00:00From the time I was 13 or 14, I wonder sometimes if it was provoked by an experience I had
00:09in Neath, in Caddickson Lodge. When I got on the landing of the first floor, I started
00:16taking photographs with my camera, and suddenly there was footsteps on the stairwell behind
00:21me. Somebody or something was climbing the stairs. I looked around, there was no one
00:25there. But even as I looked around, the tread kept on going, the steps kept on coming. With
00:32that, I turned and panicked and ran.
00:36Boo. I'm here in Margam Castle, in one of the rooms that people have claimed to see
00:41ghosts in the past. I'm feeling relatively okay here in the daytime, but I certainly
00:46wouldn't want to be here at night.
00:48When they were kipping down for the night, and suddenly in amongst them all, a light
00:55appeared. A white light. And it grew and grew, and they became both fascinated and terrified.
01:02And the light materialised into a grey-haired lady in grey clothes. They may have been bed
01:08clothes, I don't know, and she was taking exception to men in her bedroom, who knows?
01:13When it spoke to them and said, were you in my room? This room? They panicked and ran
01:18out and they didn't come back here.
01:21Robert's been in the industry for decades. He's done ghost tours, written books, done
01:25talks on the subject, and he says you've got to remember that the ghosts out there are
01:29just as scared of you as you are of them. So if you keep your distance, maybe you'll
01:34get a chance to see one.
01:36The times that I've ever had plucked up the courage to say to a spooky thing that's appeared
01:41in front of me, who are you, what have you done? That is the problem. They don't want
01:45to communicate with us more than many of us don't want to communicate with them. But the
01:49one thing is true, I am sincere in what I do and I believe what people tell me stories
01:55and I will recognise a liar. That's ghost hunting.
