Heracles didn’t defeat Death with a divine weapon—he wrestled him with his bare hands.
After Alcestis sacrificed her life for her husband, Heracles confronted Thanatos beside her grave and refused to release him until Death surrendered her. Then he brought Alcestis home alive.
Of all Heracles’ legendary feats, wrestling Death himself might be one of his most incredible.
