00:14The incident, which has since gone viral, began when police tried to stop the lorry
00:19after it was spotted in the Tanjung Langsat industrial area.
00:23The vehicle was believed to have been stolen in Plentong.
00:26Instead of stopping, the suspect, a local man in his 30s, sped away, triggering a pursuit.
00:34He allegedly drove recklessly during the chase and rammed a police patrol vehicle before eventually being arrested.
00:41Serialam OCPD Assistant Commissioner Mohamed Sohaimi Ishaq said police found a transparent packet
00:48containing a substance believed to be drugs on the suspect.
00:51A urine screening test later returned positive for methamphetamine.
00:55The suspect is being investigated under several provisions, including Section 379A of the Penal Code for Lorry Theft,
01:04Section 186 for Obstructing a Public Servant, and Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for Reckless and Dangerous
01:14Driving.
01:15He is also being investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
01:20Police have advised the public against speculation and urged them not to circulate unverified information about the case.
