00:00Former Everton and Newcastle fans will have been watching England defeat Czechia 2-0
00:06with a mixture of glee and disappointment after Anthony Gordon stood out as one of the best players on the
00:14pitch.
00:15Here's what Thomas Tuchel said about Gordon's performance
00:18and whether or not the attacker is now one of the first names on the team sheet.
00:25Hi Thomas.
00:27Hi.
00:28Anthony Gordon has been playing so well since the knockout stages in the World Cup.
00:35It feels like the fans are really starting to appreciate him.
00:38They're singing his name pretty much every game.
00:40Has he become one of the first names on the team sheet for you now?
00:44Well, he's getting there.
00:46He's defending his shirt.
00:47He's defending his position and he had an excellent performance again.
00:51He had a very good performance against Spain.
00:53He was very decisive today, he had an excellent goal, which was very, very difficult, but the technique in finishing
01:01was excellent.
01:03He scored against Spain, so he has these decisive actions.
01:07He's full of confidence and, yeah, he's defending his shirt, he's defending his position.
01:11Overall, I think we had a good and professional performance.
01:16Overall, of course, the red card, like always, an early red card is such a heavy influence in the game.
01:24It makes the task sometimes a little bit more complicated.
01:28So, yeah, he's respected.
