00:02Rugby fans, get ready. Something big is coming to London.
00:05The Nations Championship brings the best of the Northern Hemisphere
00:09against the best of the Southern Hemisphere.
00:12After three weekends of incredible rugby at the start of November,
00:16it all comes down to this, the finals weekend.
00:2012 teams, 6 matches, 3 days and 2 hemispheres.
00:25One unforgettable weekend in London at the Allianz Stadium.
00:29The Rugby Union's Nations Championship is a new international tournament
00:34which began this year in 2026.
00:38It brings together 12 major national teams from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
00:44The final match will be taking place in late November
00:48in London at the Allianz Twickenham Stadium
00:51between the two top-ranked teams
00:54which determines the Nations Championship champion.
00:59I mean, for England, they are playing at home.
01:01It's in their own stadium. I think it's going to be electric there.
01:04It's going to be full of English people, English fans.
01:06But the thing is with rugby, you know, the fans are very, very respectful.
01:10And as much as they want their team to win and they sing
01:13and they're really patriotic, they are very respectful to the opposition.
01:16And I think that's really all about what rugby is about, bringing people together.
01:21It's about unity. Even though we're fighting, we fight together.
01:24The beauty of the Nations Championship and the Hemisphere Shield is that it's bringing the whole world together.
01:29You know, it's north and south. And that's the beauty of rugby because it's about unity.
01:34I think the England side are in a good place. They've got very good players.
01:39I mean, thinking about Pollock, you know, he's matured a lot. He plays very well.
01:42The England team are full of great players. They're in a very good place.
01:46And, you know, they are going to be very competitive.
01:48I love the new Nations Championships and the Hemisphere Trophy.
01:51I think it's going to help to frame rugby in the mind of rugby fans around the world.
01:56And I really like the way it's been divided into two hemispheres.
01:59I think this is a genius move.
02:01I love rugby because, you know, as I was saying to you before, it's war on the pitch.
02:05You know, it's raw. It takes a lot of courage, lots of determination.
02:10You've got to be so physical, but you've got to be smart.
02:12And I think it calls upon so many human qualities.
02:15And it's beautiful when you see your country playing well.
02:18And even more so when they are the underdog and they are under the cosh,
02:23but they still manage to get through or even lose, but they lose with dignity.
02:26I was so lucky during the Olympics. I was reporting on sports.
02:30And I was actually at the stadium when France played in the final for the Rugby Seven.
02:35And Dupont just did this extraordinary game. It was just fantastic.
02:38And the French were on fire. The French supporters.
02:41There is nothing like them.
02:43I'm really hoping France is going to make it to the final.
02:45I have no idea who they're going to play in the final.
02:48I mean, first of all, they've got to get through South Africa.
02:50It's going to be a tough ask. Anything could happen.
02:53The thing is, if the French are a little bit emotional getting on the pitch,
02:55it could be game over before we even start. Let's see.
