00:13The next question is about Gaza.
00:16The Gaza situation has created a lot of debate.
00:19What are your thoughts on this?
00:22Well, let me step back here because, you know, we witnessed the horrible attacks on Israel
00:32by Hamas on October 7th, and I said from the beginning that Israel was, of course, justified
00:39in going after Hamas and targeting Hamas.
00:42But what we saw very early on was that the Netanyahu government did not just target Hamas.
00:48They imposed collective punishment on all the people of Gaza and cut off humanitarian aid,
00:57food and water.
00:59I went twice.
01:00I went twice to the Egyptian-Gaza border.
01:04I tried to go into Gaza.
01:06I was denied entry by the government of Israel.
01:09But I witnessed firsthand the fact that trucks with food and emergency supplies were denied
01:17denied entry.
01:18And my view, and I took on the Biden administration on this repeatedly and vigorously, was that the
01:28United States should not be complicit in the destruction of Gaza and the huge amount of civilian
01:37harm and damage that was done.
01:40And that American taxpayers should not be providing a blank check to the Netanyahu government.
01:50We shouldn't provide a blank check to any foreign government.
01:56And we should not be complicit in the destruction of Gaza.
02:00And as we speak now, in addition to Gaza being a humanitarian disaster, we're also seeing the
02:05Netanyahu government essentially look the other way and in many cases be complicit in allowing
02:10violent settlers on the West Bank to deepen the occupation of the West Bank.
02:15So literally pushing Palestinians off of their lands, killing them, burning cars, houses, and even mosques.
02:24And what we're witnessing on the West Bank is ethnic cleansing.
02:27And so the United States should not be complicit in this.
02:30I have just filed recently what we call a 502B resolution to demand that the Trump administration provide a
02:37human rights report on the conduct of the Netanyahu government.
02:40And we're also going to be working very hard to block the most recently announced arms sale.
02:46The Trump administration just said they're going to send more 2,000 pound bombs to the
02:51Netanyahu government.
02:52That is wrong.
02:53And we should not be complicit in that.
