00:47a singles loss for Shoto Umino
00:49that you have to know has stuck somewhere in the mind of Claudio Castagnoli
00:53a match that ended a bad chapter for Umino
00:56in that Tokyo Dome season
00:58but in the meantime, Shingo Takagi on the other hand
01:01believes that a bad chapter was opened up
01:03by Claudio Castagnoli
01:05on AEW Collision two months ago
01:07and Takagi wants to close that book
01:10defamatory
01:11and do so here
01:12at Kobe World Hall
01:13AEW Death Riders
01:17196cm
01:19105kg
01:20Claudio Takeagnoli
01:25First time since 2025 for Claudio to be competing here in Japan
01:31first time since 2010
01:33for Claudio to be competing here in Kobe
01:36and opposite who
01:38for whom Kobe is his second home
01:42in Shingo Takagi
01:56for the final of the
02:01for a few years
02:03kasagi
02:22Coordio Sengori Ossion
02:24I don't know whether he would remember that one night in NOAH in 2010
02:28Alongside Delirious went down that line to Mohamed Yone and Ampel Yoshin
02:33obu Kanemaru
02:35Shingo Takagi about to wrestle his 217th match here in the city
02:4135-8-2 singles for Shingo Takagi and Kobe
02:45but the fact is what have you done for me lately in this business
02:49and well the answer his last title match this time last year a global heavyweight
02:55championship loss to Gabe Kidd his last championship win was the never title two
03:00years ago over Hinare and Shinko Takagi to get back into title contention
03:06he needs to put right what was a bad summer for the dragon and that means
03:10getting past the swiss fan here tonight
03:19Red Corner Unbound Company Rampage Dragon
03:25TAKAGI Shingo
03:33oh god
03:34well no Decorah from Claudio Castagnoli but what would you expect from a member of
03:39The Deathriders
03:40Shingo clocked him coming in and saw he was there and turned his back on him and
03:45That is the Deathriders
03:46where you take advantage of every advantage of Claudio going fast here
03:52watch the opposite of Shingo Takagi Claudio Castagnoli has found a single success as
03:57of recent
03:57a former CMLO heavyweight champion
04:00recently challenged all be it unsuccessfully against Echicero and Zack Saber Jr. the 93rd
04:05Anifasadio
04:06event in CMLO in action
04:09competed alongside Gabe Kidd just the other night on an AW Dynamite collision event
04:15Claudio and Gabe would fall to Speedball Mike Bailey and Will Ospreay of course we're
04:20going to be talking about
04:20Gabe Kidd later on in the night and Kasten Yulik would love to set the pace
04:24for a member of the Deathriders
04:26and his upcoming guy to be a Jiffy Challenger
04:28right over goes Claudio to the floor
04:35Shingo Takagi looking to get a heavy run here and Castagnoli
04:39going to take a powder to the outside
04:41going up over the top instead and look at the sheer power
04:47long described as one of the strongest pound for pound fighters not just in AEW CMLO
04:54but the whole sport of pro wrestling
04:56I would say all the combat sports Walker and Shingo
05:00feeling the in effects of that strength
05:04on the part of Claudio Castagnoli
05:06not just going to be here tonight fans I mean we want to take you back to July 2nd
05:10of this year
05:11the Deathriders Castagnoli and Pac defeated the War Dragons Dromaloni and Shing
05:16o Takagi and in the mind of
05:17Shingo Takagi it was a start to what was very poor Summer did not have the record
05:21He wanted it this year
05:22she won Climax tournament and now Takagi thinks the only way to turn his luck around is
05:27to
05:27well he wants to turn his luck around here
05:29oh the only way for Takagi to turn his luck around and to defeat the man who started it
05:35all
05:35Claudio Castagnoli and it happens here in Kobe World Hall
05:39that is a very very difficult time Claudio Castagnoli said well you had three months of bad
05:45luck
05:45after I beat you or get ready for another two years of bad luck after I beat you again here
05:51in Limit
05:52I mean they're big words I mean you said it earlier on with Shin Skywalker
05:56can you prove yourself here in New Japan Pro Wrestling Shinsuke Iwako just has new television
06:01champion
06:02but for Claudio Castagnoli the last time we saw him he was as you mentioned getting beat
06:06by Shotsun
06:06it's very very difficult and a very different situation when you're away from your home ring
06:16as Claudio is here tonight now that's not a situation Castagnoli isn't used to though
06:22said it before CMLL World Heavyweight Champion not too long ago
06:27can you believe it Chris that all the crossover that there was in years past with organizations
06:33like Dragon Gate Japan Dragon Gate USA Ring of Honor it's the first singles match ever between
06:38Shingo Takagi and Claudio tonight yeah ships passing in the night have Shingo and
06:42Claudio has been over the years
06:44I know this has been one of the matches the fans have been most eagerly anticipating here today
06:51a few tag fights over in AEW over the last two years
06:55a six-man scramble back in ROH in 2007 if you can believe it or not
07:00and Claudio Castagnoli looking to try and prove himself to Victor the past is the past
07:06it's all about the modern day there's a modern day kick out in the count of two from
07:10Shingo
07:11Shingo Takagi clearly I think we've seen it a couple of times this match up so
07:14far has the game plan in mind of trying to outpower Claudio Castagnoli and it's
07:19just not going to happen
07:20and the pride of the Dragon is too fierce
07:24a lot of weight on that midsection
07:28and a count of two again and Claudio frogs himself this arm trapped crossface
07:32yeah great stuff there always react from the kick out and leverage into your submission really wrenching away now
07:41Amanda and Claudio Takeagnoli
07:50see where that grip is that butchers grip now shifting in
07:55crossing over but both of those grips are where the boniest parts of his wrist his ankles right
08:01across the nose there you can see it
08:02Shingo Miei Catching Arrangement Finally
08:05IVE

08:46I thought the IWGP was the previous representative, but today it's decided.
08:50I'm thinking about it a lot.
08:52You could say that Gibi's helper is Gabe Kid.
08:56And yet, he is your representative.
09:02I was told that Manshugami is important, but your representative
09:06It was your representative who said that.
09:08I was told that Gabe Kid is your representative.
09:11He is your representative.
09:15Things tonight.
09:16We'll talk about that following this contest
09:18Takagi wants to set the pace for Moloni
09:20to have momentum in his corner.
09:22Claudio wants the same thing for Gabe Kidd on his side.
09:26hal terryot
09:27That is a bomb of a lariat
09:28That just went off.
09:29I do not
09:33Lucerne, Swiss native, Claudio Castaglioli
09:37trouble to the corner right now.
09:45A-Oh.
09:48A-Oh.
09:53A-Oh.
09:54A-Oh.
09:57A-Oh.
10:00Oh, look at this weight,
10:03A-Oh.
10:04A-Oh.
10:06A-Oh.
10:07Oh.
10:08Oh.
10:09Oh.
10:09That's the game play that Shingo has to shift towards.
10:12He has a little bit more speed.
10:14And Claudio Affiasuspet is power Ecchi is Spi
10:19The key to the code is...
10:20Rutankagi is based in Rotangagagel
10:26It may exceed
10:28Claudio Castagnoli but I think you're right about that choose your moments pick and dodge
10:33when you can
10:34And Takagi got it over
10:36the pendulum there worked out in Takagi's favorite
10:41here's the cover for Shingo Takagi and still not there for a three count victory
10:56Is it going to be time it is
11:01as we've known for so long about Shingo Takagi just out
11:09hold on a minute hold on a minute
11:12they remember back forbidden door a couple years ago Shingo Takagi Brian Danielson
11:17oh
11:21the Blackpool special with it and for elbows and right back there when Castagnoli
11:26the Cogging adopted that from Brian Danielson after that forbidden door loss and
11:32Dishesing it out on a man that
11:35Claudio has had ties to in years past whether he wants to believe it or not
11:40we know Shingo to be a very proud man when it comes to Japanese pro wrestling when
11:45It comes here in New Japan
11:47would be very distressed to Takagi if he loses tonight to Claudio
11:52and it could be in the meantime the opening of brand new doors for Mario Castagnoli in Japan
12:02going forward if he's victorious here tonight Walker just like it was for him in Mexico a few months
12:08ago
12:12there come those famous uppercuts
12:15rock it
12:16Shingo here
12:17you're going to go full head of spearball
12:20wow but you never turn your back on the rampage
12:22Drag it and Mariudio
12:23like a bullet out of a gun launching
12:26into the body of Takagi
12:29Struggling does them better
12:31those UR uppercuts
12:33Claudio Castagnoli and now Shingo Takagi in the danger zone here Walker
12:40What is he thinking?
12:41look at the strength gut wrench position for Claudio Castagnoli
12:50it's a doggy something else in mind
12:53Claudio going to find more safety on the inside of that ring and taking it right into the turn
12:58buckle
13:02is he going to try and bring him in or throw him out
13:05I don't like the looks of this one bit
13:07power in the world
13:09No no no come on Claudio
13:12That is customer real
13:14This real
13:15Unreal strength
13:19Claudio Castagnoli with a gut wrench superplex from the top
13:23and making it look so easy Chris
13:26I mean
13:29literally could be one of the Swiss Alps himself
13:32an absolute mountain of man
13:34composed of granite
13:36and down
13:37down goes Shingo right into the steel
13:41Shingo has got to try and find his bearings here
13:45barely keeping his feet underneath him
13:47and Claudio is on the move
13:48Claudio on the run
13:49and intercepted by the dragon in the corner
13:53I saw, I don't know you could
13:55I certainly did from my vantage point
13:56walk in the pace at which Valio hit the ropes
13:59the entire ring
14:00That was how fast
14:02the closing speed was right into the elbow
14:05and Shingo Takagi now
14:07He's teeing off
14:08and tagged him right on the jaw
14:11Shingo Takagi
14:13That is a fighter's fighter.
14:15but Claudio Castagnoli is showing something
14:17and the country of Japan might have long forgotten about
14:21and I think it's
14:23we've seen Shingo's biggest success come
14:27at the worry of errors
14:28on the part of Claudio
14:30And this might be the biggest
14:32the ring buckling under the weight
14:41of Takagi and Castagnoli
14:43See it again
14:46Mario saw me get plugged into the stratosphere
14:50he could stay there for all I care
14:52but Takagi and Castagnoli
14:53It was funny
14:54if it was me I'd go through the roof
14:56Come on Claudio
14:57come on
14:58come on
15:02Shiko Takagi wants to tear the roof up
15:05Kobe World Memorial Hall
15:06the way he's done many times before
15:08With love made in Japan
15:09to put down Claudio Castagnoli
15:13and the chapter of a rough summer path
15:17Takagi Manufacturing up
15:19oh and Castagnoli still standing
15:21oh
15:22you see the pride of both of the men
15:24won't go down
15:26thanks
15:27you can't
15:28no
15:28no no no
15:29up to the middle
15:29oh no
15:31Another error for Mariudio
15:48has been
15:50extremely difficult to overcome in this one
15:53But they're getting 3-4 stars.
15:57Shingo can think of Stars
15:59Shingo will make it
16:01I have this Montsou
16:02Kobel Hall
16:05The location of these stars
16:07Stars
16:12Japan Prowistal
16:13The location of the stars
16:17The location of the stars
16:19oh no wait a second, no no no!
16:21Oh Mario!
16:25This is incredible!
16:30They count it out in English
16:32walk on the ground in Kobe ten times an hour
16:36and he's picking up speed
16:39He's not done!
16:44you talk about going through the roof Chris
16:46those men nearly helicoptered in the stratosphere
16:50Claudio Castagnoli and Shingo Takagi
16:53continue the fight in World Hall
16:55and Claudio is looking to put it to bed
17:02stiff arm lariat
17:04and it's still, and it's still not enough to put down Shingo
17:12we know that Claudio Castagnoli has a very deep bag of tricks
17:15we could talk about that Ricola bomb all day long
17:18the neutralizer got style or otherwise
17:21Claudio Castagnoli has to have those gears turning
17:24What will it take?
17:25it might be that Ricola setting him up for it
17:28cross the switches underneath
17:29Shingo doesn't want to go
17:30Shingo keeping it right on the jaw
17:36oh and Claudio one step in the jaw
17:38Yeah, two times down
17:40Castagnoli he's got a Ricola bomb
17:45one two and oh
17:51you see it's time Claudio getting a little bit fancy
17:54a little bit frustrated with himself
17:56hasn't been able to put Shingo down all the way yet
18:01Now here come the people
18:02and the Shingo definitely needs the people
18:06Right now here in Colbet
18:08it's been a tough 24 hours for the Death Riders
18:12John Moxley losing his world title challenge to Will Ospreay
18:15at all out
18:16oh
18:16Claudio has Moxley on the back of his mind right now
18:19and Mariudio really
18:23has the neutralizer at the front of him
18:25Shingo again doesn't want to go down to one knee
18:28Claudio's got to grit his teeth
18:30harkens back to those Death Rider training camps
18:32oh wow
18:33that's great agility from Castagnoli
18:36lands on his feet
18:37Off with the head
18:38wow
18:38And here we go
18:40Takagi take down Castagnoli
18:43Claudio still standing
18:45Claudio still standing
18:49Ping Bomber
18:50Shingo digging down deep
18:57Takagi, let it
19:00Burning Dragon
19:021, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 5, 9, Up there!
19:09Shingo took it, deepened it, and asserted it with Stoller's secret technique.
19:13That's fine.
19:13The locker room's still a long way to go for both men but one really solid hit might be
19:18the one that ends it
19:23Shingo, Takagei setrewa.
19:26The dragon has it!
19:28It's over!
19:29This one is done!

21:46Idea!
21:50and see whether it is indeed a dog day for the Deathriders
21:55as Gabe Kidd defends that global gold
