00:04Matt, start your first thoughts on that one.
00:07I feel like I'm saying it quite a lot but frustrated.
00:11We were the miles better team. I don't even think it was close. They put up a gun fight,
00:16they kept us at bay but it was just wave after wave after wave of attack for us. The amount
00:22of
00:22chances we created, I think it could have been four or five first half and that seems to be our
00:29story in a minute. On paper, the quality we have is right up there but chances we're just not
00:37capitalising on. In football, if you're on top in games, you need to make these chances. They need
00:43to be going in. Because of that, I was glad to go 1-0 up. It eased the frustrations. I
00:52would have
00:52took the 1-0. It's a win. It weren't quite good enough but I would have took the 1-0
00:56and then to
00:57concede in the manner we did at the end, it was so poor. It was basics. From throw-ins,
01:04you need people on toes and then do the thrower. We just didn't do it. Then we went back to
01:08the
01:08thrower, crossed the ball in and then we just didn't deal with it at the back post. You squared it
01:13back in, easy tap in. Incredibly frustrated that we defended really well, quite well for the majority
01:22of the game and we didn't take our chances when they come. Apart from that, we worked really hard
01:29but it wasn't enough. As you said, there's been a few games where maybe chances haven't been taken,
01:33it's cost you. Is there anything you can do to work on that? Is there any way in training?
01:38I mean, we could do finishing training but we haven't been able to train. We've been playing twice a week
01:44now since the start of the season. Them kind of things we haven't been able to work on. We do
01:51a
01:51little bit of it in the warm-up but the boys need to look at themselves. I've always said I'll
01:59back the
02:00boys all the way to the high heels. I'll defend them until my last dying breath and I always will.
02:05But ultimately, we're drawing and losing games from not taking our chances when they come. They need
02:14to take responsibility for that. On a slightly more positive note, Dev coming off the bench and
02:20scoring the goal, what sort of impact do you think he made in the game? He played in the training
02:24game
02:24for us that we had a couple of weeks ago and he made an instant impact then. It's just a
02:28nuisance.
02:29He constantly runs, he's a big lad, centre-half don't know how to deal with him. It's just a
02:34typical Dev's goal. The ball came in and it was just someone getting across this man and getting
02:38anything on it and that's exactly what he'd done. I'm absolutely delighted for him stepping up from
02:43the second team, coming off the bench today and scoring. I couldn't be happier for him, personally.
02:48Lastly, you mentioned they may need to look at themselves a bit. What is the message
02:52going into the next game and a busy month ahead? We'll be training Tuesday. We'll be working on
02:57these sort of things when we get in these positions. Ultimately, that is the message.
03:03When you're in, I said at half-time, when you get in these positions and you've beat your man,
03:07you've won them on with the keeper, just relax. You just need to relax and then just make sure you
03:12put that ball past the keeper. It's easier said than done, don't get me wrong, but we're just sort of,
03:17once we've beat the man, we're just snatching at it. We're just panicking and just getting the shot off.
03:21They're desperate to score, I understand that, but they need to relax a little bit when we get in
03:26these situations because, ultimately, this problem is just going to keep carrying on.
