00:00Welcome to WatchMojo and today we're counting down art picks for iconic
00:10entrances made by MCU antagonists across movies and television.
00:1410 – Arthur Harrell – Moon Knight
00:23Cult leaders are always terrifying when it comes to the stranglehold they have over their
00:27disciples, though Harrell takes things up a notch given his power to judge those for sins
00:31that have yet to come to pass.
00:49Originally in Avatar Khonshu, he now serves Ahmet, who has no hesitation when it comes
00:53to killing those for what they may or may not do later in life.
01:06This is made abundantly clear as Steven Grant watches among the crowd as Harrell goes about
01:10judging members of his flock.
01:11While one gets off scot-free, another is not so lucky.
01:30Harrell may be charismatic, but it doesn't take away from his condoning of these mystical
01:35executions.
01:369 – Mysterio – Spider-Man Far From Home When we're first introduced to Quentin Beck,
01:41he easily falls into the archetype of a typical hero indistinguishable from the rest, seeking
01:45aid from Peter Parker while filling the hole of a mentor figure left behind by Tony Stark.
01:50That is, until his true colors are revealed.
01:55Mysterio's switch-up as the film's antagonist was wild, even for those familiar with the comics.
02:00A master illusionist, Beck swiftly showcases that, in reality, he's a shallow, egotistical,
02:06sore loser, with one hell of a vendetta against Stark.
02:09To the man who brought us all together, our former boss, Tony Stark, the Jester King.
02:15The change is sudden, sharp, and somehow grossly endearing.
02:18He made a fool of everyone and relished every moment of his deception.
02:22With our technology, and with Edith, Mysterio will be the greatest hero on Earth.
02:29Then everyone will listen.
02:338 – Thor Love and Thunder Anyone who's anyone will tell you that
02:38gore was by far the best part of Thor's ill-fated fourth outing, with an origin story bound in
02:43grief.
03:05After his daughter dies from the inhospitable conditions of their homeworld, a distraught
03:09gore comes face-to-face with his own god, who is less than sympathetic to his plight.
03:25Enraged, gore decides to go all-in on deicide, using the power of the necrosword to slaughter
03:30the deity then and there, before setting out on a god-killing crusade.
03:347 – Cassandra Nova Deadpool and Wolverine
03:37When your interests consist of walking out of Ant-Man's giant skull, poking Deadpool's
03:41brain with bare fingers, and instantly removing the skin from Johnny Storm's body, you know
03:46you've met a villain that's not to be trifled with.
03:48You're one of Xavier's.
03:49You know him?
03:50You know Chuck?
03:51Oh, I knew him.
03:52We shared a womb.
03:54Tried to strangle the sly little fellow with my umbilical cord.
03:58Amen.
03:59I've never loved roommates.
04:00As the twin of Charles Xavier, Cassandra has unmatched telekinetic abilities, the kind that
04:05allows her to destroy even a pair of mutants with extreme self-regeneration.
04:16With hardly any effort at all, she breaks down both Wade and Logan, forcing them to flee
04:20with their tails between their legs.
04:23Too bad Johnny wasn't as lucky.
04:25Well, this has been fun, but the big guy needs to eat and the rent is due.
04:32By the way, you're the rent.
04:34Number 6, Hela, Thor Ragnarok.
04:36Moments after Odin's death, Thor and Loki are greeted with the unexpected and unwelcome
04:41side of their sister, the infamous goddess of death.
04:43So he's gone.
04:44To shame I would have liked to have seen that.
04:50Who wastes no time in revealing just how powerful she really is.
04:54Kneel.
04:55Beg your pardon.
04:57Kneel.
04:58When you can stop Mjolnir one-handed before crushing it to smithereens, you've earned
05:06the right to be smarmy-ness incarnate.
05:08It's not impossible.
05:10Darling, you have no idea what's possible.
05:16Of course, Hela was only just getting started, since she not only sent both brothers tumbling
05:20through the Bifrost, but went about laying waste to Asgard by her lonesome.
05:24Number 5, Ronin, Guardians of the Galaxy.
05:27They call me terrorist, radical, zealot, because I obey the ancient laws of my people, the Kree.
05:37There are Kree zealots, and then there's Ronin.
05:39The accuser is almost single-minded in his hatred towards Xander and Kree superiority, which
05:44he demonstrated in his first scene in the bloodiest way possible.
05:47You will never rule Xander.
05:50No.
05:51I will cure it!
05:55After going through his daily ritual and adorning himself in his classic look, Ronin
05:58wasted no time in bringing the hammer down on a captured Nova Corps member.
06:02It is brutal, and let us know that mercy is not a word that exists in Ronin's vocabulary.
06:07I promised Thanos I would retrieve the orb for him.
06:11Only then will he destroy Xander for me.
06:14Number 4, Agatha Harkness, WandaVision.
06:17Wanda, Wanda.
06:18You didn't think you were the only magical girl in town, did you?
06:24When we're first introduced to Agatha, she seems to be nothing more than a nosy neighbor
06:28played delightfully by Katherine Hahn.
06:30That is, until she makes a much darker reintroduction towards the season's end, where she reveals
06:35that she is and always has been a witch, one with a great interest in Wanda's power.
06:40While that's all kinds of sinister, it's the accompanying musical montage that really seals
06:44the deal.
06:53Taking inspiration from the great surf rock songs of the past, as well as iconic spooky
06:57TV theme songs like The Addams Family and The Munsters, we get to see Agatha work her
07:01magic behind the scenes and cause chaos for all involved.
07:05Only Agatha could get away with busting out a top charting song that ends with an admission
07:09of killing a dog.
07:10Number 3, The Void, Thunderbolts.
07:17Poor Bob.
07:18The guy just wanted to find some peace and become a better person, but in the end, was
07:21consumed by his trauma.
07:23Unfortunately for the rest of the world, his trauma happens to be a super-powered physical
07:27manifestation known as The Void.
07:29I am a void.
07:31Pitch black with lifeless eyes, The Void is the embodiment of crushing despair.
07:36As soon as it's released, it wastes no time in dragging everything in view into its
07:40darkness, locking them away in prisons formed from their own shame.
07:43We can't stop going alone.
07:47No one can.
07:49It's a horrifying prospect with its roots buried in reality, which is what makes this
07:55amalgamation of negativity so damn imposing.
07:57Look what you are unleashed.
08:01You can't outrun the emptiness.
08:03Number 2, Ultron, Avengers Age of Ultron.
08:06No.
08:07How could you be worthy?
08:12You're all killers.
08:14An insidious artificial intelligence who decides humanity is worth exterminating after only
08:19a few seconds browsing the internet.
08:21That's Ultron at its core, overwhelming intelligence without a trace of empathy.
08:25I'm on mission.
08:26What mission?
08:28Peace in our time.
08:30As for his intro, it easily steps into the waters of horror.
08:34Can you imagine a more haunting sight than a shell of a broken piece of Iron Man armor
08:39crawling into view, waxing poetic about its murderous intentions, before peacing out by
08:43singing Pinocchio?
08:44Combine that with James Spader's mesmerizing performance and you have a villain to remember.
08:49I had strings, but now I'm free.

09:071.
09:08Avengers Infinity War
09:12For years, the mad titan had been hinted at as the ultimate big bad.
09:17The endgame, if you will.
09:18Destiny arrives all the same, and now it's here, or should I say, I am.
09:29He had brief appearances here and there, but nothing could have prepared us for when the
09:32boss man showed up to put his plan for universal genocide into motion.
09:36In a single stroke, he wipes out the Asgardian refugees, kills both Heimdall and Loki, reclaims
09:41the space stone, and breaks Thor physically and mentally.
09:44I'm dying.
09:45You should choose your words more carefully.
09:51Oh, he also bodied the Incredible Hulk like he was a ragdoll.
09:55There are flexes, and then there's this.
09:58No resurrections this time.
