00:03around the country for Tuesday the 22nd of September and it is
00:08all about this very large high pressure system over
00:10southeastern Australia. That's going to bring warm, dry and
00:13sunny conditions for pretty much much of the country with the
00:16only wet weather just being some coastal showers along the
00:19New South Wales coast from around Sydney to the Queensland
00:22border and also some showers and thunderstorms developing
00:25through inland WA with an inland trough there. Otherwise you
00:29can see all dry and sunny for many areas maybe just a few
00:32coastal showers about exposed areas of northern Queensland.
00:35Let's have a look at all this in more detail. Firstly in
00:39Queensland you can see the Sunshine State living up to its
00:42name with sunshine right across the state and pretty warm in
00:45the west. We can see temperatures there in the mid to high 30s
00:48getting to the low 30s through inland areas and then the high
00:5120s for our coastal plain with fine and partly cloudy
00:54conditions statewide with lots of sunshine. The only weather
00:58that maybe will be some showers around coastal areas of the
01:00southeast later in the day but also up around our exposed
01:03coastal areas around the north tropical coast. Otherwise a warm
01:07and sunny one for many. Brisbane looking at 28 degrees and partly
01:11cloudy conditions. Moving down into New South Wales we can see
01:16those showers I mentioned earlier through the central Hunter,
01:18Mid-North and Northern Rivers coastal areas during the
01:22afternoon, morning, afternoon and evening but they'll clear
01:24around by night time. Elsewhere though we're going to stay dry,
01:27warm and sunny for many areas. Temperatures in the low 30s across
01:31northern areas getting to the low 20s in the southwest and
01:34south and also along our coastal areas as well. Sydney looking at
01:38cooler conditions at 19 degrees with a few showers after a very warm one
01:43on Monday. Canberra also much cooler 16 degrees with a cool start with a fair
01:48bit of cloud around. Moving down into Victoria we can see high
01:52pressure dominating weather there. So after a cold and frosty start
01:55particularly in some of our inland areas through central and western parts of the
01:59state. Could see the odd fog patch as well in some of our valleys. It's going to
02:02warm up to a dry, clear and mostly sunny day for many areas. Temperatures pretty
02:07much in the mid to high teens in the south. High teens to 20 degrees as you get
02:11towards the Murray. Melbourne looking at a cool start around 6 degrees. Good drop to
02:16three or four in the suburbs and then warming up to a sunny 17 degrees. Moving
02:21down into Tasmania high pressure also dominating there. Maybe just a few
02:25showers early on in the far south but otherwise a dry and partly cloudy day
02:28right across the state. Temperatures in the low teens in the west and north
02:32mid to high teens through eastern areas of Tasmania and staying dry as well with
02:37light winds. 17 degrees and partly cloudy in Hobart. Moving up into South Australia
02:43and sunshine is the main story right across the state from south to north and
02:47everywhere in between. Temperatures in the low to mid teens, sorry in the high
02:52teens to low 20s I should say in the south. Getting up into the high 20s to low 30s
02:57in the north with lots of sunshine. A cool start and then a sunny day in Adelaide.
03:0221 degrees. Moving over into WA and that inland trough I mentioned earlier is going
03:07to deepen during the day on Tuesday and it's going to bring showers,
03:11thunderstorms and patchy rain to the inland areas. Mostly probably east of the
03:15Wheatbelt as well. While further west along our west coast we're going to say
03:18dry and partly cloudy conditions there. Generally temperatures in the low 20s
03:23through the southwest. Getting into the mid to high 20s further east and north and
03:27then getting up into the high 30s sorry mid 30s through northern parts of the
03:31Pilbara. Perth looking at partly cloudy day and 22 degrees.
03:36Finally moving up into the northern territory and we're going to see dry and
03:40sunny weather for many areas. Temperatures in the low 30s in the south,
03:43mid 30s through central parts of the NT and mid to high 30s through parts of the
03:48top end and also across in the Kimberley as well. Staying fairly dry maybe just the
03:53odd coastal shower here or there but really many of us are going to stay dry and warm.
03:57And humidity really increasing for our coastal areas as well across northern
04:01Australia. Darwin looking at 33 degrees and mostly sunny skies.
