00:00What was that like for the Jets?
00:04I would say the only comparison I can think of
00:09is playing like a wing T team in high school
00:12that holds the ball the entire game.
00:13That goes on 19, 20 play drives, right?
00:16And they sit there at the line, because I've coached against them.
00:18They sit there at the line of scrimmage,
00:19they wait for the play clock to run down,
00:21and they get four yards.
00:22And they get four more yards.
00:24And guess what?
00:25They're going for it on every fourth down, too.
00:27And it's impossible to get off the field.
00:28But what it does, from a defensive perspective,
00:30one, it wears you down mentally, right?
00:32Wears you down mentally.
00:34Also, the physical beating you take up front
00:37in the defensive line at the linebackers.
00:38It just wears you down, especially,
00:40and I think this is the number,
00:41the Bears ran the ball 54 times.
00:44When have you seen that in a pro game?
00:45I can't remember seeing that number.
00:48I mean, that is complete control of the football game.
00:51And it wasn't these huge, explosive plays.
00:53I think Monunga had three rushes of 10 or more yards.
00:56It was just a downhill, grind up the defense.
00:59It was fun to watch.
01:00Cole Komet said that he was surprised
01:03at how much nickel personnel the Jets played
01:07while the Bears had two or sometimes three tight ends out there.
01:11And here's a quote from Komet.
01:13Maybe they were banged up.
01:14We just kept running right at them
01:16when they had small bodies out there.
01:18When you do that,
01:18I don't know how you're going to do against our team, unquote.
01:21Does that ring true from the game film?
01:23A hundred percent.
01:25And Ben Johnson, I think, you know,
01:27obviously, Cal Sheehan and Sean McVay are up there as well.
01:29But it's hard to find a coach right now
01:32that uses tight ends more creatively
01:33than Ben Johnson in the run game.
01:36Whether it's fast motion, whether it's shifting,
01:39it's getting numbers to the point of attack,
01:41it's inserting the tight ends.
01:42It is creating numbers at the point of attack consistently.
01:45And when you have a slot corner on the field,
01:47that is a problem.
01:49That is a major problem from the size advantage.
01:51And it gives you matchups consistently in the run game.
01:53That's what they did over and over.
