00:11So it was earlier tonight that Roman Reigns beat Alberto Del Rio in our first
00:17semi-final matchup to find his way in the finals.
00:21One win away from being WWE World Heavyweight Champion and
00:25finally King climbing to the top of the mountain.
00:28And the next time we see Roman Reigns come down through the WWE Universe like this,
00:34he may be wearing the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist.
00:38Or he may get just that close again and not win it.
00:42Okay.
00:43That is a possibility that John mentions.
00:46Been close on several different occasions as Roman Reigns.
00:50Tonight he looks to seal the deal.
00:53And here is our updated terminate, terminate.
00:57Easy for you to say, right?
00:59Tournament brackets.
01:00Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose in the finals.
01:03One of these two men will be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
01:0816 men started, we're down to the final two.
01:13And nothing matters but this match.
01:15The great matches Roman Reigns has had, the great matches Dean Ambrose have had.
01:19None of it matters, what matters now is this match.
01:23One man walks out, WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
01:37It's Dean Ambrose, earlier tonight being Kevin Owens.
01:42And Ambrose now goes one-on-one with a man he considers his best friend as gross as a brother,
01:47Roman Reigns.
01:48But earlier tonight, Dean Ambrose told Roman, hey, we knew this day was coming since the beginning.
01:57Tonight, it's about the championship.
02:01Brotherhood gets thrown out the window for this one match.
02:10The following is the finals of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament.
02:19Introducing first, from Pensacola, Florida, weighing in at 265 pounds, Roman Reigns.
02:35And his opponent, from Cincinnati, Ohio, weighing in at 225 pounds, Dean Ambrose.
02:49Hashtag WWE title to discuss this matchup on social media.
02:55Well, we saw the brackets earlier, 16 superstars were entered into this tournament.
02:5914 of them have had their dreams of being the WWE Champion, DAS.
03:04And we know this, for the 11th time in Survivor Series history,
03:08a new champion will be crowned, Reigns and Ambrose.
03:12And look at this, going right out to start this matchup.
03:15And Roman Reigns tossing Ambrose.
03:21Brotherhood went out the window pretty quick when he put a championship on the line.
03:24Well, he told Dean that's what was gonna happen.
03:27And you say all the time, and you come into this business, it's about winning a championship.
03:31That's what it is for Ambrose and Reigns.
03:34Reigns, what a collision.
03:38I'm talking about how many incredible superstars have never won a championship.
03:43These two great superstars right here are incredible.
03:46Neither one have held that WWE World WWE Championship yet, one of them will.
03:51This is the opportunity of a lifetime.
03:53Ambrose wants some more, ducks underneath the right hand, and Ambrose sends Reigns over the top rope.
04:00These two men, I guarantee you're gonna leave it all out of the line for
04:04an opportunity in the title.
04:06Who wants it more?
04:11Who does want to know?
04:13And Ambrose sent into the barricade.
04:15Make your opinion, John, once and more.
04:18I think it's almost impossible to measure.
04:21I think Roman Reigns being so close so many times earlier in the year,
04:25I think that goes a little bit to Roman Reigns.
04:27But he almost got a taste of it.
04:29Once you get a taste of it, King, you've held many chances, as you know.
04:34You are the promised land.
04:36You want it back.
04:39John, you have been a champion on top here in WWE.
04:42You know how important having that title is.
04:45Absolutely changes your life and changes everybody's perspective of you and your career.
04:50And that's a great way to look at it because one of these men, one of these lives,
04:54this man here tonight will be changed forever.
04:56You're right about that.
04:57I said earlier, 14 superstars' dreams of being champion have already been dashed.
05:02One of these superstars' dream is gonna be dashed as Ambrose.
05:05Missile dropkick, top rope into the cover, hooks the leg now, and Reigns who kicks out.
05:12Some incredible athletes, Ted DiBiase, Arne Anderson, all the legends in this bit,
05:17and some of the greatest of all time, never been world champion.
05:19Yeah, great strategy here for Ambrose, continuing to work on the shoulder and the arm.
05:24These guys have really been going at it hard, watch this, ooh.
05:28Remember the, there's Ambrose again taking out Reigns.
05:34Shoulder and arm was worked on last week by Cesaro, and then earlier tonight by Del Rio,
05:38Ambrose realizing that could be the target.
05:41Look how far that arm is bending backwards with Roman Reigns.
05:44Look how big and strong you are, that arm's not supposed to bend like that.
05:49These guys have been through hell to get to this point.
05:52There is no reason to walk out without leaving everything out there.
05:57You mentioned the fact that winning the World Heavyweight Championship here in the WWE
06:03changes your life.
06:04Hey, what about when you come this close and you lose it here tonight?
06:08One of these guys is gonna have his life changed in that way.
06:11How do you go on after a loss when you come this close?
06:16I think that's one of the toughest things that you're gonna have to face.
06:19That's the-
06:20This whole thing, that's why the stakes are so high.
06:23You never know when you're gonna get that next opportunity, or if you're gonna get that
06:26next opportunity.
06:27And Roman Reigns was favoring the injured shoulder.
06:30Man.
06:30Again, there we go, sit out power bomb isn't enough to put Ambrose away.
06:33Did crown a new champion in an air fall for Reigns.
06:35Roman Reigns was the number one contender.
06:38He could've got in this spot very easily.
06:40Dean Ambrose was not.
06:41Dean Ambrose is lucky to be here, and he could walk out right now.
06:45He's here because of talent, but it's luck to have the tournament in front of him.
06:50He could walk out of here, WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
06:54Seth Rollins forced to vacate the title after a serious knee injury needed surgery to
06:58repair out six to nine months, hence the reason for this tournament.
07:02Remember Triple H offered Roman Reigns a bye pretty much into the finals.
07:08Roman Reigns said, I wanna earn it myself.
07:11And he's done that so far.
07:13But he's gotta win this match to become champion.
07:17I gotta be thinking that this match is a nightmare to Triple H right now.
07:21You know he didn't want either one of these.
07:23Not Dean Ambrose, not Roman Reigns to be the face of the WWE.
07:30Man, Reigns hit hard.
07:32He barely got enough of Roman Reigns.
07:34A huge opportunity, here it comes.
07:37And Dean Ambrose take advantage.
07:38Top rope, waiting for Reigns to make it back to his feet.
07:42Roman not quite sure where he's at.
07:44Dean Ambrose, what a collision.
07:46Was that a Superman punch?
07:48Roman Reigns covers shoulders down and Ambrose kicked out.
07:52Reigns thought that that was his moment.
07:55This will answer your question, King.
07:57And yes, it was, a Superman punch by Roman Reigns caught Dean Ambrose.
08:02In midair, how did Ambrose survive that?
08:08What?
08:09Once again, Roman Reigns was about a half a second away from being champion.
08:13And John, that's gotta weigh on your mind if you're Roman Reigns.
08:15You hit Ambrose with your best shot, the Superman punch, and he was still able to kick out.
08:19You gotta wonder, is it gonna slip away from you again?
08:21You think that's creeping into his mind, perhaps?
08:24I think it has to be.
08:28Uh-oh.
08:31Reigns focused.
08:32Ambrose back to his feet.
08:34Roman Reigns measuring his man.
08:36Here comes Reigns, went for the Superman punch again.
08:38Dean Ambrose looking for Dirty Deeds.
08:39Reigns able to counter with a right of his own.
08:42And Ambrose with a clothesline off the ropes.
08:45And now Ambrose fired up.
08:48And Ambrose is feeling it.
08:50Spear, spear by Reigns, cover for the championship, and Ambrose kicked out.
08:56Now the doubts really have to be there for Reigns.
09:00Yeah, how could they not be?
09:03Roman has been so close so many times this year.
09:10Just hit Dean Ambrose with a move that he has finished off so
09:13many superstars here in the WWE.
09:15And he did not finish Dean Ambrose off.
09:17Not to mention the Superman punch just a bit earlier, John.
09:21I can tell you one thing that has set in on both of these guys,
09:25these former friends.
09:26Reality.
09:27They both realize at this point that each one of these guys is gonna do
09:30absolutely anything in their power to win.
09:32Forget about friendship.
09:34Forget about the shield.
09:35You throw that all out the window.
09:36And remember, they both already had matches earlier tonight.
09:39Fatigue setting in.
09:40Which one of these men wants it more?
09:43What a residual effect of this entire tournament.
09:47These guys have been in battle after battle to get to this point.
09:50Yeah, cuz it was sudden death the whole way.
09:52Pressure situation.
09:53Went for the spear.
09:54Ambrose caught him.
09:57And now Dean Ambrose gonna get the shoulder.
09:59The bad shoulder into the post.
10:01Ambrose gonna win the championship and a kick out at two.
10:03Wow.
10:04Twice, Dean Ambrose will win.
10:06Dirty Deans, Ambrose, for the title.
10:09The Lunatic is gonna walk out of here.
10:11Roman Reigns kicks out at two.
10:13Ambrose knew it.
10:14He knew that was his moment, Reigns kicked out.
10:18Man, man.
10:21Dean Ambrose able to avoid two match ending spears from Roman Reigns and
10:27then delivered that move of his own, still didn't get a ton.
10:30And Dirty Deans connected, Roman, though, stayed alive.
10:35One, two, three.
10:43Referee Charles Robinson now on a count of four.
10:47Five.
10:49Back and look at this, as you say, Dirty Deans.
10:53One, two, one.
10:54I was hoping it was gonna come down to this.
10:57Two guys literally beating the hell.
11:00Out of each other for a championship.
11:14This is that reality I was talking about.
11:19Let's get this done.
11:21They're throwing A backwards.
11:22Dean Ambrose said, come on, give me your best stuff.
11:29He right in the midsection.
11:31Ambrose over the knee of his own.
11:38These guys are hurting, they gotta be.
11:41Whoa.
11:42That's the corner, Dean.
11:43Dean takes the fight to Rome.
11:45Two.
11:46You'd expect anything less from the lunatic friends, Dean Ambrose.
11:49One of these guys is about to get the same title.
11:53Hell by Stone Cold, The Rock, Bruno Sammartino.
11:57One of these guys goes down in immortality tonight.
12:01Three.
12:04And the other one just goes down.
12:06There it is for the championship.
12:09He's the leg.
12:11Roman Reigns has done it.
12:12Roman Reigns is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
12:17He is your winner as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns.
12:25An incredible journey.
12:27So many obstacles and Roman Reigns has conquered them all.
12:31Reigns the true survivor tonight.
12:34He survives the tournament.
12:35He wins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
12:40And in the end for Roman Reigns, it's all worth it.
12:45I disagree with the method that Roman Reigns chose, but I admire what he's done.
12:52Phenomenal performance this entire tournament.
12:55Roman Reigns, congratulations.
12:57How can you disagree with success?
12:59Biggest moment in this young man's life.
13:02Yeah, look at the emotion pouring out of Roman Reigns.
13:05He finally did it.
13:06The proud heritage of his family.
13:09Roman Reigns has talked a lot about that over the past number of months.
13:16Walking in the footsteps of the all-time greats.
13:20Wanting to become one of them.
13:22Wanting to live up to that reputation.
13:24And that's what Roman Reigns has done tonight.
13:27Let's go back and look at this as Dean Ambrose gets smeared right out of his boots.
13:34The guy speaking to Dean Ambrose, nothing to be ashamed of.
13:38What a fight that young man put up.
13:40Oh, Ambrose had an incredible tournament.
13:48But for Roman Reigns, Big Show, Cesaro, Del Rio, Ambrose, all fall on Reigns' climb to the top.
14:00Roman Reigns did it the hard way, but he did it his way.
14:06And just tremendous respect and admiration between these two young men.
14:12Brought up together here at WWE from their days at our developmental center down in Florida.
14:17And of course, up now to WWE coming aboard as members of the Shield.
14:22They suffered through Seth Rollins stabbing him in the back.
14:25But through it all, Ambrose and Reigns have stayed true to one another.
14:29And now Ambrose gives the ring to the celebration of Roman Reigns, his crowning champion.
14:37As WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
14:55What an incredible moment.
14:59Confetti everywhere.
15:03The emotion, the tears in the eyes of Reigns.
15:06It's the way it should be.
15:09Sometimes when you come so close, and you come so close, and you finally get to the summit.
15:16It becomes so special, and here comes congratulations.
15:23Special congratulations from the balls.
15:26Official congratulations from Triple H.
15:32Triple H, the head of the authority.
15:35A man who offered Roman Reigns a free pass into the finals.
15:38Roman Reigns telling him, I'm not gonna take your pass, gonna win it the hard way.
15:41I'm gonna earn it.
15:52You're right, JBL, congratulations.
15:56Triple H, what else can he do?
16:13He's got a ball, made a ball with Roman Reigns.
16:17That might be a mistake.
16:22Triple H comes out here, do what's best for
16:24Christmas.
16:26And a spear, a spear to Triple H.
16:29The definitive moment in the career of Roman Reigns has come today.
16:35And wait a minute, a blood kick, and Sheamus.
16:38Wait a minute, Sheamus is cashing in, he's cashing in.
16:40Sheamus is gonna cash in, Sheamus is gonna cash in.
16:43You gotta be kidding me.
16:45Ladies and gentlemen, Sheamus is cashing in his money in the cover.
16:50There's two, kick out, kick out by Reigns.
16:53Reigns is kicked out, Sheamus is cashed in.
16:56This match is now official.
16:58This is a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match.
17:04Sheamus versus Reigns, Reigns the new champion, kicked out of a broke kick.
17:10This is unbelievable.
17:12Reigns doesn't know where he is.
17:13Reigns has no idea where he is, trying to fight his way up.
17:19Here comes Reigns, kick in again, Sheamus cover.
17:24One, two, three, three, you gotta be kidding me.
17:26We gotta be champion, Sheamus is champion.
17:28Here is your winner, and the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus.
17:36Yeah.
17:37Are you kidding me?
17:38I told you Roman would regret it.
17:41Sheamus has held that contract since the 14th of June.
17:45The hell have we just witnessed?
17:48Roman Reigns finally reaches the summit and
17:52he got broke kicked right off the freaking mountain.
17:57Reigns speared Triple H and he turned around into a broke kick by Sheamus.
18:02And don't tell me.
18:04This is awful.
18:06This is awful.
18:09Sheamus is now a four time WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
18:17This is incredible.
18:20This is absolutely stunning.
18:2214,000 plus are stunned in Atlanta.
18:31One thing to win it, you better hold on to it.
18:41I know what you're thinking, JBL.
18:44This is a lesson in life, don't cross the balls.
18:48That's lesson number one.
18:52Roman Reigns should have took Triple H's offer.
19:02Roman made it to the top of the mountain only to be cut down by the Celtic Warrior.
19:07And broke kick right off of it.
19:10Let's go.
