00:23Remember the ABVP won three of the four Doosu seats whereas the Congress Party, Congress Student Wing NSUI won zero
00:32seats and it is also important to note that the one seat of the vice president was won by an
00:38independent candidate for the first time who was Dipanshu Shaukeen and it is even more important to note that Dipanshu
00:44Shaukeen was an NSUI rebel.
00:46He was denied a ticket by the NSUI and then he made history, he got the most number of votes
00:53and he was the first independent candidate to win a seat and the rest of the three seats were won
00:58by ABVP.
00:59There was a big controversy over the NSUI ticket distribution, there were allegations which were made on the leadership of
01:05the NSUI, be it Kanaiya Kumar who is the in charge, be it the NSUI President Vinod Jakar
01:13and now Rahul Gandhi himself will be meeting them today.

01:21What all can be expected, is Rahul Gandhi also going to discuss whatever happened with the ticket distribution because there
01:28was a big controversy over NSUI's ticket distribution?
01:33Well, you know, ever since the Congress was completely, you know, battered during, due to elections, we were informed from
01:40our sources that Rahul Gandhi was feeling disappointed with the performance and in fact has sought, you know, a decent
01:47report into the visa.
01:54All right, we'll try to fix that connection with Rahul Gautam but the big update that is coming right now
02:00is that after NSUI's, NSUI losing the DUSU battle, now Rahul Gandhi will be holding an introspection meeting with the
02:08NSUI President Vinod Chakar
02:10and also the in charge of NSUI Kanhaiya Kumar. Remember, the NSUI failed to win even a single seat in
02:18the Delhi University Students Union election this year.
02:21Three of the four seats were won by ABVP and one seat was won by an independent candidate who, by
02:27the way, was an NSUI rebel.
02:29The NSUI did not give him a ticket after which he decided to contest the elections independently.
02:34And not just won, but there were three rebels, three rebels from the NSUI who had contested this year's election
02:40and there was a big controversy that had erupted after the ticket distribution.
02:43There was many questions which were in fact being raised by the leaders within the Congress party.
02:51These questions were being asked to Kanhaiya Kumar, who is the in charge of NSUI to the Congress, to the
02:57NSUI President Vinod Chakar,
02:58that why were there three rebel candidates contesting the election, why was ticket denied to them.
03:04So, now Rahul Gandhi himself will be holding this meeting.
03:08Another angle to this is that this is being seen as the Gen Z not choosing Rahul Gandhi.
03:17Despite the Chhatroki Gunj rally that he has been holding, that did not resonate with the Delhi University Students
03:26and hence NSUI got no seats this time, which is a rare sight.

03:31Rahul, what all can be expected in today's meeting?
03:34You know, there was a big controversy over the ticket distribution.
03:37Many are saying that there was a rift within the NSUI that led to the big disaster of the ticket
03:43distribution
03:44and that eventually led to NSUI losing the DUSU battle.
03:51Well, the complete rout of NSUI during DUSU elections has come as a major setback
03:58as far as Rahul Gandhi's youth pitch is concerned and the Gen Z politics that he's been engaging for past
04:04few months.
04:06And therefore, you know, when the results came out of DUSU elections within Congress Party,
04:10the NSUI, which is the student body of Congress, didn't score any seat.
04:15We were told by our sources that Rahul Gandhi was extremely disappointed with the performance
04:20and in fact had sought a detailed report about reasons that actually led to this debacle.
04:25And therefore, as we speak, NSUI in charge, Mr. Vinod Jakar, Kananya Kumar, Vinod Jakar, who is the NUCI chief,
04:33Mr. Casey Benagopal, they all are meeting Rahul Gandhi and obviously looking into the reasons.
04:37As you also mentioned that there were, you know, there were reports that the NSUI candidate selection was not up
04:46to the mark
04:47and that actually led to two independent candidates coming into the fray that were already seeking a ticket from NSUI.
04:53And in fact, Dipanshu Shaukeen and Vishesh Yadav, both the candidates that actually dented the electoral prospects of NSUI
05:01were actually seeking a ticket from NSUI, but they didn't get one.
05:05And therefore, ultimately, they contested elections on their own, which obviously, you know, contributed to a complete route of NSUI.
05:14So therefore, and this has come as a major blow to the Gen Z politics and the youth pitch that
05:20Rahul Gandhi, Congress Party,
05:22has been trying to create a narrative, you know, through Chhattu Loki Goon, through, you know, through tweets and through
05:28interviews.
05:29And now, you know, what we are learning from our sources that Rahul Gandhi will be looking into all the
05:34reasons
05:34and expect that this time some heads might be rolling, given the fact that, expect that a clarification would be
05:43sought from NSUI in charge, Kaniya Kumar.
05:44And also, you know, there might be some action, you know, coming in against the office bearers,
05:53who were actually responsible for this complete and humiliating defeat that NSUI saw in the sudden elections.
06:00Indeed, it was a humiliating defeat for the NSUI. Rahul, do stay with us.
06:04Let's also listen in to what the NSUI President, Vinod Jhakar, had to say on the meeting with Rahul Gandhi.
06:34It is important that we have our friends, and we will go to campus, because this way,
06:42Sangh has the whole idea of the alleged perspective and the whole nation's institutions' political conviction.
06:47And the whole university has also been done with Delhi University.
06:49And that's why we are the non-local leaders of the university.
06:52And the professor, a lobby, a great lobby, including Vice Chancellor, administration, police officials,
