00:00A tiny baby elephant is sinking in deep mud, waving his little trunk in the air.
00:04He cannot climb out. Will anybody hear his cry in time? It all began on a golden morning on the
00:10warm savannah. Little Momo the elephant calf toddled happily beside his mama, while butterflies
00:16danced over the sparkling waterhole. Then Momo spotted the brightest blue butterfly he had ever
00:22seen. Off he trotted, flapping his big ears, chasing it toward the squishy, muddy bank.
00:28But suddenly, slip, slide, splash! Momo tumbled straight into the deep, sticky mud,
00:33and it held his little legs tighter and tighter. Momo pushed and wiggled with all his might,
00:39but he only sank deeper. Mama trumpeted loud and worried at the edge, but the mud was too
00:45dangerous for her too. High in her watchtower, kind young ranger Zara heard that worried trumpet.
00:51A baby in trouble! She grabbed her soft rope and planks and called her helpers.
00:56Zara raced across the golden grass in her little jeep, bouncing over the bumps, while mama elephant
01:02pointed her trunk toward the mud pit to show the way. At the pit, Zara gently lay wooden planks across
01:08the mud to make a safe path, moving slow and quiet, so little Momo would not be frightened.
01:15Then Zara slid a soft, wide rope under Momo's belly, like a cozy hammock, and looped the other end
01:21safely around a strong tree. Now everybody pulled together, Zara and her helpers on the rope,
01:27and mama pushing gently from behind, slowly, slowly, pop! Momo slid free from the sticky mud.
01:34Mama wrapped her big, warm trunk around her baby in the happiest elephant hug,
01:38and Momo nuzzled her cheek, safe and sound at last. Then the helpers gave Momo a bubbly mud wash with
01:45buckets of cool water, and the cheeky little calf sprayed a shower of droplets over everyone,
01:51making them all laugh. At sunset, the whole herd walked home together under a pink and golden sky,
01:56with little Momo trotting proudly between his mama's legs, the bravest baby on the savannah.
02:02The end.
02:04The end.
