World's tallest wind turbine in Germany reaches full height

A wind turbine in Schipkau, in eastern Germany, has reached its full height of 365 meters (1,197 feet), making it the world's tallest, according to the Gicon, the company that built it. "We feel pride, gratitude and a sense of accomplishment that we've succeeded," says Jochen Grossmann, founder of Gicon. This construction now is the second-highest structure in Germany, just three meters shorter than Berlin's TV Tower. The turbine should be put into operation in November.
