00:00And breaking news coming in, the Uttar Pradesh government has informed the Supreme Court that the charge sheet in the
00:06Ram Mandir Chandachori case will be filed within two days.
00:09This is in fact, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, representing the Uttar Pradesh government, has said that the detailed status report
00:16filed last evening at the CJS office, at the residence office.
00:20This is of course, while the Supreme Court is continuing to hear a PIL filed in the Ram Mandir Chandachori
00:27case.
00:27The Supreme Court, remember, had ordered for an independent probe to be set up in order to look into what
00:34has happened in the Chandachori case.
00:36And now the Uttar Pradesh government has told the Supreme Court that the charge sheet will be filed within the
00:41next two days.
00:43Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, in fact, has told the Supreme Court that the detailed status report was instead filed yesterday
00:49evening at the CJS residence office.
00:51For more details, let me go across to my colleague Anisha, who tracks the courts for us.
00:56Anisha, what is the latest you can tell us of what's happening in the Supreme Court?
01:00Well, Ridhankshi, the hearing is over now.
01:02The Supreme Court has taken on record the status report that has been filed.
01:07The Supreme Court was informed by the Solicitor General that since the 90-day period of investigation, a filing charge
01:13sheet is about to be over.
01:14The charge sheet, the initial charge sheet will be filed within the next two days.
01:19The court also took note of the status report where it has been noted that CCTV footage and other material
01:26is being analyzed.
01:30The receipts of any and all donations is given through a software that has been created and all of that
01:39is also being investigated by the SIT.
01:41Remember, the SIT report itself is in sealed cover and which is why the Supreme Court also closed the video
01:49conferencing facility when the hearing was ongoing.
01:52This was done with the VC access being closed when the hearing was taken up.
01:57But the court was informed by the SG that the charge sheet will be filed within the next two days
02:02so that the accused persons do not get statutory bail.
02:06Additionally, what we can tell you is that the Supreme Court has directed the magistrate, the Sessions judge who is
02:13handling the matter, to continue hearing the matter.
02:17They have said very clearly that we do not want to take over the investigation.
02:21We do not want to take over the monitoring of the case itself.
02:25That will continue to be in the trial court as is proper under the jurisdiction of the trial court.
02:34And the court has also requested the trial court to ensure that if there is any further directions required from
02:41the Supreme Court, then the court will step in.
02:45But for now, all action possibly will be before the Sessions judge court, which is the jurisdictional court where the
02:54SIT will file its charge sheet.
02:56But the big news that we can tell our viewers is that the charge sheet will be filed in the
03:00next couple of days.

03:12And the political face-off over Vande Mataram Rao in Karnataka continues.
03:16Union Minister Pralaj Joshi has now mounted a scathing attack on the Congress government in the state.
03:21He has claimed that Congress's mask of patriotism has fallen off and continuing to question the Congress's objection to seeing
03:29all six stanzas of Vande Mataram.
03:31Pralaj Joshi further goes on to state that this is an unpatriotic mandate by the Congress and his party is
03:38compromising on national pride.
03:42He has continued to tweet that the BGP will continue to fight Congress's quote-unquote anti-national mindset.
03:48Remember, this comes after the Vande Mataram, which is of course one of India's national song, continues to be a
03:55political hot potato between Congress and BGP, especially in Karnataka.
04:00Speaking of Karnataka, let me go across to my senior colleague, Naga Jinn, who is joining us at this point.
04:05Naga, take us through what has happened today in Karnataka Assembly and what are the repercussions that we are seeing
04:11when it comes to the political fallout of this round?
04:15In fact, when the Assembly convened this morning, there was chaos in terms of the Vande Mataram.
04:20There was a big showdown between the government and the opposition.
04:23The government stopped the song with just two stanzas of Vande Mataram rendition with a recorded clip.
04:29And the Speaker started to proceed the House with regular business.
04:32And immediately the BGP MLS stood up and continued to sing the rest of the Vande Mataram stanzas with a
04:38paper in hand as well.
04:39So it was a big showdown between the government and the opposition.
04:44Now, Union Minister Prala Joshi has termed this as a disgrace and that Congress is ready to compromise on national
04:51pride to please the masses in Delhi, is what Prala Joshi is saying.
04:55And he also goes on to say that this law was passed in the parliament that all stanzas have to
05:00be sung in to protect the national honor.
05:03And Congress is ready to compromise this is what Prala Joshi is saying and also said that the unpatriotic mandate
05:13is a direct slap on the face of the law that was passed by the national or the union government
05:18in Delhi in parliament in 2026.
05:21And said that the state government cannot issue a separate order overseeing the national law which says that all the
05:29tanzas should be sung of Vande Mataram.
05:32So it's a big showdown and phase-off between the government and the opposition in Karnataka.
