00:13at the edge of the world. Pippa the penguin chick was waddling happily beside her mama
00:19while snowflakes twirled down like glitter. Then, Pippa spotted shiny silver fish leaping
00:26out of the sea below the ice shelf. She just had to get a closer look. Waddle, waddle, waddle.
00:32She hurried to the very edge, giggling with excitement. But suddenly, crack! The thin ice
00:38edge snapped beneath her tiny feet, and splash! Pippa tumbled straight into the icy cold water.
00:45Pippa flapped her little flippers as hard as she could, but the ice wall was too smooth and slippery
00:51to climb. She was freezing. She was frightened. And she cried out with all her might.

01:01High above on the rocky cliff, kind old lighthouse keeper Bram was polishing his big brass telescope.
01:07He stopped, squinted, and spotted a tiny splashing shape far below.
01:12A baby in trouble? Bram cried. He grabbed his warmest scarf, jumped into his little red rowboat,
01:19and rowed as fast as his old arms could carry him, dodging the bobbing chunks of ice.
01:24At last, he reached her. Very gently, Bram scooped little Pippa out of the water with a big soft net
01:32and wrapped her snugly in his warm, woolly scarf. Pippa sneezed a tiny, grateful sneeze.
01:39Then Bram tucked Pippa safely inside his coat and climbed the snowy cliff path, step by careful step,
01:45while seagulls cheered them on from the sky. At the top, Mama Penguin was waiting,
01:51flapping her wings with worry. When she saw Pippa, she rushed forward,
01:55and Mother and Baby hugged in the warmest, happiest reunion.
01:59Back at the cozy lighthouse, Bram gave Pippa a warm drink of hot fish soup,
02:04and all the penguins slid down the snowy hill together, laughing and cheering.
02:10At sunset, Pippa waved goodbye with her little flipper, snuggled safe beside her Mama,
02:15while Bram's lighthouse beams swept warmly across the sea. And from that day on,
02:21Pippa always stayed far from the crumbly ice edge. But she never forgot the kind old keeper
02:26with the red boat who saved her life.
