September is coming to an end, but the weather across several parts of the country has suddenly taken a turn before the monsoon’s withdrawal. The IMD has issued a warning for heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds across 22 states on September 30. From Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana to Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir, several regions are likely to witness severe weather conditions. Meanwhile, rain and strong winds are also expected to continue across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. Winds may reach speeds of 60 to 70 kmph in several areas, while the risk of landslides could increase in hilly regions.
