A firefighter sets his own home ablaze for his mistress’s drill, trapping his three-year-old daughter inside. The mother watches via security cam, but he dismisses her pleas, calls the child illegitimate, and prioritizes the assessment. As flames consume the nursery, the daughter’s ghost emerges—still apologizing for being “bad.” Only when charred remains, a melted necklace, and final recordings surface does he break down. But forgiveness never comes.
