Ragnarök wasn’t just the death of Odin or the final battles of the gods. Freyr fell to Surtr. Tyr and Garm killed each other. Fenrir devoured Odin before Vidar avenged him. Then Surtr’s fire consumed the world. The end of Norse mythology had a body count far greater than the famous deaths most people remember.
