00:00Jay here. On tonight's edition of Beer on a Budget, we will be discussing
00:10Great Taste! Less Filling! Great Taste! Less Filling!
00:17Alright, shut up you two. That's why we're going to review it to find out.
00:21Tonight's beer review is going to be on Miller Lite, continuing our series on American Lite
00:26Lagers. If you missed our first series, which was Bud Light, I will have a link in the descriptions
00:32below. Anyway, Miller Lite, another Lite Lager, American beer. Got a 12-pack for $9.75 or something,
00:43so well under our budget beer. As you can see tonight, I have not two, but three cans. We will
00:50do our chugging experiment as we did with the Bud Light, but unfortunately Miller Lite
00:56put a little thing on the top of their can, I don't know if you can see it, right there,
01:02so you can poke a hole in the top of the can to make it easier to chug. Well, we're
01:08going
01:08to find out if that actually works. If you've all seen my chugging ability, maybe that will
01:13actually help. So anyway, let's get on with the review. Miller Lite says it's triple hop
01:20brewed. I have no idea what that means. I could assume three hop additions, like most beers have,
01:27but I don't know that for certain.
01:38Even sloshing it into the glass, the head doesn't form real well. Not much of one. It doesn't appear
01:48to be nearly as carbonated as the Bud Light was, and the head's actually somewhat retaining
01:54on there. Not terrifically, but better than the Bud Light did. You can smell a little bit
02:03of malt and a tiny bit of hops. There's something else in there, too. I'm going to guess it's
02:10the cidery flavor from the corn. So, see how bad it is.
02:22It's a little bit bitter, and it's crisp. A little more cidery than the Bud Light. It
02:29has a different flavor. I think there may be a little bit more hops in the Miller Lite,
02:36but not much. It's still very weak. Kind of watered down. Boring flavor.
02:47Yeah, definitely not a terrific brew by any means. Stretch the imagination.
02:54Here again, I'll provide a clone recipe. It'll be right over here. And I'll put it in the
03:00descriptions, too. Again, I'm not going to recommend you clone it, because their water
03:06is going to make a huge difference in the flavor of this beer. There's so little other
03:10things for the flavors to play on, that water is going to make a major difference. So, anyway,
03:18let's find out if Miller Lite is chug-able.
03:28Cheers!
03:51You've got to be kidding me. You suck more than we do. You can't even chug a beer.
03:58Excuse me.
04:02There's a lot of carbonation in there. And just like the Bud Light, it tastes far worse
04:08pounding it than it does drinking it easy. It's rather, um, better. Just better is the only
04:21word I have for it with a really nasty aftertaste. Um, that being said, I'm going to cut here for
04:27a few minutes before I try to do that one with a hole in the lid. I've got to let
04:33my stomach
04:33settle down. It's just aren't that good of beers.
04:38I, uh, forgot to mention, um, I ended up getting down about just as much of the, um, Miller Lite
04:45as I did the Bud Light. Probably about, uh, 8 to 10 ounces somewhere in there. I felt like,
04:50uh, about a quarter of a can left, give or take a little bit. But anyway, see if this helps
04:56me chug, there is a little thing on the top there, we already showed it to you, that you
05:01open up that, I guess it's more like shotgun in a beer, but it's kind of designed for it.
05:06Um, the only thing is there's no instructions. I don't know if you're supposed to punch it
05:09first and then open a can or open the can and then punch it first. So I'm going to try
05:14punching it first because that's what you'd do if you were shotgun in a beer.
05:23I wish you could see the mess. You should open it first. Anyway, cheers again.
05:34Cheers again.
05:39Cheers.
05:41Cheers.
05:43Cheers.
05:44Cheers.
05:45Cheers.
05:45Cheers.
05:46Cheers.
05:51Cheers.
05:52Cheers.
05:53Sorry about that.
05:53It does make it chugging easier.
05:56I got the whole can down that time.
05:58So apparently Miller Lite is on to something.
06:01And, uh, with that little addition on your can, I would say so far Miller Lite is chuggable.
06:09Um, and it, the nasty taste wasn't there, um, nearly as much either. I'm, I'm actually a little
06:15surprised by that. So, um, props for a little hole in the lid. Um, good idea anyway. Market
06:23it. Um, that being said, have a good night. If you want another beer in this, uh, series
06:30of, uh, three or four or five beers, um, for the final taste test, make sure you leave
06:35your comments in the comments section below. And, uh, have a wonderful night.
06:48Anyway, find out if the little hole in the top of the can helps. I'm guessing you open
06:55it first and then punch the hole. My car key right here. Maybe you punch the hole first.
07:04Ah, there we go. Seems like a hard way to do things.
07:11That's my dog. She's an asshole. Cause now I gotta redo this can. And I wasted a beer because
07:20of my asshole dog.
07:20Uh, go.
07:23Issyl'n lokaler.
07:23Ah, this is Minecq Nis kok.
