Transcript
00:00Kiara here from Stock Journal.
00:02We're here at Wilparina Station in the outback of South Australia.
00:06I'm here at what they call Little Dam.
00:08Little Dam was completely underwater.
00:11They had an immense amount of rainfall that they haven't seen in quite some time here at the station
00:15and the water did flood right through like a clay pan, almost to the house.
00:21The station is run by the Litchfield family
00:23and they have three different connecting stations that are side by side
00:27where they run an organic sheep and cattle operation.
00:32Predominantly Aussie Whites in the sheep side of things
00:34and predominantly Angus in the cattle side of things.
00:37It's been an excellent time here learning about the different stuff that the Litchfields get up to.
00:41They have some low stock handling practices that they undertake on the station
00:46including having pens set up at various points across each station
00:50so that they can muster into those pens as opposed to mustering to one central point on the properties.
