5 Family Members Found Dead in Karachi Home | Ahsanabad Tragedy | DQ News

A tragic incident has been reported from Karachi’s Ahsanabad area, where the bodies of five members of the same family — a doctor, his wife and their three children — were recovered from a flat.

Police said the bodies appeared to be several days old. The deceased doctor, identified as Umar, was reportedly working at a hospital in Ahsanabad.

According to police, neighbours alerted the authorities after noticing a strong smell coming from the flat. Police reached the location and the Crime Scene Unit collected evidence from the scene. The bodies were shifted for post-mortem examination.

SSP East Zubair Nazir Sheikh said the five bodies were found in the same room. He added that it was too early to determine the cause of death and that the final cause would be known after the post-mortem examination.

A neighbour also said the family had been living in the flat since February 2024 and had reportedly faced financial difficulties. The neighbour said the family had also opened a clinic in the area, but it did not succeed.

The investigation is underway, while police are collecting evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
