The second half defense the Washington Commanders played against Jameis Winston was absolutely terrible.
Transcript
00:00I don't want this to get lost.
00:02This team led Jameis Wentz to go 33 of 54 for 330 and three touchdowns.
00:09At halftime, he was 7 of 16.
00:13He lit them up in the second half.
00:15In the second half, they got more passive
00:18and running a different defense against him,
00:20and things were open, and he can do you that.
00:23But when they were putting pressure on him,
00:25I saw him throwing with his right foot up front.
00:27He was doing jump throws, all kinds of stuff.
00:30I just think we have to – the way our defense plays,
00:34you have to always be semi-aggressive.
00:36You cannot go back into a passive moment.
00:38We leave a lot of spaces wide open when we go to a passive mindset.
00:42And not for nothing, when we talk about situational football
00:46and understanding clock management and all this,
00:49Javon Kinlaw goes down as the Giants are driving down in the two-minute.
00:53He is, my guess, completely unaware that to go down
00:56and get the clock to stop there costs them a timeout
00:59because he's then able to get up and kind of just walk over to the sideline.
01:02Like, your guys have to know these little things
01:05that don't cost you timeouts in those scenarios.
01:07You can't stop there anymore.
01:07There you are.
01:07So, let's start with the hoje.
