00:00I have no idea if it will influence Chris Vaughan or the Labour Party, but I think it's already been
00:06a fairly transparent position.
00:08You know, we only produce 1% of the world's emissions, I keep hearing.
00:14Well, we're 0.3% of the world's population, and we include our fossil fuel exports.
00:18We're 4.5% of the world's emissions, and we're now, this court, this decision has made us responsible for
00:24those.
00:27So, it's kind of, I think it'll be interesting to hear what, you know, Chris Vaughan and Anthony Albanese have
00:35to say in response to this question.
00:38We know that there's good people in every sort of group, but we know that the system is corrupted as
00:47well by the fossil fuel donations to political parties and that sphere.
00:52Yeah, so, we know the battle's still, the war's still on, I suppose, yeah.
01:01You even had the Prime Minister the day before the High Court hearing weigh in and say that he hopes
01:08that Wendy and Tony aren't successful in the High Court.
01:12And then, when we were successful in the Court of Appeals, then the Christmas government tried to dismantle the legislation
01:21that we had won on straight up.
01:24So, yeah, there's still a lot of work to be done by everybody, and we hope this inspires more people
01:30to put their shoulder into the wheel.
01:34Well, we often hear about the economic benefits to the state and the country, and they're very real.
01:40But they finish the moment, the last mine closes.
01:43You know, the climate impacts of putting, the last two decisions, HVO and this one, will put 1.6 billion
01:49tonnes of CO2 in the atmosphere.
01:51That just doesn't affect the climate now.
01:53That affects the climate for the next hundreds or thousands of years, depending on how long it takes us to
01:57get it out of the atmosphere.
01:58The cheapest way to deal with climate change is not putting it into the atmosphere in the first place.
02:04So, that's just a ridiculous argument, I'm sorry.
