Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived in Bahrain early Wednesday (Feb 19) morning for an official visit Bahrain under the invitation of Bahrain's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman Hamad Al Khalifa.

00:15The aircraft carrying the Prime Minister landed at Bahrain International Airport at 12.45
00:20am, 5.45 am Malaysian time.
00:24Anwar, accompanied by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Religious Affairs,
00:29Dr Zulkifli Hassan and senior government officers, was then greeted with a static
00:34guard of honour as a gesture of Bahrain's warm welcome.
00:38During the visit, Anwar is set to hold a courtesy meeting with Crown Prince Salman and have
00:43an audience with Bahrain's King, Raja Hamad Isa Al Khalifa, a high honour for Malaysia
00:49that reflects the strong bilateral ties between the two nations.
00:53Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, will also meet his Bahraini counterpart, Shaikh
00:58Salman Khalifa Al Khalifa, and pay a visit to the Bahrain Economic Development Board
01:04to explore economic cooperation opportunities between Malaysia and Bahrain.
01:09Anwar is also expected to meet with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al Sharif Professor, Dr Ahmed
01:15Al Tayyeb, besides engaging with the Malaysian diaspora at an event in Bahrain.
