Today, I went back to farming Runes with the bird.
I know it's unfair, but...
The trick is simple: shoot one arrow, get its attention, and let it run straight toward the cliff.
It works every single time.
Then the bird respawns like nothing happened.
No hard feelings.
Well... except for that poor tree.
The bird always destroys that tree in the process.
And then the tree comes back...
Only to be destroyed again...
And again...
And again...
It's basically trapped in an endless cycle of suffering.
I'm sorry, tree.
Anyway, after farming enough Runes, I decided to invest in Mind and Strength so I could finally use a Greatsword.
And now I can finally say...
I HAVE A SWORD LIKE CLOUD FROM FINAL FANTASY VII!
Well... sort of.
I went for a little exploration after that and ended up fighting some bosses along the way.
Eventually, I reached a pretty dead-looking beach.
The enemies there were so skinny that they practically looked like skeletons.
I guess they took dieting a little too seriously.
So, just for fun, I decided to swing my giant sword around while riding Torrent on the beach...
Just to see if they would get the message.
They did.
And apparently, my attributes still weren't good enough for me.
So I went back to the bird.
And farmed some more Runes.
Because apparently...
THE BIRD IS MY BEST FRIEND NOW.
