00:46In 2024, when Trump was running for president, he promised a room full of big oil CEOs that
00:53if they gave his campaign a billion dollars, he would deliver for them.

00:59It's outrageous.
01:03Well, as the anti-corruption working group's investigation shows, big oil paid up to the
01:10tune of hundreds of millions of dollars.
01:12I am told it's obviously not public.
01:16But the Republican Senate super PAC, more than a quarter of its money comes from oil, gas,
01:20and coal alone.
01:22That's a rumor, but it's probably true.

01:26It's behind a wall.
01:28Trump blocked clean energy projects that would have brought down families' energy costs, that
01:33would have powered millions of homes.
01:35The administration, of course, shut down the cheapest and fastest sources of energy to
01:42get on the grid.
01:43They shut a lot of them down in mid-construction.
01:46Things were being built, workers were being paid, good paying jobs, and they shut it down
01:52in the middle, coming up with bogus reasons.
01:55Oh, you don't meet environmental concerns, which they never cared about before.

02:02Well, we can't tell you.
02:05It's like an economic dictatorship, an economic dictatorship.
02:10So now families are paying skyrocketing energy bills.
02:15Trump, his family, big oil, make billions.
02:19Trump has installed fossil fuel executives all over his administration to roll back protections
02:25that keep America's air and water clean.
02:28Thanks to Trump, these industries have a new license to pollute, so families face higher
02:34health care costs and will face them more and more down the road as the poisons accumulate
02:40in people's lungs.
02:42Trump has delivered benefits to the fossil fuel industry worth hundreds of billions of
02:46dollars, and Americans are paying for it.
02:48I launched the Senate Democrats' anti-corruption working group to expose Trump's corruption,
02:53to show Americans exactly what it's costing them, and build reforms needed to stop.
02:58And this report is one of the best things that our Congress has done on that issue of corruption.
03:06Since the start of his term, Trump and his corrupt family have made more than $4 billion
03:11off the presidency.
03:13Congress cannot sit by and let Trump rob the American people blind.
03:19The presidency belongs not to the oil industry and not to Donald Trump, but to the American people.

03:36You know, everyone likes to say, well, there were these windmills off this golf course coast

03:46That's an excuse to cover up, actually.
03:50It's a weak excuse.
03:51It's stupid.
03:52But it covers up the real corruption, which is the oil and gas industry making billions
03:58because of what Trump did.
