05:59The first seafarer died in a July 6 attack while the second died on Sunday, July 19.
06:04Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Kakdak says nine ships carrying a total
06:09of 139 Filipino seafarers have recently been attacked primarily through drone strikes while
06:14transiting in Ukraine and Russia.
06:16One other Filipino seafarer is missing while 12 were injured.
06:20Kakdak pledges to assist the families and arrange for the repatriation of the seafarer's remains.
06:27Motorists face another increase in pump prices starting Tuesday, July 21.
06:32This as renewed fighting in the Middle East again pushes up global oil and refined fuel prices.
06:37Energy Secretary Sharon Garin announces the following fuel price adjustments for the week of July 21-27.
06:44Diesel will have an increase of 10 pesos and 68 centavos per liter,
06:48gasoline with an increase of 3 pesos and 65 centavos per liter,
06:52and kerosene with 11 pesos and 77 centavos per liter.
06:56Ahead of the official July 21 adjustment, DOE officials had warned of an extra-large increase
07:02with fuel prices potentially rising by more than 10 pesos per liter.
07:06The latest hike comes as the DOE moves back to stricter fuel pricing rules.
