00:19At the time of his death, the 27-year-old model was living with several people
00:23in a sober house on the grounds of a Los Angeles area treatment center,
00:26where police and fire personnel responded and attempted life-saving measures.
00:30An insider told the U.S. Sun that no foul play was suspected and that the death was being
00:35investigated as an overdose, while the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said the investigation
00:40remains ongoing. Gerber had publicly discussed his struggles with substance abuse, depression,
00:45and mental health over the years, and in December 2025 revealed that he was dealing with prescription
00:51medication dependency and had been sober from alcohol for five months.
00:55In March, he shared that he traveled to a wellness clinic in Mexico for an ibogaine treatment,
