00:00Welcome back to another Luanty mod review. Today we are looking at the Mies mod.
00:08This is going to be a very short, very short review because there's not too much to it.
00:14So the, not to be confused with Mies, so you know we got the good stuff, which I placed this
00:20node here.
00:22Normally this only spawns underground, quite far underground actually.
00:26But see, there's a new trick, new trick on the block, as it were.
00:31And that's the Mies, spelt with a Z, although the texture is with an S.
00:35And this spawns above ground.
00:39Now you're going to find it below 64 elevation, and I think starts at 0 in stone and desert stone.
00:48It's semi-rare, now that one, and there's one around here, some place I put down.
00:55Yeah, right there, I put that one down.
00:57But then I found later, while I was doing some further exploring, that there were two chillin' right there.
01:05There's one chillin' right here.
01:09I think that may have been it.
01:12Yeah, so it's evidently not super, super rare.
01:16But what makes it special is what it does when you mine it.
01:22So this is like, if you want to play a prank on somebody.
01:25But you can't really use this to play a prank on them, because you can't craft it.
01:31But, um, so the whole pranking bit, unless you own the server and people are playing on the server, you
01:38can't really use this to prank anybody.
01:40But what happens is, you go ahead and you mine it, as one does, because you think it's Mies, and
01:45then you find out it's actually not.
01:46Three seconds after you mine it, you die.
01:50Like, straight up, you did.
01:52Um, and I'm pretty sure armor won't help you, because it, ooh, I didn't know that's where my home position
01:59was set.
02:00Because it, uh, it straight up just sets your health to zero.
02:04So, there's not even the chance that, oh, armor could help me.
02:10Because it just set your health to zero.
02:13Now, where was that?
02:14It was around here someplace.
02:16So, you gotta go back and get your bones, and you might be thinking, oh, well, at least I got
02:21this cool node.
02:21Now that I can use to prank people.
02:23Nope, no such luck.
02:25It doesn't drop anything.
02:27You mine it, you die.
02:29And that's it.
02:30There's no craft recipe.
02:32It just, it's part of MapGen.
02:36I don't believe you can mine it at all with, like, a, what are those ones called?
02:43Feather Touch or something, that kind of a thing, where, like, you mine nodes without actually getting the nodes dropped.
02:50You get the node itself.
02:51Pretty sure that would not work on this, but I have not tested it, so I'm not positive.
02:56Um, now another, another little giveaway on these.
03:02If we go ahead and set the time to night.
03:04See, this one doesn't glow.
03:05But if we come back over here, the real genuine, the real McCoy, as the expression goes, it glows.
03:15And the texture is different.
03:16But, you know, I could see somebody getting that mixed up because, I mean, the texture literally sees me on
03:25it.
03:25So you would think it's real.
03:27You'd be like, wow, it's above the ground.
03:29And I feel like this would only work for people who have extremely limited experience with the game.
03:34Um, but yeah, that's the mod.
03:37Uh, it's called Mies with a Z.
03:39Uh, if you're interested in it, it is on the content database.
03:41You can just go ahead and search for it, add it to your worlds.
03:44Um, like I said, it is map gen, so it'll only show up in spots where the map has not
03:49yet been generated.
03:50And, yeah, it really has no practical purpose other than to prank people.
03:54Which, if you're playing single player, are you gonna prank yourself, bro?
03:59I mean, I think it's kinda silly.
04:01But yeah, that's the mod.
