00:02The West Indies won the women's ODI series against Zimbabwe by a 2-1 margin
00:07with all matches being held in Harare.
00:10With World Cup qualification points at stake for the 2029 tournament,
00:13all-rounder Aliyah Alain said the ladies in Maroon were aiming for a clean sweep at the start.
00:18As I said, we were a bit disappointed because when we came here,
00:22we talked about collecting all six points.
00:27I think that's how cricket goes, we just reflect and we came back harder
00:31and I think that just shows the character of this team
00:33and I think we are just looking to move on from here
00:37and looking to tally which will be Pakistan where we will be playing next day
00:41and looking to grab all six points.
00:43The teams next play a three-match T20 series also in Zimbabwe's capital.
00:48Even though the Windies are without a key player, Alain and company are ready for the challenge.
00:52The goal is to win every game we go there and play.
00:56And I think it's going to be a good challenge for us.
00:59They have, Hayden Mafia is not going to play this T20 series
01:03so I think it's an opportunity for our youngsters and myself
01:06to have that opportunity and go there and express ourselves.
01:11This was the first meeting between the two sides in international cricket.
01:14And what does Alain think about the African country?
01:18Yeah lovely, it's similar weather to the West Indies so that was a plus for us.
01:24Maybe not today a bit chilly but I think all in all it's a good experience being here in Zimbabwe
01:31and our hospitality has been really great.
01:34The three T20 matches take place on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday.
01:39Vinod.
01:39Now I need to export it very well as it down the ground straight.
01:43That'll be a boundary.
01:44It gained a little bit of width on the off.
