The Commanders defensive line was just okay in week four. If Washington hopes to start stringing together wins, the entire defense needs to be better.

00:00these are your bmf grades because pff grades are stupid um defensively you end up giving up 30
00:06in this thing but damn it looked good early yeah um you want to start with the d line
00:12you want to start on the back end i'll grade your rush defense uh i'll give it a c on
00:17rush defense
00:18you held jonathan taylor to four yards per carry in the first half which is kind of a win
00:22overall though when it was all said and done 20 touch 20 totes 95 yards two touchdowns that's
00:28not great but then again jonathan taylor is one of the top five backs in the league so there is
00:34that
00:34i think they got worn down at the end um pain had a nice pop on one of the runs
00:40so that was good
00:42um injuries were a factor as well i'll give it a c rush defense c yeah i mean
00:50i thought for taylor the hole started to get really big in the second half i think you had
00:57a defense that got worn down okay and you had a defense that a little bit of demoralized frankly
01:04fair enough if you look at washington's last four possessions offensively it went punt punt downs downs
01:12so like the defense wasn't getting a lot of help um but specific to the rush defense i think through
01:19four games you can almost point to the rush defense as the thing this team is doing best that was
01:25one of
01:25the best overall units going into this game
