00:06:07That's Martini, Stenshaw, and Rodin Motorsport going very well.

00:06:11They're up to third place in the team's championship.

00:06:1341 points only back from Campos Racing, but it's very close for the championship lead.

00:06:22Dunn, eight points back, and then Mini, 21 back.

00:06:25They'll be starting third, Camera.

00:06:27Solov down in 11th with that penalty now, Alex.

00:06:29Dunn's on the front row, and then Mini in 16th places.

00:06:33If it finishes as it is, it will be Camera five points ahead of Dunn in the championship, but that

00:06:38could very easily change.

00:06:40The chances of it finishing as it is, Chris, I would say are pretty low, considering what we saw yesterday,

00:06:4629 laps of feature race action.

00:06:48They must make a mandatory pit stop.

00:06:51That can happen after lap number six, and I think plenty of them will be diving for the pit lane,

00:06:57pending an early safety car here.

00:06:59Incredibly high incidence of safety car scramble here in Baku.

00:07:05No prizes for guessing why as we look at the walls down towards turn 15 that enclose the circuit, and

00:07:11the tech pro ever inviting, especially on the early laps.

00:07:14They've been struggling to get brakes and tyres up to temperature.

00:07:18Speaking of temperature, track temp is 38, air temp 25.

00:07:21It's a lovely, cool morning, very temperate, but the more energy they can get here in Baku, the better, and

00:07:29some of them will be hoping it was a little bit hotter to get the brakes up and running.

00:07:33Now, what's going to be going through the mind of Nikola Solov?

00:07:35Dunn has scored 35 points this weekend, Solov just four.

00:07:38He scored the least of the top four in the championship, and by some distance, now down in 11th, he's

00:07:46given himself some work to do, hasn't he, in this one, if he wants to get back into the lead

00:07:50of the championship.

00:07:51A lot of work to do, but there's a big toe to be given out down the front straight.

00:07:54DRS availability after one lap.

00:07:56His bigger problem was he's not had great balance throughout this weekend.

00:08:01Doesn't seem to quite have the speed, for example, of the road-ins or Beganovic in the dams.

00:08:08He starts just across from him in 12th position.

00:08:11So, hopefully, they'll have made some changes to that car overnight, and Solov will feel more comfortable with it, because

00:08:17being towards the rear of the field or being in the mid-pack in Baku is one thing.

00:08:22Being in the mid-pack without the pace to move forward is quite another, and that's where Solov's found himself

00:08:27over the last couple of races.

00:08:28We saw the field spread out a little bit at the start yesterday, didn't we?

00:08:33DRS trains can form, and it's key to get within one of those and then make your way through it,

00:08:39isn't it?

00:08:40It really is.

00:08:41Big difference as well between the clean and the dirty side of the racetrack.

00:08:45Pole on drivers right here in Baku.

00:08:48It's not a long run down towards turn one, and it's not easy to get off that second-place grid

00:08:54box.

00:08:55It gets very dirty down there by the wall.

00:08:57Colton Herter will be the last car to roll up to his grid box.

00:09:03And as we've seen all weekend, Martinis Jenshaw pointed inwards to cover off that inside line.

00:09:09Well, we've never had a team get 2-1, two finishes in a row, nor a driver gets three podiums

00:09:14in a single weekend.

00:09:15That can very easily change, so can the championship lead.

00:09:18Let's get ready to go racing.

00:09:20To the right of screen is Alex Dunn.

00:09:22To the left on pole position is Martinis Jenshaw, and we are go for the final time this weekend at

00:09:28Baku.

00:09:28The race to turn one begins a very good start in the White Campos.

00:09:32There for Noel Leon.

00:09:33He's going to pick up a couple of places, but it's Jenshaw who holds onto the lead ahead of Alex

00:09:38Dunn.

00:09:38We've got someone off in the background.

00:09:40Rafa Camera is in third.

00:09:41Yellow flags are out, Alex.

00:09:43It wasn't a great launch from Mary Boyer, and Noel Leon had to get right up against the inside wall

00:09:48to make that position stick.

00:09:51The car on the run-off area, we're being told, may have stopped, although there's a car moving slowly in

00:09:56the background.

00:09:56Yep, have we had two cars come together there, because one of the Van Ammersworts, it is in the background,

00:10:02and that will be confirmation that we have, because safety car is out straight away.

00:10:07So, all the field will now bunch up once again, and there's the answer.

00:10:12John Bennett, what a disappointing run of races.

00:10:15He's had that four DNFs in the last five races.

00:10:18For him now, it's been really disappointing.

00:10:22Yikes.

00:10:23I can't really, I have no words.

00:10:27So, all cars through the pit lane would denote that there's something on the racing line there, or they might

00:10:32just be being cautious about the stricken car of Bennett down in turn one.

00:10:37He looked to be off in the run-off area there.

00:10:41Let's see what's affording.

00:10:42It looked like a bit of a melee, didn't it, towards the rear of the field?

00:10:44Look for the green car of Mary Boyer.

00:10:46He doesn't get away, and then squeezes Noel Leon out towards the wall.

00:10:50It's as you started out front.

00:10:53Now we're going to look for the trident of Bennett towards the rear of the field.

00:10:56And he's just out of shot there, so we're not actually going to see what happens down to John Bennett.

00:11:01It looked like three into one didn't go there.

00:11:04Dino Biganovic, you might see the blue dams trying to come down the inside.

00:11:07Let's have a look again.

00:11:08Is that Roman Belinsky, in fact?

00:11:10Yeah, it's Belinsky, and then the Van Ammer Sport car just tags Bennett, unfortunately losing the engine in the run

00:11:17-off area there.

00:11:18So Martini Centro getting away nicely, defending his lead.

00:11:22He actually gets away slightly better than Alex Dunn, who has an inside front lock-up, looking for the flat

00:11:27spot there.

00:11:28He looks to have got away with it with the tyre relatively cold as he made his way down towards

00:11:33turn two.

00:11:34And, yeah, formation flying a little bit from the two road-ins.

00:11:38I'm sure it's not intentional in any way, but they started, and they run how they started.

00:11:43John Bennett walking back down the pit lane.

00:11:45At least he's close to the pit lane, having had an incident there, but that's about all he can take

00:11:51away.

00:11:51Yeah, real disappointment.

00:11:53He'll take no points away from Baku.

00:11:56So the safety car is out, and they'll head through pit lane, as you mentioned.

00:12:02It is when we get to lap six that the pit lane can open for compulsory pit stops, if you

00:12:10like.

00:12:10They have to use both compound of tyre, and we saw yesterday that it was under safety car.

00:12:15The leaders came in.

00:12:17Do you think we're going to see some teams going a little bit longer with strategy to try and pre

00:12:21-empt that today?

00:12:22This safety car will definitely help, but I don't think they're going to have the performance on the super soft

00:12:27tyre over any kind of distance to be able to do that.

00:12:30You're kind of locked in strategically to pitting relatively early, although less green flag running, of course, changes the game

00:12:38a little bit.

00:12:39We should be going green, though, next time around with a car of Bennett behind the wall.

00:12:43Looking at performance from the start, sort of actually lost a spot to Miata.

00:12:48So now sits in 12th camera, obviously, following in Dunn, Linus, Stern.

00:12:53Those two we highlight specifically, of course, because they're one point away from each other for the lead of the

00:12:58championship.

00:12:59Dunn very much in the hunt for this one behind his teammate.

00:13:02Yeah, so as you mentioned, Solov down a spot, Mini up two spots, 21 points back.

00:13:08He might be someone that rolls the dice when it comes to strategy because he's got a lot to gain.

00:13:14And right now, in terms of the points, it is still Rafa Kammerer who leads.

00:13:19But that could change if Alex Dunn gets ahead of his teammate, Martinius Stenshaw, and he will go into the

00:13:26lead of the championship.

00:13:29Build tyre temperature up again.

00:13:32Kammerer just leaning on the brake pedal.

00:13:35They're working on it hard in anticipation of going again this time.

00:13:40So Alex Dunn will have a look at his teammate here.

00:13:44And they've got a pit stop to do, but he'll be making a decision about whether he wants to push

00:13:50his teammate incredibly hard to make sure he can lead this race.

00:13:53And with the pace that he's had, it's not outlandish to suggest that even with the DRS, he might be

00:13:59able to get away here.

00:14:00He's been super quick throughout this weekend so far.

00:14:02The road in's absolutely dialed in.

00:14:05Normally in Baku, you'd be dishing out the DRS and the toe, and there'd be no chance.

00:14:11But with the speed that Dunn's had this weekend, he might be able to leapfrog his teammate and get away.

00:14:16That being said, Martinius Stenshaw's not exactly been slow.

00:14:18So it's really both of those road-ins that have been a step ahead of everyone else.

00:14:23And although they're teammates, they're in their own races, their own championship fights as well.

00:14:29So Martinius Stenshaw will absolutely want that victory today.

00:14:33He will.

00:14:34He'll be looking back at his teammate as though he was any other car out on the racetrack.

00:14:40Formula 2 working very, very differently from the top tier drivers here to prove their ability

00:14:46and that could prove their capacity to race in Formula 1.

00:14:50We don't see teammates help and move over for each other and swap positions the way that we do in

00:14:56other Formula E.

00:14:58Absolutely not.

00:14:59And this is the toughest restart now of the season.

00:15:02And Martinius Stenshaw will be dragging the field towards the first corner.

00:15:06But it's a long run down there, Alex.

00:15:08It really is.

00:15:09He's going to take him all the way to the line, isn't he?

00:15:12Splayed out across the 14-metre-wide front stretch.

00:15:30Under pressure, though, from championship rival Rafa Kamara,

00:15:33who's going to try and go all the way around the outside,

00:15:36almost squeezed up to the barrier there was Kamara.

00:15:39And now he could be passed here by Noel Leon.

00:15:41They're side by side once again.

00:15:43Elbows out.

00:15:44Stuff this for Alex Dunn.

00:15:45All of this, though, allowing Martinius Stenshaw to get away in the lead.

00:15:48Kamara had to go aggressive on the brakes,

00:15:50but how did he hold on to it down towards turn one?

00:15:53He's still under pressure from Leon as they make their way down to three.

00:15:56But luckily this time he's got the inside line.

00:15:58It's a move from Intrapuvatak in the background,

00:16:01but a really, really tricky moment for Kamara,

00:16:04who just holds on to third place.

00:16:06Yeah, the two ARTs were side by side.

00:16:08Let's go on board with Nikola Solov.

00:16:10He needs to get into the points.

00:16:12That's one covered off from Miata.

00:16:14He's got Dino Biganovic now next along,

00:16:16and he'll try and take it around the outside,

00:16:18but tucks back in behind Dino Biganovic there.

00:16:21Yeah, he needs to be aggressive here,

00:16:24and he's well into the points, Nikola Solov,

00:16:27to cover off Kamara, if he possibly can.

00:16:29And contact with the inside wall for Miata.

00:16:31Yeah, Dirksen squeezing him over to the barrier there.

00:16:34Has Miata picked up damage with that?

00:16:36He might have just about got away with it,

00:16:37but Gabriele Mini, one of the other championship contenders,

00:16:41taking advantage and getting himself up into 13th place.

00:16:45There's confirmation that the incident between Villegomez and Bennett

00:16:48has been noted.

00:16:49Now you've got to be within a second to grab the DRS,

00:16:52and Stenchon threatening to break that out front.

00:16:55Stenchon escaping away from Dunn.

00:16:57Kamara's still very much within that DRS range, though, of Dunn.

00:17:02So if Dunn isn't able to stay within a second here,

00:17:06he's going to be under big pressure from Kamara,

00:17:08who's going to take no prisoners out front in the championship.

00:17:12Solov will want to get into the points.

00:17:15He's just one point behind Rafa Kamara.

00:17:18Down the start-finish straight we come.

00:17:20It's Rodin's one and two, as it has been pretty much all weekend.

00:17:25Stenchon ahead of Dunn, and then we've got Kamara in third place.

00:17:36Dino Paganovic rounding out the points,

00:17:38and then there's the Red Bull junior of Nikola Solov in 11th.

00:17:44who has some sort of detritus attached to the car there, Oli Gerther.

00:17:49He's had a relatively storied weekend so far.

00:17:51Was on the alternative strategy yesterday.

00:17:54Didn't quite work out for him.

00:17:56Dunn has managed to get back up to the gearbox of Martin Estenchon,

00:18:00an important moment for him.

00:18:02Solov still trying to make progress,

00:18:04but at the moment it's advantage Kamara

00:18:06with regards to the championship.

00:18:08Yeah, we haven't seen DRS used just yet,

00:18:10but he's forcing a defence here from Paganovic,

00:18:13who's picked up two podiums so far this weekend.

00:18:16He's in absolutely on fire as the Swedish driver,

00:18:20so he's not going to be easy to get by at all here.

00:18:22Let's jump on board with the Bulgarian.

00:18:25Yeah, if there was a driver in the mid-pack of this race,

00:18:28you would not want to be trying to pass.

00:18:30It'd be Dino Paganovic,

00:18:31who's been on fire throughout the weekend so far.

00:18:34Won the sprint race third in the first feature.

00:18:36He has race-winning pace in that dams and is bottled up now

00:18:41behind Sebastian Montoya and indeed the rest of the pack.

00:18:45It's a DRS train that Solov is looking at,

00:18:48and he's not going to have the overspeed.

00:18:51Live driver standings, five points between Kamara and Dunn.

00:18:55Dunn moving up to second place.

00:18:57He would go into the championship lead if he can get by his teammate here,

00:19:02but he's got the likes of Kamara behind him.

00:19:04Noel Leon there as well, who's gained a couple of places,

00:19:07and Marie Boyer trying to go for a first podium,

00:19:10and he's had two DNFs so far.

00:19:12Hasn't done much running either this weekend, has Marie Boyer.

00:19:15Will that now start to play into his hands, I wonder, in this feature race too?

00:19:20DRS has now been enabled.

00:19:21Everyone in the top ten and beyond will get it.

00:19:24Everyone down to 14th is going to take the DRS,

00:19:27apart from the leader.

00:19:28So that's going to move everyone up to Martini and Stenshawn,

00:19:31who's going to be under pressure now,

00:19:33and the field's still very close at this stage.

00:19:35So moving the background for Hertha,

00:19:37and Belinsky is the driver under pressure.

00:19:39Yeah, he's defending.

00:19:41Here is Colton Hertha, as you mentioned as well.

00:19:44Yamakoshi doing well at the start of this race.

00:19:47He's been going well all weekend.

00:19:48Back to the leaders.

00:19:49DRS active down to turn three,

00:19:51and Dunn will close right into the back of Stenshawn.

00:19:54Kamara there in third place.

00:19:56Dunn has taken both the fastest laps this weekend

00:19:59and taken the extra points with it as well.

00:20:02So that's another thing to consider.

00:20:04The driver in the top ten with the fastest lap

00:20:07will get an additional point.

00:20:08And there is Joshua Dirksen putting pressure under Nikola Solov.

00:20:11We've got an Invicta trying to pass Solov.

00:20:14It isn't Kamara, though.

00:20:15He could do his teammates some favours here.

00:20:17Incident involving Montoya and Bogdanovic has been noted.

00:20:21So if that attracts any kind of penalty as they run,

00:20:24it would move Solov up into the points.

00:20:27Interesting to see what that one is.

00:20:30But there is a note going on.

00:20:33If it moves forward to being investigated,

00:20:35then it's really worth talking about.

00:20:37But those two, the ART and the dams that align astern,

00:20:41are under investigation at the moment.

00:20:44We're approaching the pit lane being open for compulsory pit stops here, Alex.

00:20:50Are we going to see anyone in the queue, like Nikola Solov, for example,

00:20:53roll the dice, get out of the queue and get some clear track,

00:20:57try and move forward?

00:20:59Do you think that could be something that he'll try in this one?

00:21:01It hasn't looked super tough to get the tyre up to temperature.

00:21:05It might well be worth doing something different for Nikola Solov.

00:21:08He'll also have more information if the team are able to make a late call,

00:21:12because he'll have a bit of time to work out if he wants to pit on the same lap

00:21:15or on different laps to the cars ahead.

00:21:17They'll have to commit to the pit lane first,

00:21:19and Solov will be able to take a view.

00:24:01And that, I believe, will be subtly to the benefit.

00:24:04It's only going to be slightly, though, isn't it?

00:24:05Because most of that was done under green flag running

00:24:09for Alex Dunn.

00:24:10It was, but you cannot pit under a virtual safety car.

00:24:15That's why it's virtual,

00:24:16because the marshals are in a position

00:24:18where they can just roll that one back.

00:24:20So for the rest of the field,

00:24:22they'll have to continue to roll round here,

00:24:25and this could work absolutely brilliantly

00:24:27for those who came in.

00:24:28Dunn, Maini, Beganovic, Montoya,

00:24:30and Belinsky as well.

00:24:32So Dams, looks like they brought both cars in.

00:24:35Yeah, so let's explain this one.

00:24:42you're not allowed to pit under a VS6.

00:25:33Those two have a lot to gain from going forwards.

00:25:35They can retake that championship lead.

00:25:37I thought we might have seen them

00:25:38try something a little different,

00:25:40but there's still a long way to go in this race.

00:25:42Problem is, if it's a full safety car then,

00:25:44and you preempt it,

00:25:46you can end up in the reverse scenario

00:25:48where everybody else pits under the full safety car

00:25:52and you don't.

00:25:54It's quite a complex interplay

00:25:55in how fast the cars are allowed to go

00:25:57with the earliest arrival time to the safety car.

00:25:59In any case, VSC is ending.

00:26:02We've got several drivers

00:26:03who have made their pit stop

00:26:06and will get the outcome of that.

00:26:08So you've got Dundown in 16th,

00:26:09Manny Biganovic, Montoya and Belinsky.

00:26:12Those are the drivers who have made it in and out.

00:26:16And those are the drivers who've taken that strategic play.

00:26:19Is that the kill?

00:26:20That puts Dund into the race lead

00:26:22and with it, the championship lead as well.
