The interior of the custom-built Mercedes‑AMG CLE 646 is also uncompromisingly focused on lightweight construction and driving dynamics. The rear seats and sound-insulating materials have been removed; comfort features have been eliminated, and the sound system has been scaled back to save weight. Removing drive programs and assistance systems also allowed for a reduction in the number of controls on the AMG Performance steering wheel. Featuring the signature flat-bottomed shape derived from motorsport, the steering wheel offers a secure grip thanks to its DINAMICA microfiber covering. The interior features ultra-light, high-end racing bucket seats with pronounced lateral support and a roll bar that increases the body's torsional rigidity, thereby further enhancing the driving dynamics of the custom Mercedes‑AMG CLE 646. Lightweight carbon-fiber door panels are also included. With the optional Performance Package, six-point harnesses securely hold the driver and front passenger in place.
