The investigation into Peel Block’s suspicious inmate transfers takes another step forward.
Penelope and Blueberry have already discovered that three questionable transfers share the same authorization number. Now, with information from Gloria Guava and Officer Cranberry, they trace its routing code to Records Administration.
They finally know where the paper trail leads.
Unfortunately, someone else has noticed their questions.
Warden Evelyn Thorn learns that an inmate asked Officer Cranberry about an old transfer routing code. When Thorn discovers that inmate was Penelope, she tells Cranberry to report any further questions about transfer records.
Cranberry complies, but Thorn’s unusual interest leaves her wondering why the warden cares.
Meanwhile, Penelope and Blueberry face their next problem:
How do inmates get inside Records Administration?
