,
07:18and ruling over the world
07:19with a godly iron fist.
07:21This world is mine to rule,
07:23and mine alone.
07:25Yet that's where Doom put himself
07:26in the 2015 event Secret Wars.
07:29Armed with the Beyonder's powers,
07:30which were being channeled
07:32by the Molecule Man,
07:33God Emperor Doom formed Battleworld
07:35from a patchwork of realities
07:36and made himself a deity,
07:38warping the residents' memories.
07:40Doom made Doctor Strange his minion
07:42and turned the thing into a wall.
07:44He also showed no restraint
07:45when it came to offing others.
07:46Strange, Thanos,
07:47and a phoenix-powered cyclops
07:49were all killed by Doom
07:50with little effort
07:51during his tyrannical rule.
