A major controversy has erupted over the alleged modification of Form 6 ahead of elections, triggering a political confrontation between the opposition and the ruling party. The opposition alleges that changes were made illegally, demanding a rollback of the Special Intensive Revision exercise, while the ruling party maintains the form was never modified and points to unanimity among the three election commissioners. The Election Commission dismissed the allegations as misleading, citing a Supreme Court judgment that upheld the order and the declaration attached to Form 6. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has sought relevant records to examine the matter following pleas challenging the alleged alterations.
