Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, arrived in Malaysia on Friday (Oct 2) for a special visit in conjunction with the Formula One (F1) Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC).

00:26He was welcomed by Tunku Temenggong Johor Tunku Idris Iskandar al-Haj Sultan Ibrahim,

00:37and Tunku Putra Johor Tunku Abu Bakar al-Haj Sultan Ibrahim.
00:42Prince Salman then walked past a guard of honour comprising 28 officers and personnel
00:47from the 1st Battalion Royal Ranger Regiment.
00:50The Sepang International Circuit was selected as the temporary venue
00:55for the 2026 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, which runs from October 2nd to 4th.
01:02In July, Formula One confirmed Malaysia as the host following an agreement involving Formula One,
01:09the Federation International de l'Automobile, or FIA, and the governments of Malaysia and Bahrain.
01:15The agreement allowed the Bahrain Grand Prix to remain on the 2026 F1 calendar
01:21after the race was cancelled earlier this season due to geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
