Where does blood go after it finishes delivering oxygen and nutrients to your tissues?

It returns through an extensive venous network. Major veins from the head and upper limbs converge through the brachiocephalic veins into the superior vena cava, while blood from much of the lower body returns through the inferior vena cava. Both deliver venous blood to the right atrium of the heart.

In this Body Spectra 3D animation, follow the body's major venous highways and discover how blood makes its way back to the heart.
