00:45Vice President Sara Duterte denies the allegations of former policeman Rodolfo Gracioso Jr.
00:51that she received millions of pesos stuffed in suitcases and cars.
00:54Sa tingin ko naman, walang galit si Gracioso sa akin. Motivated by money siya.
01:01In his 8-page affidavit, Gracioso alleged that he delivered millions of pesos to the Vice President when she was
01:06still the mayor of Davao City.
01:08He alleged that the money came from Duterte ally former House Speaker Lord Alan Velasco.
01:13Gracioso also claimed former Davao City information Jeffrey Tupas allegedly received the money on Duterte's behalf.
01:20Tupas denied the claims.
01:22During the presser, Duterte shared screenshots of her recent conversation with Velasco, who confirmed that Gracioso used to work for
01:29him as security detail.
01:30She presents photos with her family with time codes to dispute the dates mentioned by Gracioso in his affidavit.
01:37Duterte also says she should not be caught in the middle of the conflict between Velasco and his former security
01:42detail.
01:42Hindi dapat gamitin ang aking pangalan sa paghihiganti sa mga kasinungalingan at pagpapalakas ng walang ebidensya na impeachment complaint at
01:55sa paninira sa politika.
01:57Duterte also claims the Marcos administration is behind the allegations against her in the Gracioso affidavit.
02:03Sino ang nasa likod ng paninira sa akin? Administrasyon. Ang palasyo. Si BBM. Makikita nyo naman yung mga declarations, mga
02:13statements ng Office of the President eh. Diba?
02:18The prosecution claims Vice President Sara Duterte and husband Man Scarpio had combined year-end bank balances totaling P190 million
02:27from 2022 to 2025.
02:30But these were not declared in the Vice President's Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth, or SAL-N.
02:36This as the prosecutors present six common offers of evidence for 13 bank witnesses who were called to identify and
02:43authenticate the couple's bank records.
02:45Private prosecutor James Bryan Ibrahim Ali says bank records show Duterte and Carpio maintained 30 active bank accounts across eight
02:53banks.
02:53These had combined year-end balances of more than P59 million in 2022, over P71 million in 2023, over P22
03:02million in 2024, and over P35 million in 2025.
03:07When taken together across the years 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, the Vice President and her husband, Attoni Carpio's bank
03:19accounts, have a total ending balance of more than P190 million that are not declared in her SAL-N.
03:31Sen. Risa Ontiveros reveals Cali 88 Food Corporation linked to Vice President Sara Duterte and her husband received significant remittances
03:40from Chinese state-owned firms.
03:42This as disclosed in an investigation by her office.
03:45Among them are China National Township Enterprises, or CNTE, which Ontiveros says operates under the supervision of the State-Owned
03:53Asset Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, or SASAC.
03:59SASAC is a ministerial-level institution under China's State Council that oversees non-financial state-owned enterprises.
04:06Ontiveros says CNTE was previously under China's Ministry of Agriculture before it came under SASAC.
04:14Ontiveros also identifies Beijing Zhenwei Fang Food Company, which she said also made remittances to Cali 88.
04:21Ontiveros further noted that the chairperson of Beijing Zhenwei Fang Food Company is allegedly a member of the district-level
04:27Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, or CPPCC.
04:31Ayon sa isang US Economic and Security Report, delegates to the CPPCC serve as proxies for Chinese Communist Party interests,
04:41and they frequently act as interlocutors with foreign government officials, businesses, and academic institutions.
04:49The disclosures came a day after AMLOC Executive Director Ronel Bonaventura told the impeachment court that Cali 88 received P319
04:57million from China and Hong Kong based on Covered Transaction Reports, or CTRs, and Suspicious Transaction Reports, or STRs.
05:06Inflation rose in September as bad weather pushed up food prices while higher fuel costs and a weaker peso added
05:13to price pressures.
05:14The Philippine Statistics Authority reports headline inflation climbed to 7.2% in September from 6.1% in August.
05:22It matches the three-year high of 7.2% recorded in April and ended four straight months of easing
05:29inflation.
05:29Average inflation from January to September was 5.4%, still above the government's 2% to 4% target range.
05:37The September rate is within the Banco Central ng Pilipinas' forecast range of 6.4% to 7.4%.
05:44Higher domestic petroleum prices and the pesos depreciation are also expected to add to inflation.
05:51The Department of Agriculture says the food supply is sufficient to tide over the effects of Super El Niño and
05:57that it has secured P45 billion in fertilizer assistance for farmers and fisherfolk.
06:02House lawmakers want a probe into the impact of Super El Niño on farmers, fisherfolk, and the government's preparations to
06:09protect the hardest-hit sectors.
06:11Agriculture Secretary Francisco Chula Rell Jr. says, quote-unquote, there's no reason to panic.
06:16But in general, I would just like to state that we are maintaining a healthy number of days of food
06:25sufficiency natin.
06:26Chula Rell gives a breakdown of the current supply as of Monday.
06:30Rice, 75 days.
06:31Chicken, 125 days.
06:33Pork, 170 days.
06:35Corn, 90 days.
06:36We will always have the last resort.
06:39We have the option to import kung sakaling kukulangin.
06:42So, ang importante, maluwag ang mga ports natin at may available supply at nakamonitor naman tayo.
06:48Billions of pesos are earmarked for the agriculture sector, with the DA now having 6.2 billion pesos out of
06:55their 45 billion peso fund request to provide fuel and fertilizer aid.
