Police have arrested four suspects and seized drugs worth about RM4.4 million in three separate operations across Penang between Sept 21 and 27.

The drugs seized include heroin, crystal methamphetamine, MDMA, ecstasy and Erimin 5 pills, and ketamine.

00:02Police have arrested four suspects and seized drugs worth about 4.4 million ringgit in three separate operations across Penang.
00:11State Police Chief Commissioner Datuk Dennis Lin Kuang Keng said the first case involved a 47-year-old local man
00:18arrested near Jalan Masjid Negeri at about 3.30pm on September 21.
00:24The suspect was seen carrying a package to a vehicle parked at a premise suspected to be used for storing
00:31drugs and drug processing equipment.
00:33Police seized 8.83 kilograms of heroin and 5.35 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, worth an estimated RM443,518.
00:45In the second case, a local man and his foreign female partner, aged between 27 and 42, were arrested in
00:54Sungai Nibong at about 8.50pm on September 22 over alleged involvement in drug trafficking.
01:01Two raids around Jalan Tun Dr Awang and Sungai Nibong Kecil led to the seizure of 3.26 kilograms of
01:09MDMA powder and 5 litres of liquid MDMA, worth an estimated RM2.2 million ringgit.
01:16In the third case, a 45-year-old local man was detained near Jalan Seladang in Bukit Mertajam at about
01:2311.30pm on September 27.
01:26Police seized 11.8 kilograms of MDMA powder, 182 ecstasy and arimine 5 pills, and 70 grams of ketamine, worth
01:37an estimated RM1.8 million ringgit.
01:40Commissioner Dennis said urine screening found all four suspects negative for drugs, while checks revealed one suspect had a prior
01:48criminal and narcotics record.
01:50Initial investigations indicate all four suspects had been active in drug trafficking around Penang since July.
01:57Police also seized six vehicles under the Dangerous Drugs Forfeiture of Property Act.
