Investigators search for clues, regarding potential alien visits to Earth, contained in Indian Sanskrit texts, Jewish Zohar writings, and megalithic Egyptian stone structures.

00:02:07Saqqara, Egypt, located roughly 20 miles south of Cairo, it is home to the world-famous
00:02:14steppe pyramid of King Djoser. Dating back more than 4,000 years, it is the oldest of Egypt's
00:02:2397 pyramids. Saqqqara is also famous for being one of Egypt's oldest burial grounds, earning
00:02:33it the nickname City of the Dead. It was here in 1891 that French archaeologists unearthed
00:02:42an ancient tomb containing the burial remains of Padiiman, an official from the 3rd century
00:02:49BC. Among the various items discovered was a small wooden model of what appeared to be
00:02:56a bird lying beside a papyrus bearing the inscription, I want to fly. The artifact was later sent to
00:03:07the Cairo Museum, where authorities placed it alongside several other bird figurines. The
00:03:13model sat largely unnoticed, until 1969, when Egyptologist Dr. Khalil Masiya was examining the
00:03:21bird collection, and noticed that there was something very different about the Saqqara bird.
00:03:27It's interesting, because on one hand clearly it should look like a bird, because it has eyes
00:03:34and it has a typical nose of a bird. On the other hand, the wings are clearly not bird wings.
00:03:41To the middle of the rump, you see, is the wing a bit thicker. In this region, the lift-up
00:03:51is the highest. The whole
00:03:53thing becomes thinner to the end of the wings, and those wings are modelled down. And this is a very
00:04:04modern
00:04:04aerodynamic design. Then the other point is, birds have no rudders, because a bird does not need a rudder, because
00:04:13of its
00:04:13aerodynamic architecture. And so there is the idea that they are not representing birds, but flying machines or aircraft.
00:04:29Could the ancient Egyptians have possessed the power of flight?
00:04:34In 2006, aviation and aerodynamics expert Simon Sanderson built a scale model of the Saqqara bird, five times larger than
00:04:44the
00:04:44original, to test that possibility.
00:04:59We're running at a constant speed, slowly increasing the angle of attack, and then measuring the forces which it's producing.
00:05:07That way, we can learn about its
00:05:08flight characteristics. At 10 degrees, we're producing four times weight in lift. So it actually would be flying there. That's
00:05:17good.
00:05:18Test shows the Saqqara bird is a highly developed glider. And this is a design we use today.
00:05:29During the Sanderson tests, it was discovered that the only thing preventing the Saqqara bird from achieving flight was the
00:05:36lack of a rear stabilizing rudder, or
00:05:39elevator, needed to maintain balance. Is it possible that the Saqqara bird ever possessed this critical component?
00:05:47What is missing is something like an elevator. But if you look at this feature here, then we may interpret
00:05:55that something like an elevator was
00:05:59connected here, but was lost during the history.
00:06:06Computer models seem to confirm that the Saqqara bird is certainly airworthy. But there is another problem to consider, launching
00:06:15a glider.
00:06:17Modern methods require the use of a tow plane that pulls the glider into the air, then releases it when
00:06:23a proper altitude is reached.
00:06:25So how might the ancient Egyptians have launched the Saqqara bird?
00:06:29The scientists of Egyptology told us that such a bird could be powered off by catapults to fly. And we
00:06:40had a high acceptance by Egyptian scientists.
00:06:45The idea of using a catapult does have a contemporary parallel. Many of today's glider enthusiasts employ a bungee cord
00:06:53system to launch their sailcraft into the air.
00:06:58But if the Saqqara bird is capable of flight, where would ancient Egyptians have acquired such technology?
00:07:05I think that people in ancient times were visited by beings coming not from this Earth.
00:07:11And they gave us culture and scientific technologies to improve our life on Earth coming from the primitive to a
00:07:22higher developed culture.
00:07:24If ancient cultures would be able to produce any really flyable machine, they would be far more advanced than we
00:07:33believe today.
00:07:38So it changes our viewpoint of ancient societies.
00:07:46It's a fact that our ancestors were more intelligent and had more technological superiority capabilities than our history books give
00:07:55them credit for.
00:07:57You begin to have to ask yourself, are we missing part of the story? And honestly, I think we are.
00:08:02I think there has been a forgotten episode in human history. And we're a species with amnesia. We don't really
00:08:10remember who or what we are.
00:08:11I haven't been convinced that there is evidence that supports an ancient visitation. But there is no reason why not.
00:08:23And I think to shut oneself to that possibility is a mistake, mainly because there are so many anomalies that
00:08:29we can't explain.
00:08:347,000 miles from Egypt, the dense jungles and rugged mountains of Colombia contain a vast number of archaeological sites.
00:08:46Many treasure hunters believe the legendary city of gold, El Dorado, lies hidden here, somewhere under a thick canopy of
00:08:55trees.
00:08:58While the mythical metropolis has never been found, early in the 20th century, tomb robbers searching along the Magdalena River
00:09:06stumbled upon a grave site dating back 1,500 years to a pre-Columbian civilization known as the Tolema.
00:09:15Among the funerary objects found there were hundreds of small two to three inch gold figurines.
00:09:21Many of those looked like insects and fish. However, out of those hundreds that they found, they also found about
00:09:32a dozen that are eerily reminiscent of modern day fighter jets.
00:09:42They have a triangular shape. They have an upright tail fin, stabilizers, and a fuselage. And they have nothing in
00:09:58common with anything similar in nature.
00:10:05Could these gold objects really be proof that Earth has been visited by ancient aliens?
00:10:12One of the objects shows typical spepped wings like with a modern aircraft. And if you compare it to something
00:10:22like a space shuttle, you see that the basic wing shape is very similar to wing shapes for high speed
00:10:31aerodynamic bodies like a space shuttle is.
00:10:36There is not a single insect in the world which has got its wings at the bottom.
00:10:41And when you exclude the possibility that it's an insect, one of the things which remain is the fact that
00:10:46this is actually, yes, what it looks like, a plane.
00:10:50In 1997, German aviation experts including Algun Inbohm and Peter Belting set out to prove the speculation by building a
00:11:01scale model replica of the gold flyer, fully equipped with landing gear and a working engine.
00:11:08It was rather simple because we don't need to put much parts to this shape because this shape is perfect.
00:11:18Everything was already done by the native people 2000 years ago.
00:11:25They did not add an inch or remove an inch. They just essentially blew the little thing into a larger
00:11:31size.
00:11:32I mean, this is sensational that pre-Columbian culture knew about aerodynamics.
00:11:42Once completed, the remote controlled flyer took off down a makeshift runway and flew.
00:11:52When you see this thing taking off, you really feel that this is the real deal.
00:11:58It was a very successful test and showed us how perfect ancient people were working out aerodynamic design.
00:12:09What shows you that there must be something happened. We are not quite sure how it did, but that it
00:12:19did.
00:12:19This is applied science. This isn't just thinking somewhere. This is people going out there and making sure and proving.
00:12:27With eyes to see, anybody can see this, that this is real, this is genuine.
00:12:32This little thing which sits in the museum could fly.
00:12:38So we have two examples from opposite side of the planet and both examples are aerodynamically sound and they fly.
00:12:51So to suggest that all of this is coincidence, I mean, after a while even coincidence no longer makes sense.
00:13:01Could the ancients have seen actual entities like ancient gods, ancient astronauts actually flying around in what amounted to modern
00:13:12aircraft?
00:13:13The answer to these questions may be found in ancient documents that describe flight patterns, aircraft specs and even aerial
00:13:24battles in remarkable detail.
00:13:30Over the past 50 years, NASA has sent astronauts into space inside large rockets.
00:13:37This method has been described by some as simply putting a man on a large firecracker and lighting the fuse.
00:13:49Man's ability to travel farther into space will require more advanced propulsion systems.
00:13:56Several are being researched by NASA.
00:13:59There are a wide variety of advanced propulsion technologies that are being actively developed and studied by NASA and other
00:14:09researchers.
00:14:10A really exotic version of that is to use a launch assist catapult.
00:14:16You use technology derived from the magnetic levitation trains to build a maglev sled that carries your rocket, gets it
00:14:26up to about Mach 1 and then launches the rocket from it.
00:14:32While these futuristic propulsion systems seem like something out of science fiction, ancient alien theorists believe past civilizations possess these
00:14:42same advanced technologies.
00:14:46They point to a number of cultural myths that describe sky people coming to Earth in fire breathing dragons or
00:14:54metallic looking machines as proof of extraterrestrial visitation.
00:14:59In my mind, legends and myths are based on something real.
00:15:04And while they've been mythified and exaggerated in many cases, in my mind some core of truth here in that
00:15:12people really were flying in airships in ancient times, just like we do today.
00:15:19But might these airships have reached Earth using the same type of propulsion systems we use today?
00:15:27The answer may be found deep in the Indian subcontinent.
00:15:33India.
00:15:34Over 1.1 billion people crowd its modern cities and rural townships, speaking hundreds of languages and practicing a number
00:15:43of different religions.
00:15:45India is considered one of the oldest civilizations, with settlements dating back over 11,000 years.
00:15:53It is also home to several of the oldest records of ancient technologies.
00:15:58Ancient Sanskrit texts dating back as far as 6000 BC describe in varying but vivid detail flying machines called Vimanas.
00:16:09Vimanas are aeroplanes and they are powered by some jet engines.
00:16:17This seems to be true because all the description of the flight behavior.
00:16:24Elephants ran away in panic.
00:16:29Grass was thrown out because there was a lot of pressure from behind those Vimanas.
00:16:37So that we can say this is a description of the spaceship.
00:16:48Although mainstream historians believe the Vimana texts are myths, many of the documents contain passages that seem to describe modern
00:16:57machinery and technology.
00:16:58The Vimanika Shastra goes into metals that are used in these craft.
00:17:04It talks about electricity and power sources.
00:17:08It talks about the pilots and the clothing they have to wear.
00:17:12It talks about the food that they eat.
00:17:15It talks even about the weapons that are kept on these airships.
00:17:19The flight manuals of the Vimanas are quite similar to the flight manuals you find in the modern passenger flight
00:17:27business or when you go to the military jet engines.
00:17:32Of course they have also flight manuals because it's necessary for a pilot to get knowledge about his plane he
00:17:41wanted to fly with.
00:17:45We also learned that these Vimanas could be controlled mentally and this is a technology that modern militaries are beginning
00:18:00to develop.
00:18:01Even today, with as advanced as we think we are, almost every manifestation of an actual extraterrestrial civilization today would
00:18:11look almost like magic to us.
00:18:13Where it has to do with technological electromagnetic systems that interface with coherent thought and organized thought.
00:18:22And this gets into people who go, wow, now you're losing me here.
00:18:25But I tell people, I say, yeah, well, you've got to push your boundaries a little bit if you're talking
00:18:29about a true interstellar civilization.
00:18:33The Vimanika Shastra, or science of aeronautics, indicates Vimanas used a propulsion system based on a combination of gyroscopes, electricity
00:18:43and mercury.
00:18:45Is this possible?
00:18:47Mercury is an unusual element.
00:18:49Mercury is metal, it's also a liquid, and it's a conductor of electricity.
00:18:59Now there's unusual things you can do with mercury.
00:19:02You can put it into a closed gyroscopic device with mercury spinning around, and then you can electrify it.
00:19:13And studies have been done on this by NASA and by other scientists.
00:19:17And they find that you have levitation effects, anti-gravity kind of effects, and a spinning bright light is part
00:19:25of it too.
00:19:26The Vimanika Shastra suggests Vimanas were powered by several gyroscopes, placed inside a sealed liquid mercury vortex.
00:19:35Here's an example of a little kid's gyroscope.
00:19:39You spin it with a heavy wheel around a central axis.
00:19:45Well, a gyroscope seems to do a lot of strange things, even defy gravity.
00:19:50And it does this because it uses what's called rotational or angular momentum.
00:20:00And it wants to keep a particular orientation on its spin axis, the center rod.
00:20:06If you push on that rod, it will want to righten itself up to its original orientation.
00:20:14It wants to keep that same angular momentum.
00:20:19Gyroscopes are used all over the place, in airplanes, in spacecraft, in submarines.
00:20:26This allows them to determine their position based on where they started.
00:20:31They can also use it for finding their velocity or even just the orientation of the vehicle in space.
00:20:38One of the texts talks about mercury rotating and driving some sort of a powerful wind or a windmill effect.
00:20:51That might be some sort of what we call a flywheel energy storage.
00:20:57Where you have a spinning disk and then you extract energy from it slowly.
00:21:02That would be the mercury.
00:21:03And then that could be used to drive some sort of a propeller or what we call a ducted fan
00:21:09sort of system.
00:21:11Like you have in a hovercraft.
00:21:16Mercury would be quite good for that because it's a high density.
00:21:19So you'd have a small package for your power plant.
00:21:23And that's always good when you're building an aircraft.
00:21:27Flywheel energy storage systems, however, tend to lose power quickly.
00:21:32To navigate across space, its size would have to be enormous.
00:21:37They're fine for use by power companies for load leveling.
00:21:42You put energy in when you don't need it.
00:21:44You get energy out when you need it.
00:21:47But they're sitting on the ground.
00:21:49To have something light enough to actually fly, it's not at all clear that this would be a practical device.
00:21:56Now maybe the people were trying to describe something that kind of looked like this to them.
00:22:04It might not have actually been mercury.
00:22:06It might have been some other liquid metal.
00:22:08The mercury vortex engine is perhaps a failure in the translation.
00:22:15Because the vortex is not a material quite suitable to a jet engine.
00:22:25The issue of how are these civilizations traveling faster than the speed of light is a fundamental question.
00:22:34It's a scientific application of things that have been studied for thousands of years and they're within the Vedas.
00:22:40The ancient Vedic teachings or other ancient teachings. And it is there.
00:22:47But if Vimanas existed, could this prove there was a worldwide transportation network thousands of years before Columbus?
00:22:56The answer might be found on a mountaintop outside Mexico City.
00:23:06In the 21st century, modern transportation and communication methods have connected the world like never before.
00:23:15Products or ideas, no matter where in the world they may have originated, can spread to even the most remote
00:23:21countries.
00:23:22A hip-hop hit in Brooklyn might make it big in Tokyo before it's even heard in Manhattan.
00:23:28This cultural interconnection has transformed the globe. But is it new?
00:23:37Mainstream archaeologists believe ancient civilizations such as those found in the remote Pacific Islands, Asia and South America developed independently
00:23:47from each other.
00:23:49But ancient astronaut theorists contend that similarities in building styles and beliefs found in these cultures suggest that a worldwide
00:23:59trade route may have connected them to each other.
00:24:08But just like we have airports today around the world, in ancient times with the Vimanas, there would have been
00:24:18hangars for the craft, airports for them to land, and those airports would have been situated in strategic places around
00:24:26the world.
00:24:26And that's exactly what we see in remote places.
00:24:33Could the complex set of lines covering Peru's Nazca Plain, or the mysterious plateau above Mexico's Oaxaca Valley, be evidence
00:24:42of runways for a worldwide air transportation system?
00:24:45One of the unusual archaeological sites in Mexico is a place called Monte Alban.
00:24:52That is also a mountain where the top of the mountain was completely cut off and leveled to make a
00:25:01very flat tabletop mountain.
00:25:04And there's a megalithic city there, too, that's extremely old.
00:25:13This was probably some kind of Vimana airport.
00:25:24The Vimanas could be kind of missing link between the single cultures in the world, because they had just a
00:25:33very short time to flow from one part of the world to the other.
00:25:42Legends of air travel are also found in ancient Africa and the Middle East.
00:25:48According to the Cabernagast, a holy book of the Ethiopians, written sometime before the 2nd century AD, the Queen of
00:25:57Sheba was once given a gift of a flying carpet by King Solomon of Israel.
00:26:02The Cabernagast is one of the most important texts you've never heard of.
00:26:09The Cabernagast means the Book of Kings, and it is the most sacred book of the Ethiopians.
00:26:19In it, King Solomon is described, he had access to some type of a flying machine.
00:26:28And in that part of the world, the term flying carpet was always used very liberally.
00:26:37My question is, did they really mean actual flying carpets, or was it another term with which to describe some
00:26:48type of a flying machine?
00:26:51This was the original chariots of the gods that Erich von Donegan talked about.
00:26:58The flying magic carpets of the Arabian Nights stories.
00:27:05There are traditions in the Middle East of King Solomon having this airship and flying to different places in the
00:27:13Middle East, certain mountains, which are known as the Mountains of Solomon.
00:27:17These may have been certain airports or landing areas for these Vamanas.
00:27:26Nicholas Rorick, famous Russian-American explorer who traveled all through Central Asia and Tibet in the 1920s.
00:27:37He, too, claimed that Tibetans had traditions of King Solomon flying to Tibet in this aircraft.
00:27:45The Cabra Nagast also describes how King Solomon used his flying airship to make maps of the world.
00:27:53But could these have any relation to other ancient maps some believe may have been made by extraterrestrials?
00:28:00Some of these maps show the world not as it looks today, but as it looked during the last Ice
00:28:06Age.
00:28:06And this is really hard to explain.
00:28:09Everybody's heard of the Piri Reis map, but they've perhaps not heard of the Rontius Phineus map or the Mercator
00:28:15maps that show Antarctica in great detail hundreds of years before Antarctica was even discovered.
00:28:23One of the most referenced stories of ancient aircraft is found in a surprising place, the Bible.
00:28:31In the book of Ezekiel, the prophet describes a flying chariot containing wheels within wheels and powered by angels.
00:28:41Although Bible historians suggest Ezekiel was speaking symbolically about the terrifying enemies facing Israel, could this be another example of
00:28:51an alien visitation and proof that prehistoric aircraft existed?
00:28:56In the story of Ezekiel's throne chariot, this flying vehicle that doesn't seem to have any means of propulsion, if
00:29:04we thought of the word angel as representing something like celestial energy, it sounds much more like a spacecraft then
00:29:13because some of the angels are going back and forth.
00:29:15Well, that sounds like flames.
00:29:17Well, that sounds like flames.
00:29:17That sounds like propulsion.
00:29:19Some of them are wheel-like.
00:29:21Well, those sound like flying saucers.
00:29:22Well, those sound like flames.
00:29:26Our ancestors weren't idiots.
00:29:30Ezekiel saw something that was so frightening to him that he fell to his knees.
00:29:36Then, out of the glory of God came this being in these bright clothes that looked like metal and told
00:29:46Ezekiel,
00:29:46Ezekiel, all right, man, we brought you here.
00:29:50We want you to measure this monument, this building.
00:29:54And Ezekiel asks, well, why should I do this?
00:29:57And the being says, that's why we brought you here.
00:30:02And then you have 40 pages in the second part of the book of Ezekiel
00:30:07with measurement after measurement after measurement of this gigantic building
00:30:12in which, by the way, the glory of the Lord landed.
00:30:22In the early 1970s, NASA scientist Joseph Blumerich set out to disprove the theory
00:30:29that what Ezekiel witnessed was a spaceship.
00:30:32Joseph Blumerich is your proverbial rocket scientist.
00:30:37He worked on the moon project for NASA.
00:30:40NASA, and from the mind of a rocket engineer,
00:30:45started to look at what was written in the first part of the book of Ezekiel.
00:30:51And after many months of research,
00:30:54Joseph Blumerich came to the conclusion
00:30:57that what Ezekiel described in his eyewitness report,
00:31:05it was indeed a type of spacecraft.
00:31:11Joseph Blumerich would go on to write The Spaceships of Ezekiel.
00:31:16Several years later, a German structural engineer named Hans Herbert Bayer
00:31:22sketched out a blueprint of the second section of the book of Ezekiel,
00:31:26where Ezekiel is told to construct an open-top building to house the flying chariot.
00:31:32Ezekiel's spaceship fit exactly into the temple that Hans Herbert Bayer recreated.
00:31:41So what we have here is a proof by indication.
00:31:44Here we have a NASA engineer and a structural engineer.
00:31:50They didn't know if each other's work and both pieces fit together like a puzzle.
00:31:56In any court of law, that's evidence that would hold up.
00:32:03I think that scientists feel uncomfortable with the notion of the lost civilization,
00:32:08precisely because the evidence for it is so ambiguous.
00:32:12It's not so in your face that it's immediately obvious.
00:32:15And, you know, the result is that science has not welcomed this idea.
00:32:20It'll take much more evidence before it's widely accepted.
00:32:25The God that I believe in doesn't need a vehicle in which to move around from point A to point
00:32:32B.
00:32:34Whatever was described in the Old Testament wasn't God.
00:32:38It was a misunderstood flesh-and-blood exterrestrial whom our ancestors misinterpreted as being divine and supernatural.
00:32:50And why? Because of misunderstood technology.
00:32:54And that is the underlying thread that applies to all of the ancient astronaut theory.
00:33:03But while ancient texts provide tantalizing clues to our past,
00:33:08physical evidence paints an even clearer picture.
00:33:11But will modern science finally prove the ancient astronaut theory?
00:33:17Did the ancient civilizations of Earth have access to advanced technology?
00:33:23Well, it seems like they had something going on.
00:33:34In today's largest construction sites and quarries,
00:33:38huge mega-machines are used to dig, cut, and lift stone.
00:33:43These man-made creatures dwarf their creators
00:33:47and perform the work of thousands of men using modern hydraulic technologies.
00:33:53Without such equipment, builders could never construct modern skyscrapers.
00:34:00Yet thousands of years ago, ancient civilizations were accomplishing the same work
00:34:05while constructing their monuments and temples using massive stones.
00:34:11These enormous blocks, many weighing in excess of 100 tons,
00:34:16would be a challenge even for today's engineers.
00:34:20Yet thousands of years ago, people cut them out of solid rock,
00:34:25transported them for miles,
00:34:26and then lifted them precisely into place.
00:34:30But how?
00:34:33Did they cut these massive stone blocks with hammers, chisels, and copper wire,
00:34:39as mainstream archaeologists suggest?
00:34:42Could they have lifted and transported them without a pulley system or the wheel?
00:34:47Or did ancient civilizations possess advanced technologies
00:34:51that have since been lost to science?
00:35:00At Giza, you just don't have the pyramids.
00:35:04The link to the pyramids are what Egyptologists call valley temples.
00:35:08It doesn't take a rocket engineer that when you go there,
00:35:11there's something not quite right here.
00:35:14Whereas the pyramids are built with blocks of two to three tons,
00:35:19these temples, which are minute compared to the pyramids,
00:35:23are built with blocks of 100 tons, and some of them 200 tons.
00:35:28Now, let me tell you what a 100-ton block is.
00:35:30If you take 100 family cars and you squeeze them together,
00:35:33you get one of these blocks.
00:35:34First of all, let alone how they move these blocks,
00:35:38is why would they want to use 100-ton blocks?
00:35:41It simply doesn't make sense.
00:35:45There's no reason for them to want to build out of granite blocks
00:35:50the size of a semi-truck.
00:35:52It's like, okay, let's do something,
00:35:55but let's do it as difficult as we could possibly do it.
00:35:58The reason why I am convinced
00:36:02that sophisticated technology was utilized in these ancient rocks
00:36:07is because if we go to a stone quarry today
00:36:11and look at the scope of machinery required
00:36:16to accomplish similar things,
00:36:19those machines are huge.
00:36:25Subscribers to ancient alien theory
00:36:27do not believe extraterrestrials built these amazing monuments,
00:36:31but instead provided some type of technological know-how
00:36:35or tools to our ancestors.
00:36:39Engineering expert Chris Dunn
00:36:41has spent several decades researching
00:36:43the construction tools used by the ancient Egyptians.
00:36:47We're normally taught by Egyptologists
00:36:51that the ancient Egyptians had simple tools.
00:36:54They went to work every day using stone balls,
00:36:58copper chisels, a copper tube and sand
00:37:01to grind holes in diorite and granite,
00:37:05extremely hard rock.
00:37:06From what I have actually gathered over the years,
00:37:10is information that seems to actually argue
00:37:13against that notion that they had simple tools.
00:37:19In Egypt, Dunn was able to examine
00:37:22ancient sites firsthand.
00:37:26What he found has proved to be both revolutionary
00:37:29and controversial.
00:37:32If you look at the Giza Plateau
00:37:34and all the stones that they actually placed
00:37:37in the Great Pyramid and Capra's Pyramid
00:37:40and the Karas Pyramid,
00:37:41two and a half million blocks of stone
00:37:43in the Great Pyramid alone,
00:37:45they had to have had some efficient means
00:37:48of cutting them to size and putting them into place.
00:37:50They had to have had somebody on site
00:37:53who's saying, okay, I need a block this size
00:37:56and then getting a block to them that size
00:38:00stack, like immediately.
00:38:05While searching several miles north of Giza
00:38:07at Abu Ruwash,
00:38:10Dunn stumbled upon a clue
00:38:11when he spotted a granite block
00:38:13containing a deep cut.
00:38:17When I first saw it,
00:38:19I just didn't know what to make of it.
00:38:21And it was only after puzzling over it for days
00:38:24and sometimes waking up at three o'clock in the morning
00:38:28scratching my head and thinking,
00:38:29well, how did they make this cut?
00:38:31And finally to realize that
00:38:34the only way that they could have actually cut that thing
00:38:37was with a saw that was 35 feet in diameter.
00:38:44The idea that ancient Egyptians used giant saws
00:38:47provoked much resistance from mainstream archaeologists.
00:38:51Dunn, however, was convinced.
00:38:53As an ex-machinist, I look for tool marks.
00:38:57I look for them everywhere I go.
00:38:59And I could be accused of, well, you know,
00:39:01if you're going to look for something,
00:39:02you're probably going to find it
00:39:03because you're looking at it through a certain filter.
00:39:07I accept it, I agree.
00:39:08But the question is, why is it there?
00:39:13Clearly to me, that is a machine mark.
00:39:15But there were no machines back then.
00:39:18So what do I do?
00:39:20I just go looking for more machine marks
00:39:22and they're all over the place.
00:39:25You find them on statues,
00:39:27you'll find them particularly in the Luxor Museum.
00:39:31There seems to be an impression
00:39:33on the side of Amun's buttock,
00:39:37where it meets the bench,
00:39:39where there is an undercut.
00:39:40It was the slip of a tool.
00:39:42And therefore, it must have been a tool
00:39:44that was quite efficient.
00:39:48Dunn also believes
00:39:49that the large depressions in the ground at Giza
00:39:51are not boat pits,
00:39:53as is claimed by mainstream archaeologists,
00:39:56but were actually used to hold the 35-foot saws.
00:40:00I speculate that they were actually saw pits.
00:40:03The saws were mounted in these pits
00:40:06and that they ran the blocks through the saws
00:40:10before they put them in the Great Pyramid.
00:40:13Another mystery involves
00:40:15how megastones were lifted up
00:40:17and placed into a precise position.
00:40:20What you find in modern construction
00:40:22is that to build big buildings,
00:40:24you need to build big instruments
00:40:26which help build these big buildings.
00:40:28And that is something
00:40:29which archaeology has never addressed.
00:40:32The three largest man-made stones in the world
00:40:35are found at the Temple of Jupiter
00:40:37at Baalbek in Lebanon.
00:40:40Each weighs an estimated 1,000 tons,
00:40:43or 2 million pounds.
00:40:46A nearby quarry contains an even bigger stone,
00:40:49known as the Stone of the Pregnant Woman.
00:40:52This giant rectangular block
00:40:54weighs an incredible 1,200 tons.
00:40:59To move it today
00:41:00would take the strength of 21 heavy-lift cranes.
00:41:07Being in the construction industry,
00:41:10if a certain project is being constructed somewhere,
00:41:14particularly in mountainous areas,
00:41:17how would we carry this machinery,
00:41:21these cranes and all that?
00:41:23They are so heavy
00:41:25that it's virtually impossible
00:41:26to take them to the site.
00:41:29This stone came off
00:41:32of a project in Palm Springs
00:41:35where they had one of the largest excavators
00:41:39they could rent.
00:41:40They had trouble loading it into the truck.
00:41:42It's well in excess of 5 tons,
00:41:4610,000 pounds.
00:41:48Small in megalithic terms,
00:41:51but basically what we can handle
00:41:54with modern machinery.
00:41:57We're supposed to accept
00:41:59that the people who build the pyramids
00:42:01did not have the wheel,
00:42:04did not have the pulley,
00:42:05did not have iron.
00:42:07In fact, they had nothing.
00:42:09With brutal manpower
00:42:11and pieces of strings,
00:42:13the context does not fit the evidence.
00:42:18I've done pulling operations
00:42:20in Upper Egypt,
00:42:22thousands of people involved
00:42:24in the various stages of the project,
00:42:26moving very fragile pieces of stone
00:42:30that weigh hundreds,
00:42:31if not thousands of tons.
00:42:34Yes, you can use ropes,
00:42:36but you're going to have to use
00:42:38other mechanical advantages.
00:42:43But if ancient civilizations
00:42:45did not possess
00:42:46modern mechanical equipment,
00:42:48how did they move and lift
00:42:50megaton stones?
00:42:52Some believe they were given
00:42:54a technical advantage
00:42:55from extraterrestrial visitors.
00:42:58You've got to ask yourself,
00:43:00why would they try and do something
00:43:02that seems so incredibly difficult?
00:43:05The answer to why they would do that
00:43:08has to be that it somehow
00:43:11wasn't so difficult for them.
00:43:14It was easy.
00:43:17There exists one very concise description
00:43:22of how these massive stones
00:43:26were transported from the quarry
00:43:29to the building site.
00:43:31The master builders had the capability
00:43:34of putting some type of a white substance,
00:43:38paper-like substance,
00:43:40onto the stones,
00:43:41and they wrote on it,
00:43:43and then they basically gave
00:43:46the stone block a push,
00:43:47and it moved by six feet,
00:43:50as if by magic.
00:43:52Now, did that thing really move by magic?
00:43:56No.
00:43:57Some technology was used.
00:44:01That is part of the solution.
00:44:04In order to really move
00:44:05massive amounts of stone like that,
00:44:08they would have had to have been
00:44:09levitated,
00:44:11somehow made weightless,
00:44:13and then just moved through the air
00:44:16by some kind of device,
00:44:18perhaps even a handheld kind of device,
00:44:21like some beam weapon.
00:44:27Ancient man's method
00:44:28of moving large blocks
00:44:30is only one mystery.
00:44:32Another surrounds the techniques
00:44:34of their stonemasons.
00:44:35How did prehistoric civilizations
00:44:37cut such intricately designed patterns
00:44:40in solid granite?
00:44:53Palm Springs, California.
00:44:56Master stonemason and sculptor Roger Hopkins
00:44:59uses a variety of advanced tools
00:45:02to cut and shape hard stones.
00:45:07Powered implements,
00:45:08such as diamond-tipped wires
00:45:10and polishers,
00:45:12enable him to fashion works of art
00:45:14out of huge granite blocks
00:45:15obtained from nearby quarries.
00:45:21Yet even with these high-tech tools,
00:45:24Hopkins cannot replicate
00:45:25what ancient civilizations accomplished
00:45:28thousands of years ago.
00:45:33Could these advanced engineering methods
00:45:35be the smoking gun that proves
00:45:37humans had help from alien beings?
00:45:43The precision on some of the work
00:45:45that I've seen is just incredible.
00:45:48It's possible to do by hand,
00:45:51but it takes an incredible amount of time.
00:45:55Plus, you have to have years of experience
00:45:59to be able to pull it off.
00:46:01In my opinion,
00:46:02the most tangible pieces of evidence
00:46:04that we have regarding possible
00:46:07extraterrestrial technology
00:46:08is when we look at the ancient
00:46:12stone-cutting techniques.
00:46:14Because in some instances,
00:46:17we ourselves today could not replicate
00:46:21what our ancestors allegedly accomplished
00:46:25with stonemasonry.
00:46:35Pumapunku is a large temple complex
00:46:37located on a high plateau in Bolivia.
00:46:46Mainstream archaeologists date the site
00:46:48from approximately 200 B.C.
00:46:52The people who lived here
00:46:53had neither a written language
00:46:55nor the wheel.
00:46:56Yet somehow,
00:46:58they built one of the world's
00:46:59most complex structures.
00:47:05Ancient alien theorists
00:47:06view Pumapunku
00:47:07as clear proof
00:47:09of extraterrestrial influence.
00:47:13The ruins we find
00:47:15at Pumapunku
00:47:16are simply extraordinary.
00:47:20Pumapunku defies logic.
00:47:27The interest of Pumapunku
00:47:30is not so much
00:47:30that the individual stones
00:47:32slotted together perfectly,
00:47:34but the fact that the stones
00:47:35as such
00:47:36are of such tremendous design
00:47:38that it requires concepts
00:47:39of mathematics
00:47:40which are far beyond anything
00:47:42we are actually using right now.
00:47:43Yet somehow in the past,
00:47:45somebody has made that
00:47:46for a specific purpose
00:47:48and in a way
00:47:49which even computer programs today
00:47:51would kind of go,
00:47:52how is this possible?
00:48:02In the highlands of Bolivia,
00:48:04Pumapunku,
00:48:06some of these blocks
00:48:08are over 40 to 50 tons each.
00:48:11What can you tell us about this?
00:48:14Boy, they had their stone-cutting abilities
00:48:19pretty well fine-tuned
00:48:21for 5,000 years old.
00:48:22I mean,
00:48:24it's almost unbelievable.
00:48:26But these cutting planes
00:48:28that they have on here
00:48:29are very impressive.
00:48:31And some of the insides cuts,
00:48:36see like in here,
00:48:37all these interior cuts,
00:48:39very hard to do.
00:48:40I mean,
00:48:41it would be difficult for us
00:48:42with our equipment
00:48:43to get that kind of precision.
00:48:50Let's talk a little bit
00:48:51about inside boxes.
00:48:53Ooh.
00:48:54I was afraid
00:48:54you were going to pull
00:48:55something like this on me.
00:48:57That is a hell of a piece of work.
00:49:00I mean,
00:49:02if we were to do something like that today,
00:49:04we use what they have,
00:49:06these computer-driven CNC machines
00:49:09which have diamond tips
00:49:11and you have a template
00:49:13and you have a template
00:49:14that the computer follows
00:49:15and even then,
00:49:17it may not come out as perfect.
00:49:20Because even though you can tell
00:49:22that obviously this piece broke off,
00:49:25nowhere in here
00:49:26can you see any imperfection.
00:49:28It's like,
00:49:29and by the way,
00:49:29when you're there,
00:49:31if you go with your finger
00:49:32over these edges
00:49:33and you put a little pressure
00:49:35on your fingertip,
00:49:36you can cut yourself.
00:49:38This is how sharp
00:49:39the edges are.
00:49:45But where could the ancient peoples
00:49:47have developed such technology?
00:49:50Is it really possible
00:49:51that extraterrestrial visitors
00:49:53provided different construction methods
00:49:55and tools?
00:49:57When I saw these blocks,
00:50:00I didn't really think
00:50:01that they were cut.
00:50:04The first thing, really,
00:50:05that I thought of
00:50:07was this appears very similar
00:50:09to Frank Lloyd Wright's
00:50:11textile block system of construction,
00:50:13which he used in his California houses
00:50:16in the early 1920s.
00:50:19Now, what he did was
00:50:21he took concrete,
00:50:24poured it into molds,
00:50:26there actually are
00:50:28ancient Incan legends
00:50:31that suggest
00:50:33that they had the capability
00:50:35of softening the stone.
00:50:38At Sacsayhuaman, for example,
00:50:41we find these gigantic stone blocks,
00:50:44gigantic stone walls,
00:50:45where it looks as if those stones
00:50:48were molten,
00:50:50put into place,
00:50:52and then the stone hardened again.
00:51:02of Pumapunku,
00:51:04Machu Picchu sits high atop
00:51:06the Peruvian Andes.
00:51:08Pumapunku,
00:51:09Built by the Incas
00:51:11in the 15th century,
00:51:12this stone citadel
00:51:14was suddenly abandoned
00:51:15about 100 years later.
00:51:18Like Pumapunku,
00:51:20Machu Picchu also has signs
00:51:22of advanced engineering
00:51:25and possibly molded stones.
00:51:30I can't help but think
00:51:31that whoever was behind this
00:51:33thought the process through
00:51:35from beginning to end.
00:51:36They didn't quarry the rock
00:51:37and then decide,
00:51:38how the heck are we going to
00:51:39transport this?
00:51:40They knew from beginning to end
00:51:43what needed to be done
00:51:45with whatever techniques
00:51:46and technology
00:51:47they were going to use
00:51:49so that this was no big deal.
00:51:53In industry today,
00:51:54there's a kind of an adage,
00:51:56keep it simple, stupid.
00:51:59Based on his experience,
00:52:01Mike Dunn believes
00:52:02the simplest way
00:52:03to build the great walls
00:52:04of Machu Picchu
00:52:05would have been
00:52:06to transport small rocks
00:52:08to the site,
00:52:09then melt them
00:52:10and use molds
00:52:11to fashion
00:52:11the exact size
00:52:12and shape needed.
00:52:15That would solve
00:52:17a lot of difficulties
00:52:18of constructing
00:52:20this wall first.
00:52:21You have your shapes
00:52:23all the same size,
00:52:25each shape,
00:52:26so you're guaranteed
00:52:28that they would fit together
00:52:30as opposed to being cut
00:52:33by different artisans.
00:52:35Melting the rocks
00:52:37and then pouring them
00:52:38into place
00:52:39would take
00:52:39an incredible amount
00:52:41of heat
00:52:42just to spall off
00:52:44pieces of stone.
00:52:46I have a stone torch
00:52:49which I use
00:52:49for sometimes shaping granite
00:52:52and, I mean,
00:52:54it generates a temperature
00:52:55of in excess
00:52:57of 3,000 degrees.
00:52:593,000 degrees.
00:53:01That's a lot.
00:53:05When we look back
00:53:06at the ancients
00:53:07and we see a technology
00:53:10that they couldn't
00:53:11possibly know,
00:53:13there's only two possibilities
00:53:15of that.
00:53:15Either God did it,
00:53:17which we really
00:53:18don't think happened,
00:53:21or some high-tech civilization
00:53:24from another planet
00:53:25came and showed them
00:53:26how to do it,
00:53:27then took their materials
00:53:28and tools
00:53:29and went back home.
00:53:33The idea behind that
00:53:34is that
00:53:35none of these ancient monuments
00:53:37that were constructed
00:53:38or manufactured
00:53:38by extraterrestrials,
00:53:40it was us,
00:53:41humans,
00:53:42who built it
00:53:43with extraterrestrial technology.
00:53:47It's entirely possible
00:53:49that there were visitations,
00:53:51that they pointed out
00:53:52ways to do things
00:53:54and that they wanted
00:53:55to leave some kind
00:53:55of a record.
00:53:56I mean,
00:53:57if you're going to leave
00:53:58a permanent record,
00:53:59the only way you can do that
00:54:01is in stone.
00:54:03But if advanced beings
00:54:05from another planet
00:54:06really did bring
00:54:07their technology to Earth,
00:54:09might the ancient astronauts
00:54:11have left
00:54:11one of their tools behind?
00:54:20The methods used
00:54:22to build huge
00:54:23megalithic structures
00:54:24such as Puma Punku
00:54:26and the pyramids of Egypt
00:54:27remain a mystery.
00:54:33But what about the tools
00:54:34used to build them?
00:54:36Where are they?
00:54:38And might they provide a clue
00:54:40as to how these enormous
00:54:41stone structures
00:54:42were created?
00:54:47A lot of the real
00:54:48ancient mysterious work
00:54:50was done at a time
00:54:52when there was no steel
00:54:54and the copper they had
00:54:55was, yeah,
00:54:57they could harden it
00:54:58by cold hammering it
00:54:59but still wouldn't make
00:55:01a dent in rocks
00:55:02like basalt
00:55:03and granite.
00:55:07So they would have had
00:55:08to use, you know,
00:55:10much more labor's techniques
00:55:12or they had some sort of
00:55:14advanced technology
00:55:16which escapes me.
00:55:17And I've been in the business
00:55:1940 years.
00:55:25The tools and machines
00:55:26must have been equal
00:55:28to the task
00:55:29of actually building
00:55:30the pyramids
00:55:32crafting those statues
00:55:34to such a high order
00:55:35of precision
00:55:37crafting those boxes
00:55:39to a modern-day precision
00:55:40that we find
00:55:41in our inspection lab.
00:55:44and the big question
00:55:46where are the tools?
00:55:59in the late 19th century
00:56:01British archaeologist
00:56:03Sir Flinders Petrie
00:56:04scoured Egypt
00:56:06looking not for the biggest items
00:56:08but the smallest.
00:56:13Petrie was absolutely fascinated
00:56:16by the technical achievements
00:56:17of the Egyptians
00:56:19particularly the early Egyptians.
00:56:22He constantly was looking
00:56:24for how they made things
00:56:26how they developed things
00:56:27how they continued
00:56:28to sort of basically
00:56:29perfect their tools.
00:56:31We're normally taught
00:56:33that the ancient Egyptians
00:56:34had simple tools
00:56:36and what Petrie brought out
00:56:39is information
00:56:40that seems to
00:56:41actually argue
00:56:42against that notion.
00:56:50This is an example
00:56:52of a drill hole.
00:56:53You can see
00:56:54the very fine lines on it.
00:56:56You can see the technology
00:56:57that's made to use it.
00:56:59You can see
00:57:00how it's a perfect hole
00:57:01almost all the way through
00:57:02but it tapers at one end.
00:57:04This is the fragment
00:57:05of a diorite bowl
00:57:06it's one of the hardest substances
00:57:08and you can see
00:57:09on this fragment
00:57:11that there's a lathe mark
00:57:12which is really interesting
00:57:14that they managed to make
00:57:15such a mark
00:57:15in such a hard material.
00:57:20Among all the tools
00:57:22discovered by Petrie however
00:57:23one stood out
00:57:25from all the rest.
00:57:27While working inside
00:57:28the Great Pyramid
00:57:30Petrie stumbled across
00:57:31a tubular drill
00:57:33made of granite.
00:57:37Tubular drills
00:57:38amongst the ancient Egyptians
00:57:39were actually fairly common.
00:57:41I mean Petrie found
00:57:42quite a few of them.
00:57:43The interesting thing
00:57:44about the one
00:57:45that he found in Giza
00:57:46is that it's such hard stone
00:57:48that was so carefully
00:57:50curved,
00:57:51precisely grooved.
00:57:53As you can see
00:57:53it's got very,
00:57:55very fine markings on it
00:57:57basically lines
00:57:58literally a couple
00:57:59of millimetres apart.
00:58:01You can see
00:58:02it goes all the way round
00:58:04very, very accurately
00:58:06hardly any waves at all.
00:58:08He was absolutely
00:58:09amazed by this.
00:58:11He kept returning to it
00:58:13throughout his life.
00:58:15His theory
00:58:16was that the Egyptians
00:58:17must have had access
00:58:19to diamonds
00:58:19or some kind of jewel
00:58:21that would have cut it.
00:58:23The interesting thing
00:58:24about Petrie's theory
00:58:27about how these drill lines
00:58:28were made
00:58:28was that he never discovered
00:58:29any diamonds
00:58:30in ancient Egypt.
00:58:34So where were they?
00:58:35Where did they go?
00:58:36We don't know.
00:58:39If the ancient Egyptians
00:58:41didn't possess diamonds
00:58:42how were the precision grooves
00:58:45cut onto the granite drill?
00:58:47Did Petrie accidentally
00:58:49discover a tool
00:58:50made by extraterrestrials?
00:58:54Machinist expert Chris Dunn
00:58:56attempted to answer
00:58:57this question
00:58:57by creating his own
00:58:59granite drill
00:58:59using the known tools
00:59:01and techniques
00:59:02of the ancient Egyptians.
00:59:07In order to test
00:59:09the Egyptologist theory
00:59:10about how the ancient Egyptians
00:59:11drilled into granite
00:59:13I took a tube
00:59:15and I fixed a crank on it
00:59:18and actually used sand
00:59:21and silicon carbide
00:59:22and after many hours
00:59:24of turning and drilling
00:59:25into this piece of granite
00:59:28it finally got deep enough
00:59:29that I could actually
00:59:30pop a core out.
00:59:32And the reason for that
00:59:33was to actually look
00:59:34at the surface
00:59:35not just of the hole
00:59:37but of the core.
00:59:39The next step
00:59:41was to use
00:59:41a high-tech industrial microscope
00:59:43to compare his drill core
00:59:45to a latex copy
00:59:47of the one
00:59:47at the Petrie Museum.
00:59:49We have under the microscope
00:59:51the core that we drilled
00:59:53with the copper tube
00:59:54and sand
00:59:55and as you can see
00:59:56the surface of the core
00:59:59the striations
01:00:00are not very clear.
01:00:04There's nothing
01:00:05really distinctive
01:00:07in terms of
01:00:08the feed
01:00:09of the tool marks
01:00:10using sand
01:00:12and copper.
01:00:15Now bringing the latex
01:00:17that they took
01:00:18of the core
01:00:18in the Petrie Museum
01:00:19and
01:00:21we see something
01:00:23totally different.
01:00:25The striations
01:00:26are very clear
01:00:27and they're quite deep.
01:00:29the devil
01:00:31is actually
01:00:31in the details
01:00:32and the details
01:00:34of this particular
01:00:35artifact
01:00:35are what I consider
01:00:37to be
01:00:37a smoking gun
01:00:39in terms of
01:00:40what level
01:00:42of technology
01:00:43we give
01:00:43the ancient Egyptians
01:00:44credit for.
01:00:49Intrigued
01:00:50by his discovery
01:00:51Chris Dunn
01:00:53performed
01:00:53other experiments
01:00:54using his
01:00:55precision instruments.
01:00:58As you can see
01:00:59this is a
01:01:01an inspection
01:01:02surface plate
01:01:03probably
01:01:06ground to
01:01:07within
01:01:07two tenths
01:01:09of an inch
01:01:10that is
01:01:11one tenth
01:01:11the thickness
01:01:12of a human hair.
01:01:15Now
01:01:16I was really amazed
01:01:18when I went
01:01:18inside the Serapian
01:01:20and put these
01:01:21gauges
01:01:22up against
01:01:23the surface
01:01:24and found
01:01:26them to be
01:01:26within
01:01:27what I consider
01:01:28to be
01:01:29the tolerance
01:01:30of these
01:01:31particular gauges.
01:01:33If you
01:01:34would put
01:01:35a piece of paper
01:01:36under one edge
01:01:37of that blade
01:01:39just a piece
01:01:40of paper
01:01:42you begin
01:01:43to see
01:01:43that there
01:01:44would be light
01:01:45leaking through.
01:01:48and so
01:01:49the precision
01:01:50on the inside
01:01:51of the
01:01:51granite boxes
01:01:52in the Serapian
01:01:55I would say
01:01:56within
01:01:57two thousand
01:01:59of an inch
01:02:01which is
01:02:02incredible
01:02:03because those
01:02:04tolerances
01:02:04can't just
01:02:05appear by accident.
01:02:09It was very
01:02:10shocking
01:02:11it was astounding
01:02:12to me
01:02:13to go to
01:02:14Egypt
01:02:14and go
01:02:16into a
01:02:16facility
01:02:17that was
01:02:17supposedly
01:02:18three thousand
01:02:19years old
01:02:20and find
01:02:21the same
01:02:21kind of
01:02:22precision.
01:02:23I was
01:02:24amazed.
01:02:30I've seen
01:02:31evidence
01:02:32of the
01:02:32carvings
01:02:33on granite
01:02:34done in
01:02:35Egypt
01:02:36and they
01:02:36did it
01:02:37with little
01:02:38shards
01:02:38of quartz.
01:02:40I believe
01:02:41they would
01:02:42have just
01:02:42scratched away
01:02:43the stone
01:02:44with that.
01:02:44That's
01:02:45one possibility
01:02:46but that's
01:02:49a heck
01:02:49of a lot
01:02:49of work
01:02:50to do
01:02:51that.
01:02:51We're talking
01:02:52somebody would
01:02:53devote years
01:02:54to doing
01:02:54something like
01:02:55that.
01:02:56But here
01:02:57is my
01:02:57point.
01:02:58Here we
01:02:59have a
01:02:59real life
01:03:00stonecutter.
01:03:01You.
01:03:02You see
01:03:03this and
01:03:04there's like
01:03:05smoke coming
01:03:05out of your
01:03:06head.
01:03:07Let's put it
01:03:07this way.
01:03:08I had a
01:03:09client come in
01:03:10and ask me
01:03:10to do that.
01:03:11I wouldn't
01:03:11do it
01:03:11for any
01:03:12amount
01:03:12of money
01:03:13because I'm
01:03:13not going
01:03:13to waste
01:03:14my life
01:03:14trying to
01:03:15replicate
01:03:16that.
01:03:18But
01:03:19precision
01:03:19cut stone
01:03:20monuments
01:03:20are not
01:03:21the only
01:03:22enduring
01:03:22Middle
01:03:23Eastern
01:03:23mysteries.
01:03:25Engineering
01:03:26experts
01:03:26have also
01:03:27examined
01:03:28the Bible
01:03:28story
01:03:29of the
01:03:29Israelites'
01:03:30exodus
01:03:30from Egypt.
01:03:32Just how
01:03:33did they
01:03:33survive
01:03:34for 40
01:03:35years
01:03:35in the
01:03:35desert?
01:03:36Could
01:03:37they have
01:03:37possessed
01:03:38intricate
01:03:38machines
01:03:39with
01:03:40extraordinary
01:03:40abilities
01:03:41used not
01:03:42for building
01:03:42but for
01:03:43man's
01:03:44own
01:03:45survival?
01:03:50In the
01:03:51Hebrew
01:03:51Bible,
01:03:52the book
01:03:53of Exodus
01:03:53describes how
01:03:54the Jewish
01:03:55people suffered
01:03:56as slaves
01:03:56living in
01:03:57Egypt.
01:04:00Then sometime
01:04:01in the 14th
01:04:02century B.C.,
01:04:03the ruling
01:04:04Pharaoh feared
01:04:05their growing
01:04:06numbers and
01:04:07ordered the
01:04:07killing of
01:04:08all firstborn
01:04:09Jews living
01:04:09in Egypt.
01:04:12In an effort
01:04:13to save
01:04:14her son,
01:04:15one mother
01:04:15put her
01:04:16child in
01:04:16a small
01:04:17basket and
01:04:18set him
01:04:18adrift on
01:04:19the Nile
01:04:20River.
01:04:23That child
01:04:24was found
01:04:25by the
01:04:25Pharaoh's
01:04:26family,
01:04:26who named
01:04:27him Moses
01:04:27and raised
01:04:28him as
01:04:29their own.
01:04:30As an
01:04:31adult,
01:04:32Moses discovered
01:04:33his true
01:04:33identity and
01:04:34demanded that
01:04:35the Pharaoh
01:04:36free the
01:04:36Jews.
01:04:37When the
01:04:38Pharaoh rejected
01:04:39him, Moses
01:04:40helped the
01:04:41Jews escape
01:04:41from Egypt.
01:04:44Historians
01:04:45believe that
01:04:46Moses and
01:04:46his people
01:04:47crossed the
01:04:48Red Sea and
01:04:49made their
01:04:49way into
01:04:50the Sinai
01:04:50Desert.
01:04:52According to
01:04:53the ancient
01:04:53texts, God
01:04:55grew angry at
01:04:55the Jews for
01:04:56idol worshiping
01:04:57and forced
01:04:58them to
01:04:59wander the
01:04:59desert aimlessly
01:05:00for 40 years
01:05:01before allowing
01:05:02them to enter
01:05:03Israel.
01:05:04During this
01:05:05time, the
01:05:06Bible says the
01:05:07Israelites survived
01:05:08by eating a
01:05:09single food
01:05:09source, manna.
01:05:11But what is
01:05:12manna?
01:05:13A naturally
01:05:14abundant food
01:05:15provided by
01:05:16God?
01:05:16Or as some
01:05:17believe,
01:05:18something very
01:05:19different?
01:05:21In the Bible,
01:05:22it explains how
01:05:23the Israelites
01:05:24got from
01:05:25Egypt, where
01:05:26they'd been
01:05:26slaves, to the
01:05:28promised land.
01:05:29They had to
01:05:30cross the
01:05:31Sinai Desert.
01:05:34And inevitably,
01:05:36given that there
01:05:36was a lot of
01:05:38Israelites and
01:05:39very little
01:05:40growing as it
01:05:41was a desert,
01:05:41they ran short
01:05:42on supplies.
01:05:44God stepped in
01:05:44at this point
01:05:45and sent manna
01:05:47from heaven.
01:05:48This took the
01:05:49form of some
01:05:50kind of seeds
01:05:51that rained down
01:05:52upon the desert
01:05:53and then they
01:05:54were collected
01:05:55the next day
01:05:55and they provided
01:05:57food for the
01:05:58Israelites, except
01:05:58Friday, when
01:06:00there was a
01:06:00double portion
01:06:01because on
01:06:02Saturday, being
01:06:03the Sabbath,
01:06:04it didn't fall.
01:06:07While the
01:06:08Hebrew Bible
01:06:09fails to give
01:06:09a clear
01:06:10description of
01:06:11manna, another
01:06:12ancient Jewish
01:06:13text provides
01:06:14an alternative
01:06:15clue.
01:06:17The Zohar is
01:06:18a collection of
01:06:19spiritual commentaries
01:06:20and interpretations
01:06:21of the Torah and
01:06:23is central to the
01:06:24mystical Kabbalah
01:06:25belief written in
01:06:26the 13th century.
01:06:27the Zohar
01:06:29describes what is
01:06:30called the
01:06:31Ancient of Days
01:06:31as providing the
01:06:33manna.
01:06:34But what was
01:06:35this Ancient of Days?
01:06:36A man, a god,
01:06:39or something else?
01:06:40The text speaks of
01:06:42different sized brains,
01:06:46different sized faces.
01:06:47They were connected
01:06:49with different tubes
01:06:51and different light
01:06:53sources.
01:06:54Theologians have
01:06:55suggested that this
01:06:56is a description of
01:06:57God.
01:06:58However, when looked
01:07:01at from a modern
01:07:02perspective, what is
01:07:04described in the
01:07:05Zohar isn't
01:07:07necessarily a God
01:07:09figure, but rather a
01:07:11type of machine.
01:07:13Intrigued by this
01:07:15information, two
01:07:16electrical engineers,
01:07:18George Sassoon and
01:07:19Rodney Dale, used
01:07:21the anatomical
01:07:22descriptions of the
01:07:23Ancient of Days to
01:07:24design what they
01:07:25called a manna
01:07:26machine.
01:07:29This really is the
01:07:31key diagram of the
01:07:33manna machine as we
01:07:34built it up from the
01:07:35texts.
01:07:36For instance, one
01:07:38here is the mouth,
01:07:40but it's actually the
01:07:41air intake, which
01:07:42carries what is
01:07:43described as the
01:07:45breath of life.
01:07:47The air goes up
01:07:48this tube here,
01:07:50which is described
01:07:51as the brain of
01:07:53the ancient one,
01:07:54but is actually a
01:07:55dew still.
01:07:56So that although
01:07:57we were talking
01:07:58about the great sea
01:07:59and the hairs of
01:08:00the beard and so
01:08:01on, at the same
01:08:02time we were able
01:08:03to work out their
01:08:05relative positions,
01:08:07build up the
01:08:08specification of the
01:08:08machine and find
01:08:10that we had
01:08:11something that was
01:08:11biochemically
01:08:13viable.
01:08:22The machine took
01:08:23in moist morning
01:08:24air and condensed
01:08:26it in the part of
01:08:27the machine that
01:08:28looked like a
01:08:29plexiglass dome.
01:08:31From there, it
01:08:32mixed with an
01:08:33algae culture.
01:08:35The culture was
01:08:36treated with energy
01:08:37such as a strong
01:08:39laser light in order
01:08:40to speed the
01:08:40growth.
01:08:43of course it
01:08:44needed energy
01:08:45for cultivating
01:08:46the algae
01:08:46and this was
01:08:48produced, we
01:08:49postulate, in a
01:08:50small nuclear
01:08:51reactor which
01:08:52would produce both
01:08:53heat and light
01:08:54as required.
01:08:57the manna machine
01:08:58was a very dangerous
01:09:02device.
01:09:03We suspect that the
01:09:04reactor that
01:09:05powered the
01:09:05machine was
01:09:06transported in the
01:09:07Ark of the
01:09:07Covenant.
01:09:13We have multiple
01:09:15references in the
01:09:16Bible that whoever
01:09:17came close to the
01:09:19Ark of the Covenant
01:09:20and didn't know
01:09:21how to operate it
01:09:23was smitten to
01:09:24death.
01:09:27And sometimes
01:09:28people, after
01:09:29they encountered
01:09:31the Ark, started
01:09:32to lose their
01:09:33nails and started
01:09:34to lose their
01:09:35hair.
01:09:35So we have
01:09:37evidence of some
01:09:39type of radiation
01:09:40poisoning which was
01:09:41in direct correlation
01:09:43with the Ark of the
01:09:44Covenant.
01:09:44and so the Ark of
01:09:46the Covenant housed
01:09:48an extraterrestrial
01:09:50device which was
01:09:51given to the
01:09:52Israelites during
01:09:53their 40-year
01:09:54wanderings from the
01:09:55desert.
01:09:57The manna machine
01:09:59is believed to have
01:10:00supplied a highly
01:10:01nutritious form of
01:10:02green algae or
01:10:03chlorella as its
01:10:04food source.
01:10:06It's yet another
01:10:07theory supported by
01:10:08modern science.
01:10:10We found that work
01:10:12in the field of
01:10:13space travel had
01:10:14already been done
01:10:15where the green
01:10:17alga chlorella was
01:10:18bred in tanks and
01:10:21fed to people
01:10:22living in the
01:10:24closed environment
01:10:25and kept them
01:10:27alive.
01:10:28Research studies done
01:10:29by NASA in the
01:10:301960s and 1970s
01:10:33established that
01:10:34human life could be
01:10:35sustained for
01:10:35extended periods of
01:10:37time by consuming
01:10:38chlorella algae and
01:10:40nothing else.
01:10:41If it's possible for
01:10:42astronauts to survive
01:10:44on algae, could the
01:10:45Israelites have done
01:10:46the same?
01:10:49The manna machine
01:10:52was a sensitive
01:10:53device.
01:10:54In order to function
01:10:55properly, it had to be
01:10:57cleaned once a week.
01:11:01On that day, the
01:11:02machine was taken
01:11:03apart and cleaned.
01:11:04So it's possible that
01:11:06the Sabbath we have
01:11:07today actually originated
01:11:09from cleaning this
01:11:10machine.
01:11:14One theory that one
01:11:16could put forward, of
01:11:17course, is that the
01:11:18machine, although they
01:11:20knew how to maintain
01:11:22it and make it
01:11:24produce the manna,
01:11:25that it did, after a
01:11:27time, pack up, not
01:11:29work anymore.
01:11:29And that was why they
01:11:30came out of the desert.
01:11:31But if the Israelite
01:11:33survival depended upon
01:11:35the manna machine,
01:11:36where did they get it?
01:11:37Some believe they had
01:11:39stolen it from the
01:11:40Egyptians prior to their
01:11:41exodus.
01:11:42Others suspect
01:11:44extraterrestrials gave it
01:11:45to them as a
01:11:46humanitarian gesture to
01:11:48prevent their starvation
01:11:49in the desert.
01:11:50Either way, the answer,
01:11:52like the Ark of the
01:11:53Covenant, seems lost to
01:11:55history.
01:11:59Today, scientists have
01:12:01successfully pioneered a
01:12:03process that produces a
01:12:04substance high in protein
01:12:06by means of solar energy,
01:12:08water vapor, and
01:12:09chlorella algae.
01:12:11Could this be a
01:12:12duplication of alien
01:12:13technology from thousands
01:12:15of years ago?
01:12:16They actually built a
01:12:18machine, a machine based
01:12:21on algae culture producing
01:12:24some type of superfood,
01:12:26and we can find a
01:12:28similar type of
01:12:29technology described in
01:12:32the Zohar.
01:12:33Is history repeating
01:12:35itself?
01:12:36One of the big questions
01:12:37is where did the
01:12:40machine come from?
01:12:41And I suppose there are
01:12:42two answers to that.
01:12:44Either it was built on
01:12:45Earth, which is a
01:12:47theory I can't really
01:12:48subscribe to.
01:12:49The other question, of
01:12:50course, is that it might
01:12:51have come from outer
01:12:52space somewhere.
01:12:53Now that's quite a big
01:12:55leap of imagination, but
01:12:57of course the interesting
01:12:59part is that it actually
01:13:01produces food as is used
01:13:04by a spacecraft.
01:13:05If the ancient world
01:13:07contained mana machines,
01:13:08giant mega-saws, and
01:13:10sophisticated aircraft, what
01:13:13was the energy source for
01:13:14all of this technology?
01:13:16The answer may be hiding
01:13:17in plain sight.
01:13:23Of all the ancient
01:13:24structures located around
01:13:26the world, perhaps none is
01:13:28more mysterious or as
01:13:29enduring as the Great Pyramid
01:13:31at Giza.
01:13:34At a height of 471 feet,
01:13:38the Great Pyramid stood as
01:13:39the tallest structure in the
01:13:41world until the completion of
01:13:42the Eiffel Tower in 1889.
01:13:46But while other pyramids and
01:13:48temples contain walls filled
01:13:49with hieroglyphics describing
01:13:51their purpose, the Great Pyramid
01:13:53lacks even a single marking.
01:13:55What was its function?
01:13:57Why was it built?
01:13:59And what secrets remain hidden
01:14:00inside?
01:14:02Nobody has been able to explain
01:14:04the interior design of this
01:14:05pyramid.
01:14:06It simply doesn't make sense
01:14:07according to our logic.
01:14:08You have narrow tunnels that you
01:14:11have to crouch, you emerge in
01:14:12grand galleries that are nine
01:14:14meters high.
01:14:17You have chambers that are made
01:14:19of granite where granite doesn't
01:14:20come from in the air.
01:14:22You have to ship the granite by
01:14:23barges 600 miles away.
01:14:26It's an anonymous site, not a
01:14:30single inscription, not a single
01:14:32hieroglyph, not a single
01:14:34anything.
01:14:35It's just there.
01:14:41Some people speculated that it
01:14:43was a temple and the initiation
01:14:45chamber where people would go to
01:14:47the king's chamber and become
01:14:49enlightened.
01:14:50There are anecdotal reports about
01:14:52people who have been inside the
01:14:54pyramid and have come out
01:14:55absolutely shaken because it was
01:14:57haunted.
01:15:04Egyptologists believe that the
01:15:06pyramids were built to bury the dead
01:15:07pharaoh.
01:15:09The problem with the accepted view
01:15:11is the fact that not a single
01:15:13dead pharaoh's body has been found
01:15:15inside a pyramid, even when the
01:15:17pyramid was completely sealed, i.e.
01:15:19not a single grave robber could have
01:15:21entered it.
01:15:23The Egyptologists say it's to
01:15:24conceal the body.
01:15:27Well, why advertise it?
01:15:29I mean, there's nothing more
01:15:29visible than a pyramid for miles.
01:15:35And to this day, you would have
01:15:36thought, in this modern age, with
01:15:39all the knowledge we have, we
01:15:40should be able to explain this
01:15:41pyramid.
01:15:41We cannot explain this pyramid.
01:15:46Engineering expert Christopher Dunn
01:15:48has been on a personal quest to
01:15:50unlock the secrets of the Great Pyramid
01:15:52since the late 1970s.
01:15:55According to him, there are specific
01:15:57clues in the design and construction
01:15:59of this mega-monument that can help
01:16:01answer exactly why it was built.
01:16:06When you look at the Great Pyramid
01:16:07and look at the culture that built it,
01:16:10there are brilliant, brilliant engineers.
01:16:12In fact, a lot of engineers say,
01:16:13we couldn't build the Great Pyramid today.
01:16:15And it was built supposedly 4,500 years ago.
01:16:18And it was built to the precision of a machine.
01:16:22When I started to do the research and
01:16:26I examined the Great Pyramid, with the
01:16:29eye of a functionality, it was built like
01:16:33a machine.
01:16:33Perhaps it functioned like a machine.
01:16:37The interior design of the Great Pyramid
01:16:40features four inclined air shafts emanating
01:16:43from the King's Chamber and the Lower
01:16:45Queen's Chamber.
01:16:47Like the Great Pyramid itself,
01:16:49their presence and purpose cannot be easily explained.
01:16:53The difficulty of building those shafts
01:16:55is incredible.
01:16:56It's a bit like building a chimney
01:16:58at an incline across a house.
01:17:00I mean, as a construction area,
01:17:01I can tell you, it's a nightmare.
01:17:03In 2002, a team of engineers and Egyptologists
01:17:07sent a small robot into one of the air shafts
01:17:10connected to the Queen's Chamber.
01:17:12After 65 meters, a stone door blocked its path.
01:17:17A hole was then drilled through it.
01:17:20On the other side was a small room with yet another door
01:17:24leading further up the shaft.
01:17:27Since the discovery of the door, we've had every university,
01:17:31archaeologists, anthropologists, every engineer you can think of,
01:17:35nobody has been able to explain the purpose of these shafts.
01:17:39But were these shafts ever open?
01:17:42And if they were, what might they have been used for?
01:17:46The early explorers that went into the Queen's Chamber
01:17:49found that the walls were coated with a layer of salt.
01:17:53That kind of gelled with a theory that I had developed.
01:17:59You had a dilute hydrochloric acid solution
01:18:03coming down one shaft
01:18:04and hydrated zinc coming down the other shaft.
01:18:09And when they combined in the Queen's Chamber,
01:18:12they created hydrogen.
01:18:14Hydrogen.
01:18:15It is one of the most powerful energy sources in the universe.
01:18:19In the mid-19th century,
01:18:22it was hydrogen gas that helped lift
01:18:24some of mankind's first airships,
01:18:26called Zeppelins, into the sky.
01:18:29Today, it is used as a fuel to launch rockets into space.
01:18:34And if, thousands of years ago,
01:18:37the Great Pyramid was actually producing hydrogen,
01:18:41that would make it one of the earliest power plants known to man.
01:18:46The Giza power plant theory is essentially the drawing of energy from the Earth
01:18:53through the Great Pyramid
01:18:54and converting that energy into microwave energy.
01:19:00So, the chemicals actually come in through the shafts into the Queen's Chamber,
01:19:05and then they combine and mix, and hydrogen boils off.
01:19:09The hydrogen is then lighter than air, and it will flow into all the upper chambers.
01:19:14The energy from the Earth is then vibrating the whole pyramid.
01:19:20The vibrations are picked up in the Grand Gallery.
01:19:24So, I proposed the Grand Gallery was a resonator hall,
01:19:29and there are 27 pair of slots that actually go up the length of the gallery,
01:19:35and then the resonators were mounted in there vertically.
01:19:39Christopher Dunn is theorizing that with resonating galleries,
01:19:44the pyramid shot a microwave out of one of the shafts.
01:19:48And once you started up this power plant,
01:19:52it would have gone on for years, decades, even hundreds of years,
01:19:56without stopping and creating the microwave.
01:19:59And that was a usable energy that could be captured.
01:20:03Now, we can speculate where it goes from there.
01:20:06It could be collected in the immediate vicinity,
01:20:09or it could keep traveling off into space.
01:20:12We don't know.
01:20:13That's the mystery.
01:20:16But if the Great Pyramid was actually a power plant producing energy,
01:20:21was it doing it alone?
01:20:24Or was it part of a larger network?
01:20:28And are there any clues that could tell us
01:20:30what all of that energy was being used for?
01:20:40Perhaps the 20th century's most influential inventor
01:20:43was a Serbian-American named Nikola Tesla.
01:20:49His patents on alternating electrical currents and distribution
01:20:53helped establish the commercial electricity industry.
01:20:58He also made contributions to robotics,
01:21:02radar,
01:21:03and computer science.
01:21:08But while Tesla can be credited for many scientific advances,
01:21:12one idea that fell short
01:21:14was his attempt to create a wireless electrical grid.
01:21:18Tesla's project was to have these towers
01:21:22around the United States and around the world.
01:21:26They would broadcast electricity like a television station.
01:21:35Instead of having to string power lines all over the place,
01:21:39you just transmit the energy through the air or through the ground.
01:21:46There were a number of demonstrations
01:21:48of this device for wireless power transmission
01:21:52during Tesla's lifetime.
01:21:54So we know the device worked.
01:21:59It appears that he was using
01:22:01the conductivity of the ground or the air
01:22:05to carry the electric current.
01:22:07Basically, in the air,
01:22:09if you put enough voltage on it,
01:22:11you'll get an arc across it.
01:22:14You see that all the time
01:22:15in a fluorescent light bulb.
01:22:17In the ground,
01:22:19you have water,
01:22:20mineral salts
01:22:20that can also carry the ions along
01:22:23and therefore carry the electric current.
01:22:27But while Tesla's power towers
01:22:30proved popular in theory,
01:22:31the project ended in financial failure.
01:22:35But could Tesla's idea
01:22:37of wireless electricity
01:22:39have been a rediscovery
01:22:40of an ancient technology.
01:22:49I believe that what Tesla was doing
01:22:52was trying to recreate
01:22:54what was an ancient power system
01:22:58that was used around the world.
01:23:00And the way they did this
01:23:02was the use of obelisks.
01:23:12Obelisks as monolithic
01:23:14granite towers,
01:23:16which are one solid piece of crystal.
01:23:19And the obelisks themselves
01:23:21were cut to special sizes
01:23:24and tuned like a tuning fork.
01:23:27Could these ancient broadcast towers
01:23:30really have sent electricity
01:23:32up into the atmosphere?
01:23:34And if so,
01:23:36how was the electricity generated?
01:23:39Each of these obelisks
01:23:40would have required
01:23:41some kind of generating power station
01:23:45similar to what we have today.
01:23:47Electricity is created
01:23:49by rotating magnetic fields.
01:23:51So rotating magnetic fields
01:23:53generate AC power.
01:23:56The very first power station
01:23:57was built by Nikola Tesla
01:23:59at Niagara Falls.
01:24:01You've got to have
01:24:03some sort of power
01:24:04that's spinning the rotating fields.
01:24:07And in this case,
01:24:08it would be water.
01:24:10So every obelisk
01:24:12would have had to have had
01:24:13a power station
01:24:14similar to like the one
01:24:15at Niagara Falls.
01:24:16It's generating power,
01:24:18but the obelisk itself
01:24:19is putting the power
01:24:21into the atmosphere,
01:24:22making it usable.
01:24:24And this is similar
01:24:25to Christopher Dunn's theory
01:24:27of the Giza power plant
01:24:29because he believes
01:24:31that the Great Pyramid
01:24:33was actually sending
01:24:34a microwave beam
01:24:35to a satellite
01:24:36that was in orbit
01:24:38around the planet.
01:24:39That satellite then
01:24:41could have been taking
01:24:43microwave power
01:24:45and then it could
01:24:47transmit it again
01:24:48in theory
01:24:48to some other location
01:24:50on the Earth,
01:24:51such as, say,
01:24:52a remote island
01:24:53like Easter Island
01:24:54or something like that.
01:24:56From some of the descriptions
01:24:58of ancient flying machines,
01:25:01it's possible
01:25:02that some form
01:25:03of power beaming
01:25:04might have been used.
01:25:06And in fact,
01:25:08for a lot of the schemes
01:25:10that you see,
01:25:11it actually would make
01:25:12a lot of sense
01:25:13because you could put
01:25:15the power beaming station
01:25:17on a mother ship
01:25:18in orbit.
01:25:20You're just beaming energy
01:25:22to the vehicle
01:25:23where it's absorbed
01:25:24and turned into
01:25:25propulsion thrust.
01:25:26It actually makes
01:25:28a lot of sense
01:25:29because you're taking
01:25:30the energy system,
01:25:32the power system,
01:25:33off of the vehicle
01:25:34and locating it remotely.
01:25:41Electricity.
01:25:43Power tools.
01:25:46Mega machinery.
01:25:48And the ability
01:25:49to explore the heavens.
01:25:54Have these technologies
01:25:56been available
01:25:57for just the past few centuries?
01:25:59Or are they
01:26:00of ancient origin,
01:26:02only recently rediscovered?
01:26:05Were our ancestors
01:26:06capable of these
01:26:07incredible achievements?
01:26:09or might they have come
01:26:10from another source,
01:26:12one much more
01:26:13out of this world?
01:26:18Civilizations were
01:26:19much more advanced
01:26:20than we give them credit
01:26:21and literally
01:26:22as advanced
01:26:23as we are today.
01:26:28In my view,
01:26:29we need to take this seriously
01:26:31simply because of
01:26:32the scale of the work.
01:26:33We're looking at monuments
01:26:34that took perhaps
01:26:35a century to build.
01:26:37even today
01:26:38we have difficulty
01:26:39in considering
01:26:40such a project.
01:26:41It just boggles the mind.
01:26:43And really,
01:26:44to look at those artifacts
01:26:46and to go back in time
01:26:47and say,
01:26:48how did they do it?
01:26:50We are kind of
01:26:51cracking the lid open
01:26:52a little bit
01:26:52and looking inside
01:26:53to try and see
01:26:54just what happened
01:26:55in our history.
01:26:56it's a question
01:26:57which is a scientific question
01:26:59and you constantly
01:27:00have to ask it
01:27:01and the possible answer
01:27:02of have aliens visited
01:27:04in the past
01:27:05could be a potential yes.
01:27:11it's a very specific reason
01:27:14why all of this stuff
01:27:15was built in stone
01:27:17for posterity
01:27:19so it would last
01:27:20so that a future generation
01:27:23would have to stumble
01:27:26across these monuments.
01:27:28we are that society
01:27:30who can look
01:27:32at these ancient monuments
01:27:34and finally recognize
01:27:35that all of this stuff
01:27:37was built
01:27:38as a message
01:27:39for us to see
01:27:41that our past
01:27:42is way different
01:27:44than what we're being taught
01:27:46in school.
