01:05At the base of Mount Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture, lies a 35 square kilometer forest where compasses are said to
01:13become useless.
01:14The ground here consists of hard volcanic rock formed from the volcano's eruption in 864.
01:21And because of this, it is said that it can affect some equipment that uses magnetic mechanisms.
01:27Those who enter without leaving a clear trail of their path may struggle to find their way out.
01:34The Japanese call this place Yukai.
01:39The description of this place as a sea of trees is true.
01:43The vegetation is so dense that very little sunlight reaches the ground.
01:48Few animals can be seen here and, above all, there is little wind in some parts of the forest.
01:56Aokigahara has become known as one of the places in Japan with a high number of suicides.

02:43In the Venetian Lagoon, just a few minutes by boat from the historic center of Venice,
02:49lies a small island that remains closed to the public.
02:52There is no clear official explanation as to why the island remains closed.
02:58Some Venetians call it the island of no return,
03:01and when visitors ask about it, many locals prefer not to talk about it.
03:07The story of Pobilia has several parts, and all of them share a dark history.
03:14During the outbreaks of the bubonic plague,
03:17ships arriving in Venice with sick passengers were diverted directly to the island.
03:21That was where the infected were isolated, along with other sick people,
03:27and thousands of corpses ended up in mass graves.
03:30The bodies that couldn't be buried were burned in massive pyres.
03:35It's estimated that the island's soil contains a vast amount of accumulated human ash.
03:40Because of this, the farmers who attempted to work the land in the last century
03:45ended up leaving without any clear explanation.
03:48But the story doesn't end there.
03:51In 1922, the Italian government built a psychiatric hospital on the island.
03:57According to local stories, the head doctor began to see apparitions among the patients.
04:03He lost his sanity and died after falling from the bell tower.
04:07The bell in that tower was removed decades ago.
04:10Yet, according to explorers who entered illegally,
04:14they say they can still hear it ringing.
04:17Stanley Hotel
04:18United States, in October 1974,
04:22Stephen King and his wife arrived at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado.
04:27It was the last day of the season.
04:30The next day, the hotel would close for the winter,
04:33and they were the only guests.
04:36That night, King slept in room 217 and dreamed that his young son was being chased through the hotel's long
04:43hallways.
04:44When he woke up, the novel had already formed in his mind.
04:49He called it The Shiny.
04:52What King didn't share in interviews for many years was what allegedly happened to his wife that night as well.
05:01According to her own accounts,
05:03she heard voices in the hallways,
05:05saw shadows with no clear source,
05:08and felt what seemed to be a presence that wouldn't leave the room.
05:13That wasn't the first time there were reports like that at the Stanley.
05:18The hotel was built in 1990 by Freeland Oscar Stanley,
05:22an inventor who wanted to attract wealthy people from the eastern part of the United States
05:27to the mountains of Colorado.
05:31Ever since its early years,
05:33guests began reporting strange occurrences.
05:36Today, room 217 is one of the most sought-after rooms in the hotel.
05:42There is a waiting list for those who want to spend the night there.

05:55In the heart of Buenos Aires,
05:57there is a cemetery that doesn't look like an ordinary cemetery.
06:01It's like a small city with well-kept streets,
06:04tombs the size of rooms,
06:05and marble statues looking down from the cemetery's high vantage points.
06:10Here lie buried presidents,
06:13admirals,
06:14aristocrats,
06:14and according to Buenos Aires tradition,
06:17a few souls who chose to stay behind.
06:20More stories have been recorded about Rufina Cambaceres than anyone else.
06:24In 1902,
06:26she died at the age of 19
06:28on the very day of her birthday.
06:31According to the doctors,
06:32cardiac arrest was the cause of her death.
06:35The next day, she was buried.
06:36A few days later,
06:39when the coffin was opened for a routine inspection,
06:42scratch marks were found inside the lid.
06:44According to the story,
06:46Rufina woke up inside the coffin.
06:50Her mother commissioned a statue
06:52showing Rufina holding the handle of the tomb door
06:54as if she were trying to get out.
06:58There is another story about David Aleno,
07:01an Italian caretaker who worked at the cemetery for 30 years.
07:06He saved every cent of his wages just to buy his own tomb.
07:11He had a statue of himself made,
07:14holding a broom and a bucket.
07:16He placed it inside his tomb,
07:18and that same year,
07:20at the age of 25,
07:22he died after drinking poison.

07:26they hear sounds like someone is cleaning
07:28whenever the cemetery is closed.
07:31Fairmont Banff Springs Castle, Canada.
07:34In the Canadian Rockies,
07:35at an altitude of approximately 1,400 meters
07:39and surrounded by forests and snow-capped peaks,
07:42stands a building that looks as if it came from.
07:45Fairmont Banff Springs was opened in 1880
07:48It was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway Company
07:52and declared a National Historic Site of Canada.
07:56From the outside,
07:57it looks like a Scottish castle.
07:59But inside,
08:01there are two stories
08:02that even the hotel no longer denies.
08:05The first one is about a bride.
08:07On her wedding day,
